A Life Lived in Dreams

It's not every day you get an expectance letter to the college of your dreams. Ringling School of the Arts. That's where I'm going, to become a graphic artist. My dream.

I've lived in Florida for almost eight years now. I'm in my last year of high school, just a few months left! I'm excited. I've been waiting to leave this small town since I moved here with my mother and little brother.

It's kinda scary, now that I think about it. I'll be on my own, no mom to wake me up in the morning to make sure I get to school on time. No more little brother begging me to take him and his friends to the mall. But I'm excited, who wouldn't be, to realize their dream. I fell like that is what is happening to me. I'm hoping it will make the ordeal of leaving my only family behind easier.
