Pinks,golds,and purples crowned the horizon as the sun slipped over the edge of the world.A young girl no older than 16 sat on a grassy knoll observing this spectacle of wondorous porportion,totally unwaware of what the future might bring.A small sigh escaped her lips as she made herself comfortable in the soft downy grass under a paticualary old tree.This tree holds special meaning to people who know it's true existance.A tree known as,the Goshinboku.

The tree had been watching over the land for over 500 years,and knew the many secrets of those who rested underneath it's branches.Now in particular,the Goshinboku knew quite a lot about the girl who often lounged underneath it's considerable shade.The girl's name was Kagome.She held the key to the past,present,and future existance of the world,and had no idea of the heavy burden that rested on her shoulders.Yet,she always seemed to have a certain look of longing in her eyes whenever she came to the tree to whisper her secrets to her silent friend.

Her secrets were trivial things perhaps,mostly consisting of innocent crushes,fears,and dreams of what was to come.The Goshinboku always listened silently,as a tree is likely to do.Kagome came more recently as of late,seemingly sensing a foreboading aura emanating from nearby.Goshinboku always made her feel safe,like it was the only thing keeping her sane in the world.What she didn't know however,was that Goshinboku was Really listening,and plotting a most mysterious plot.

Yes,sometime soon,the plan would be put into reality.
