A/N: I know, I know, it's not ISOAT or DOY, but this little drabble has reinvigorated my creativity and has really gotten my mind back into the whole writing thing again. The prompts are all my own. This will be followed up with 30 shades of love from Kagome's POV; I'll try to have it up tomorrow. I hope you guys like it; at the very least, I hope this is enough Sess/Kag fluffiness (ah ha! Fluffy! Get it? Fluffy!) to hold you over until I update ISOAT and DOY. Reviews are love! Thanks for your patience y'all!
30 Shades of Love - Him
01. Rain
She smells like the rain to him, pure and fresh, with a hint of sadness all the same.
02. Air
She reminds him of a peacock; not that she is vain, but rather that she is an untouchable beauty, content with her life yet at the same time, striving for flight, to feel the air beneath her exotic wings.
03. Winter
He once asked her what her favorite season was, to which she replied, "Winter, because it's the warmest of them all."
04. Earth
She falls asleep amidst delicate wildflowers, but he dares not wake her for she looks so peaceful there, at one with nature, almost as if she has returned to the earth from whence she came.
05. Fall
Her greatest fear is that she will one day have a great and terrible fall and that no one will be there to catch her; he chuckles upon hearing this, not out of malice, but because he knows he would rather die than let any harm come to her.
06. Sacrifice
Her self-sacrificing nature may very well be her downfall, he realizes, since she would easily give up her own life to save another's; he will never let that happen, however, as he will make sure that the world does not take advantage of such a generous creature.
07. Mirror
He is the first to see her not as a flawed copy, but as just Kagome, a fact for which she is very grateful.
08. Unfair
The Fates are cruel, he decides, to curse one as pure as she with such a burdensome and dangerous task.
09. Destiny
Sesshoumaru never believed in Destiny until he met her.
10. Forever
He would like to spend forever with her but he also knows it is futile, so for now, he will be content to accept another day to cherish, to love, and to hold.
11. Missing
He has a minor heart attack the day he wakes up and finds her absent from his bed; as it turned out, she was in the garden gathering strawberries with which she was going to put on his birthday cake.
12. Butterfly
He witnesses her holding an injured butterfly in that small hand of hers, and at that moment, he knows he will never let her go.
13. Lucky
Sesshoumaru never believed in luck either, but on the day that Kagome confessed her love for him, he considered himself the luckiest demon in the world.
14. Family
He is not alone anymore; Kagome, Rin, and even the kit Shippou have given him the greatest gift of all – a family.
15. Whole
She is the missing part of him, his other half; black and white, together they are one.
16. Purpose
He now sees his life in a whole new light – he lives for her and only for her.
17. Despair
The weight of the shard hunting task stresses her to tears and she sobs, great heart-wrenching sobs that pierce his very soul; he murmurs comforting words, deciding that he never wants to see her tears again.
18. Human
She is no human, he realizes, she can't be; her power, patience, compassion, and selflessness all reveal her to be...an angel.
19. Feel
He is not an expressive man and she knows that; somehow, though he never says it, she understands that she makes him feel like he has never felt before.
20. Alive
For his entire existence, he has been alive in body only, he suddenly discovers; she has managed to awaken in him a love for life so strong that he feels like a child again and is about to pick flowers with Rin before he realizes how utterly ridiculous he would have looked.
21. Peace
He cannot remember the last time he felt so peaceful; probably because there never was a 'last time.'
22. Sleep
Above all else, he loves watching her sleep; it is those quiet moments following their passion that he can truly appreciate how special she is.
23. Mother
Seeing her protect their pups with the strength of a full-blooded youkai, Sesshoumaru is proud to call her the mother of his children.
24. Unworthy
Their relationship is often met with anything but acceptance for he is a demon and she a priestess; the slurs of those brave enough to insult him are nothing compared to his own feelings of unworthiness at tainting such a pure creature, feelings that she always washes away with her feather light touches and kisses.
25. Kiss
He cannot live without her kisses, he realizes, for they are sweeter than honey and far more precious than all the jewels in the world.
26. Touch
He was been with women before, of course, but they are nothing compared to her; the slightest brush of her soft fingertips against his skin is enough to send him into a lustful frenzy and his usually emotionless eyes burn with an unbridled passion.
27. Eyes
Her eyes truly are gateways to the soul; every emotion, every thought can be seen in her expressive orbs of azure-grey, not that she has ever had trouble expressing herself to begin with.
28. Secret
There are things he has never told her and will never tell her, for if he did, her little heart would positively burst from all the love he would shower upon her and that simply would not do.
29. Thankful
She is the best thing to ever happen to him, and for that, he is thankful.
30. End
His lover is mortal, he grudgingly accepts; she is mortal and will die as all mortals must.
