(I Hate) Everything About You by eternal_indifference

What does she want to do?!

Frustrated was a million times less of how she felt at the moment. Her anger was as white hot as the sun and THEN some. She couldn't think of a time when she had wanted to kill, scream, and cry all at the same time.

She felt like going to his house, grabbing that dumb sword of his off his stupid wall, then gutting him with it slowly and painfully. While she was on her way she'd probably tear apart any and every thing that came in her way.... yeah. That sounded reeeaaallly nice right about now.

Sighing she opened her front door, putting on a cheerful facade as she did so. "Mama, I'm home!" Swinging her pack to the floor she slipped out of her shoes and padded softly towards the stairs, hoping for a quick greeting. It wouldn't do for her mother to worry over something she couldn't change, now would it? Putting on a small smile she walked faster towards the stairs and past her mother. 'Almost there. Almost there. Almost there. Almost th-' "Kagome!" 'Ack!'

Forcing herself to keep the smile on her face while she turned to her mother she tilted her head to the side as if patiently waiting for her to speak. Inside her mind she was screaming at her to hurry it up so she could go to her room. Her mother tilted her head, much like her daughter was doing, and studied her closely. Finding nothing out of place she returned her daughter's smile.

"How was school?" Turning back to her laundry she waited patiently for her to return her question with an answer. Kagome shifted her weight from left foot to right foot, then from right to left. She repeated this action three times before mentally smacking herself. 'Get a hold of yourself girl! Answer the question so you can go to your room already!' she mentally chastised herself. Straightening her shoulders a little she made herself take a few deep breaths before responding. "Umm... It was o.k. I guess. Shinendae sensei said I was too far behind in algebra soo...I have to study more."

Her mother nodded once, glanced at her, then went back to her laundry. "Anything else happen that you feel you should tell me?" Kagome gulped, her eyes darting from side-to-side looking for an escape route.'Man she's good.' Kagome snorted quietly, agreeing with herself. Her eyes stopped their search finding the stairs to be as good as she would get. She put her hand on the banister preparing for a hastey retreat. "Um.. no mama.... I'm gonna go study now, bye!"

In a flash Kagome was upstairs and in her room, hiding safely behind a locked door and a pair of head phones. Ms. Higurashi shook her head at her daughters antics as she walked to the kitchen, now finished with the laundry. She would never understand her, so secretive she was! Her thoughts wandered off to simpler times when Kagome was just discovering how to climb a tree. Her father had been cheering her on at the base of the god tree while herself and a new-from-the-hospital Souta watched carefully from the sidelines.

Kagome hummed along to the song blaring in her ears as visions of a silver-haired, gold-eyed, incredibly rude demon flashed through her minds eye. Smirking to herself she found the song to be a perfect match of how she felt and decided to replay it. Starting the song over in her cd player she stood up and grabbed her guitar, hooking it up to the amp. Closing her eyes she began to play and sing along with the song.

~lyrics~

Every time we lie awake

After every hit we take

Every feeling that I get

But I haven't missed you yet

Every roommate kept awake

By every sigh and scream we make

All the feelings that I get

But I still don't miss you yet

Only when I stop to think about it

I hate everything about you

Why do I love you

I hate everything about you

Why do I love you

Every time we lie awake

After every hit we take

Every feeling that I get

But I haven't missed you yet

Only when I stop to think about it

I hate everything about you

Why do I love you

I hate everything about you

Why do I love you

Only when I stop to think

About you, I know

Only when you stop to think

About me, do you know

I hate everything about you

Why do I love you

You hate everything about me

Why do you love me

I hate

You hate

I hate

You love me

I hate everything about you

Why do I love you

Letting the guitar fade off the last chord she opened her eyes. Maybe it wasn't the best song.. not for them anyways.. She didn't love him.. That much was certain. It's just wasn't possible. He had no emotions.. and apparently a very big problem with her existence. Although she did absolutely *nothing* to the guy he seemed to harbour a grudge for her. I mean... what did she ever do to earn Sir Glaciers ultimate snow storm?! Nothing, thats what!......Man.. she really needed to relax. And maybe call up her anger management counselor again. 'He-he, won't he be glad to see me.'

Ever since her visit the docter had been uneasy around her. He claimed she was 'off-balance' so she had slugged him in the jaw. But hey, what gave him the right to tell her she was wacked? Huh?! Did she sign up for an evaluation, noooo. She signed up for someone to talk to and teach her how to deal with her anger. He got what he had comin' to 'em. Kagome snorter and crossed her arms below her chest.' Stupid counselor.'

As Kagome pondered the situation with her coulselor further she walked into her adjoining bathroom and turned on the shower. Methodically taking off her clothes she tossed them down the chute located to the right of her. Stepping inside the steaming shower she closed the frosted glass door behind her. It's not like it had to be frosted. Her water was so hot it frosted itself as soon as she started the water...usually.

She rolled her shoulders and gradually turned the knob 'til it was as hot as it could go. Kagome closed her eyes and sighed. She needed to do yoga.. maybe that would take away the tension.. and maybe the anger, too. She giggled at the thought. Her? Yoga? Yeah, that'd be the day. Peering through half lidded eyes she watched the soap suds from her shampoo go down the drain. "Maybe it's not such a bad idea...." Kagome thought about it for awhile. Yoga was good exercise.. not that she needed it. It was a good outlet for her stress. Or she could take up boxing... She smirked at the idea. 'Maybe tomorrow.. I'll look up on yoga and kick boxing..'

Finishing her shower she reached out and grabbed a warm fluffy towel from the box next to the laundry chute. Her mom was too good to her. She knew that if she got out of a hot shower she'd be freezing.. So, they improvised. She sent her laundry down the chute, her mother put some towels in the dryer, and it got sent up the next chute. They were always nice and warm. Sighing in contentment she tip-toed into her bedroom to her walk-in closet. Gazing through the pajamas she choose a black silk pant set, with a long sleeved shirt, and a black under shirt. Grabbing a black bra, then panties she changed quickly then rapped the towel around her hair. Drying it she pulled out a hair tie and pulled it into a high ponytail. She finished off her out fit with a pair of black slippers. Everything was silk, of course. ' Tomorrow, cotton.' She giggled then headed down to the kitchen to set the table.

AN: Ok, I re-did this chapter 'cuz I didn't think it was long enough... sooo... yeah. Here it is. Not too much longer, but better than the last one, ne? Any advice is always welcome, but please, no flames. The song is by Three Days Grace called, of course, (I Hate) Everything About You. Really good song. Well, thats all I'm gonna say today. As always, eternal_indifference.
