Chapter 1 "A devlish plan"

Hey there, everyone! I have come up with this story because of.... certain circumstances. I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

The first chapter is about how everything began.

The bell rang and I woke up from my light slumber. I cursed mentally because my history teacher gave us homework, that seemed pretty sensless to me. But well, as long as he had his fun...

Kikyou who is one of my very close friends asked me about what our history teacher, Mr Koyama, had said that might be very important. I sighed. She never listend in class. Well, I admitt, I'm not much better but even in a state of light slumber I pick up every thing a teachers says, even without intending to. It's really a good thing and it runs in my family. Shouldn't forget to thank them for that!!

I picked up my things and thought that a visit to the Ladies restroom would be paradise just when one of my two best friends, Rin, called me over to her.

"Kagome, can you walk with Sesshoumaru and me a bit? We have to talk."

Oh, now that she mentioned my name I remember that I completly forgot to introduce myself. Hi, my name is Kagome Higurashi , I'm a seventeen-year-old eleven grader and back then I was dying, because I really needed to go to the restroom.

...Nice to meet you all!

I asked Rin why before I looked over to Sesshoumaru. I was wondering what there was that he and Rin had to discuss with me. Oh, Rin always has a lot to discuss or to tell, she's my best friend, just like Sango. And Sesshoumaru is her best male friend. But even though Rin and Sesshoumaru are such good friends, Sesshoumaru and I never really had a lot to do together. Granted, I came to realise that we had a lot in common, but still... Okay, I admitt that he is good looking, and yes there was a time when I had a crush on him.

But that was all it was. A crush. Not even a real one. I guess I was desperate because I didn't have a boyfriend or something that I had some fantasies. Funny fantasies, really... The two of us dating... nah... Well, these toughts didn't last longer then two weeks, I think...

Whatever. For my best friend I resisted the need to go to the ladies restroom to see what rin and Sesshoumaru had to say.

I followed then down the stairs and outside to the cort yard. They didn't say anything just walked on in silence.

On our way to, what I soon found out was an empty place, we came upon Kouga who was in the same grade as the three of us. He could be nice sometimes but I did not really like him. There was this very annoying 'I-always-have-to-stick.to-you' attitude that made me really hate him sometimes.

Granted, he sticked to a lot of people, Sesshoumaru he considered his best friend even though Sesshoumaru clearly thought differently. He even called me 'his woman' sometimes! And let's not forget he followed me almost EVERYWHERE.

..He even wanted to acompany me to the Ladies restromm.... creeeeeepy!!!!!

I was only too happy that we got rid of him for a short amount of time, as I'm sure you all understand now.

Sesshoumaru and Rin were grinning and I could have sworn that I saw a devlish sparkle in their eyes!

"We all know Kouga likes you a lot...", Rin began.

Oh yes, devlish indeed. You couldn't have missed it.

"Well", sesshoumaru added, "We all know you don't like him that much. Neither do we. And we thought..."

"That will trick him a little bit!!!", Rin finished for him.

I rose my eybrow in question. So they were up to something.

"What does it have to do with me?"

I'm always a bit sceptical when it comes to that, you know...

"Well..." Rin said and wavered a bit. It was clear that she though hard how to voice her plan.

"Sesshoumaru came up with the plan that, just to piss him off a bit... you two could act as if you're dating!!!"

Rin looked hopeful where I looked shocked. Well, it wasn't every day somebody ask you to be someone's girlfriend, just to piss him off...

My thoughts at that time where very near the lines of wh... how...whe....whaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

"Why me...?", I finally asked, after minutes of silence.

Rin only rolled her eyes and slapped me playfully, as if I was a little kid. I really felt like one back then...

"Don't play dumb, Kagome!", she said.

"Isn't it obvious?", Sesshoumaru aked.

"He likes you a lot and he considers me his best friend. If the two of us got together he'll be really pissed."

That sounded only too logical me.

"But people will notice that we're only acting because we didn't spend that much time around eachother..."

"I already thought of that", Sesshoumaru interrupted me.

"We'll take things slow so people will believe it."

I looked over to Rin and then back to Sesshoumaru. I wanted to ask them so many questions. I wanted to know how they came up with that idea, why they thought to involve me, why they wanted to do this to Kouga but the only thing that crossed my lips was 'Deal'

Rin and Sesshoumaru grinned widely and Sesshoumaru and I shook hands just to make it seem more official.

You ask why I gave in so easily without even asking the things that were so important to me?

The answer is that I don't know myself.

I just... agreed.

There was this nagging feeling in my gut, the one you have when you feel that something's wrong or when you feel that a disaster is comimg.

But this feeling was quickly forgotten when we started to make plans for the next week. I really enjoyed planning this all. I admitt, I'm a devil at times, but people just don't notice. I just don't look like it. And that has many advantages, believe me!!!

The plan was to get a bit together in the first week while Rin spread some rumors about us. Then we would make it official and be a couple for a day, where we would rub it into Kougas face and then tell him that we were just kidding.

Soon we made this whole plot more devlish when we made the plan to have Kouga and Rin comming over to finish our Geography project and have an already waiting Sesshoumaru siting with me on my couch. Kouga would start cursing and Rin would act completly shocked.

That sounded like a lot of fun, somehow.

And Kougas face was the only thing I could think of on my way home. I was grinnig like mad.

Who would have thought that we would be such a good trio? Okay... I already thought of it more than once before, but... whatever.

When I came home I realised, that I had already forgotten my need to visit some important place because of all this excitement. I thought it was better to go and never stop my devlish thoughts.
