It had been rainy and miserable for the last past two weeks and no matter what she did, Kagome could not get focused on anything. Her mind traveled to the thoughts of everything but her current condition. Sitting propped up against the wall, she continued to stare out of the window that gave her the depressing view of the stormy weather currently raging outside. Her room was on the fifth floor. It was the last floor of the building and only had four other rooms on it excluding hers. All of them were decorated the same. White plush carpet, bleach colored walls, and a window that was about four feet off the ground and about five feet wide. It only opened a certain way, just to ensure no one tried anything stupid. In fact, all the rooms were built for a very 'safe' environment.

It didn't matter what you did to end up in these top floor rooms, its more the fact that they keep you trapped up there with no way out. Well you were let out for an one-hour break once a day to go outside. Many times she had tried to run away but someone always caught her and proceeded in dragging her back. The only reason she didn't actually run away was because she didn't want to leave a certain male there all by himself. It was safe to say Kagome Ki had developed feeling for a certain Sesshoumaru Tashio. The feelings were mutual.

Remembering that exact day was quite similar to today. Both had the stormy, depressing weather that seemed to never want to leave. It was about 3 years ago, she was 16 turning 17 in 2 days. When she got a call from InuYasha saying they needed to get together. They met at the local café that they always were at. When Kagome arrived, he was sitting at a table staring out at the falling rain. She didn't quite remember what words were exchanged only that they were breaking up because he was tired of hiding the fact that he loved her twin sister. Devastated, Kagome ran from the building right into on-coming traffic and got hit by a car that sent her flying into a 1-month coma.

Waking up the month later, she was told her sister had died in a car accident a week ago. Apparently InuYasha had been drinking before he took himself and Kikyo home. Kagome was always close with her sister; they never fought and loved each other dearly despite what ever was going on at the time.

After the news sank in, Kagome went into a 4-month depression phase. In that time her grandfather, mother, father and little brother all died. A fire broke out at night and trapped the family in the burning building. Only Souta, her little brother, had survived but later died in the hospital due to smoke inhalation and 3rd degree burns.

A sneeze brought her out of her thoughts. Without even thinking, "Bless you." Came out of her mouth. It was a habit that she had when she was a teen. The person that had sneezed had been a nurse passing by her room. The nurse thanked her and ran off. Kagome resumed her thoughts.

After finding out her family was dead, anger over took her depression. She was in anger management classes for 2 ½ hours everyday. They did nothing but annoy her. She never spoke and just glared her icy glare when the counselors addressed her.

They always seem to try and get her to speak. After being in the class for a month, Kagome snapped. They asked her how she felt for what seemed the trillionth time. Screaming and yelling. Punching and kicking. Throwing and smashing. That was her response. They immediately subdued her and removed her from the class. That's how she ended in the room she was in. The doctors and nurses would come and talk to her everyday saying "The sooner you co-operate, the sooner you'll be released sweetheart." But she never did. They tried to change her when she didn't want to. They tried to get her to show emotions, but she never wanted to.

The pounding of feet and voices broke her train of thought once again. She picked up on certain bits of the conversation, for the group was still a little bit away from her room and her room was suppose to be soundproof from both sides, but she could still hear them. The one thing they knew about but couldn't figure out was whether or not she was a demon. Of course she was but she would never let them know that.

"She spoke to me."

"Really?" responded a surprised voice.

"What did she say?"

"She said 'bless you' when I sneezed."

'Oh god...' Kagome thought to herself. That was another thing, she hadn't spoken a word since her little explosion in the classes 2 years ago.

The group of doctors and nurses slowly filed into the small room, unaware that she already knew why they had come to pay her a visit. They still didn't know about her, 'special' abilities.

"Good afternoon Kagome" one doctor said. Her response was turning her focus from them, back to the window and weather outside.

"From what I have heard from nurse Mac, you have begun to use you voice again. Is this correct?"

Turning her icy glare back to the doctors she opened her mouth and what came out froze them to the spot and sent shivers down their spines.

The voice was cold, hard and emotionless, and very abrupt. Nothing of how it use to be.

"Yes I did. Now leave."

Turning and running out of the room, the doctors were shocked beyond belief. They never would have thought the once angelic girl with a voice that made angels jealous, could possibly turn into a emotionless demon child who struck fear into you the moment she spoke or even looked your way.
