I'm Not a Elf!

A humor story based on our favorite Miko, and Taiyoukai.

Chapter One

Down The Well

"Inuyasha!"

Could this well be any smaller? Wondering how she ever got her bike up all those times before she pushed with a renewed force. Stupid bikes, with their stupid unmoving steel frames.

"Inuyasha!"

She yelled again, and glared at the bike. Where was he? First he ranted and raved about her when she wanted to go home, and then he didn't show when she returned and needed help dealing with her stubborn, persistent, not worth the time and broken nails . . .

"Inuyasha! Please come on and give me a hand!"

Yet there was no 'feh'. No, 'I'm coming you annoying human wench, just give me a sec,' and there was no, 'Ah, finally, you came back with ramem!' She instantly grew suspicious, and grasped the veins on the sides of the well. It looked like she was going to have to do this the hard way. "Inuyasha," She grumbled s she started to climb, "I'm going to give you a hundred sits when I find you . . ." Sit him, and his pretty hair, and perfect nails.

While she was contemplating how much force it would take to sit him into a mile deep crater, a white hand reached down into the well to help her out. She took it without a second thought, and couldn't help but smile. "It's about time that you came! I had almost thought that you had forgot about me."

The strong hand tightened around hers, and effortlessly lifted her over the lip of the well. Then promptly dumped her onto the ground. "Hey!" She shouted indignantly. "That hurt Inuyasha! If you were here to help me in the first place-" Her ranting broke off, and her heart sped up triple time when she took in the face of her helper. Oh Kami . . .

"Wench. You will cease your pointless racket."

Her face paled and she took a hessitant step backward. This really wasn't good. "L-Lord S-S-Sesshoumaru."

He showed no sign of hearing her greeting, and she watched as the ivory Taiyoukai looked down into the dry well. "So the rumors are true." He said softly. Curiosity gleamed in his eyes.

Rumors? What rumors?

She got up from the ground slowly, trying not to do anything that would be interpreted as threatening. The Lord was still studding the well, and made no move towards her. That had to be good. Right? Now if she could just get away and warn Inuyasha . . .

Taking a deep breath, and gathering her courage, she ran.

In hindsight this was rather foolish, for really, you should never run from a predator. That just kicked in predator-ish instincts, and when said predator could run so fast the he was merely a passing blur . . .

Lets just say that it wasn't a good idea.

In less than a second she was pinned to the ground with a irked Taiyoukai above her. His grip on her was firm, and she glanced nervously at the claws that held her arms to her sides. He could kill her so easily, and he wouldn't be fazed at all. Next she glanced up at his face. He didn't look angry, then again Sesshoumaru never really looked anything, so that didn't necessarily mean anything. He did look annoyed though, and his next words proved it, "Miko, you know better than to run."

She glared at him. Why did he have to sound so condescending. It was as if he was talking to a child! "What did you expect me to do? Say, 'Hi Lord Sesshoumaru, wonderful weather we're having, by the way, I forgive you for trying to kill me!"

She glared at him, noticiong how his ears quivered at heer yelling. Now he didn't look pleased at all. "Miko, your sarcasm shall cease. This Sesshoumaru merely wishes to ask a few questions. I do not desire your blood as of now."

She snorted, and squirmed underneath him, trying to get away. He didn't even budge. She simmered. He didn't even look like he was putting up any effort to hold her down. Was she really that weak? "Fine, I'll answer your questions, but you don't have to pin me top the ground!"

"Pinning you was not part of my plan. It was you who decided to run."

"Sorry for fearing for my life."

"Apology accepted. Now, you are from the future?"

She glared at him, but he didn't seem to care. He just leveled that same golden glare at her. She sighed and cursed all Inuyoukai in her head. "How did you know?"

"Your speech, your manner, your scanty clothes. They all point to the conclusion that you are not from around here. The well confirmed the fact that you are from another era." He said.

"Okay, but what does that mean to you?"

"Are you the only one who can go through the well?" He asked, completely ignoring her question.

She saw where he was going, and didn't hesitate in lying, "Yes."

"You're lying. Your heart skipped a beat, and your scent spiked."

Curse pathetic Inuyoukai and their superior senses. Her day just went from bad to worse. "Inuyasha and I are the only ones who pass through. I'm not sure if anyone else can. I only think that we can because of the shards of the Shikon no Tama."

The Taiyoukai looked thoughtful, and finally rolled off of her. She wasted no time in scrambling to her feet, and backing away form the Lord. "Miko." He finally spoke at last. "This Sesshoumaru demands to see your time. This place that Inuyasha calls Tokyo."

Oh Kami, that was what she had been afraid of. Crap! A thousand times no. Now, how to tell him that and still keep her head? She looked up at his cold gaze, and gulped. Oh, how she wished that Inuyasha was here. "Um, Sesshoumaru-sama, I don't think that's possible."

"Why not?" She cringed at the hard edge that entered his voice. Oh, she really didn't want to die! "Well, things are just different in my time." She cringed again. What she really didn't want to say was that she didn't want him to start massacring all of the humans that controlled the future. As far as she knew, youkai didn't even exist in her time.

"How drastically could things have changed?"

Oh, you'd be surprised.

Doing her best to seem tough, she glared at the Taiyoukai who just refused to see sense. "Things have changed a lot, so I am sorry Sesshoumaru, but I refuse to let you pass through."

"What do you attend to do to stop me human?"

She glared, why did he say human as if it were an insult? At peace with her fate she raised her fists to the Lord, wishing that she had some form of weapon. Yet she wouldn't go down without a fight, even if that fight would be pitifully short, and still result in the destruction of humanity.

Sesshoumaru stared at her in open shock, and she tried to ignore the smile that crossed his face, He never smiled, and when he did, it was usually best to start fleeing. Fast.

Yet she held her ground, and the Taiyoukai's amusement faded. Enough was enough. Moving with supernatural speed he dashed forward, grabbed her around the waste, and jumped through the well.

In keeping with the whole bad day theme, the well decided to let them pass.

Swallowed by the blue glow of an ancient magic, Miko and Taiyoukai disappeared form the Feudal realm.

So that's the first chapter, I'd really love reviews. The more reviews I get the faster I tend to type. I seem to have low opinion on my writings.
