'THOUGHT'

"SPEECH"

Ahhhhh.....the warm breez of a new morning filled the nostrils of the only one to be up this early and not mind.Inuyasha lazily lounged on the top branch ona tree near the camp.His golden gaze set on the raven haird girl that rested her head on that lucky pillow.She soon rooled over flailling her arms in a sleepy stretch, mumbled somthing and then promptly went back to sleep.He smirked and her undeniable charm.despite what he said in the many heated battles they had with each other, the things he said and the things he felt were ientirely different. Sure he swore at her, called her names,teased her, compaird her to others, and told her she was annyoing but that never ment that he did not love her! Ok so there were moments when that was not the case but hey, what can a person do?To show that he cared for her would surly destroy him.So many diffrent out-comes!! I mean what if she rejected him or change her mind, or give up on him......or worse,run off with another man!That thought alone caused his demon blood to pulse with anger.

But oh how he loved her so much.He would give anything just to be with er forever.And he proved it to.

~flashback~

Just about a year ago,or so,they had been traveling by night and decided to stop and make camp.Once thay had followed the nightly routin of fight,eat,fight,wash up,fight,make peace and go to bed he had spotted a soulstealer.The disgsting silver eel had beakond him forth and to it's master,Kikyo.So he had come to her and found her under a old oak awaiting him.

Her deathly pale skin shown in the eerie light of a half moon.Her cold undead eyes devoid of any and all emotion towards him or anything else.Kikyo's words cut through the air like a knife through hot butter."Iuyasha......"she whisperd to the night a rose.Her locks spilling behind her.She was clad in her regular attire of red and white clothes.She stood before him not 6 feet away.

"I come to you now because the window of opportunity is disappearirng.The gates of hell are closing on me Inuyasha and my time here is limited.Soon i will be draged back down into the adyss,and i will be lost forever.I beg of you,for the final time,come with me to hell.Be with me for all eternity."She had all but droped on her knees and beged,if her pride would have allowed it.

He stared at her,deeply and lovingly.But there was something diffrent about that look.It was not the stare you would give to a lover,oh no it was a gaze of the sympathetic and pained order.Filled with grief and angst.As if he was abou to say the hardest thing in his life.Kikyo knew the answer before it evan came.In a tortured voice that rivaled the look in his eyes he croaked out the single word tht had the power to shatter her very being."No." Was his only answer.and he cast his eyes down to hide the moister.He could not go with her,not now not ever.

He had so much to live for.Friends,loved ones,adventure,excitment,challenges and love to say the least.He loved living t much to just freely give it away.He had to stay,for Kagome.He gazed back up at her and saw er face twisted into that of loathing.So he sought to escape her?Leave her fot the wolves?But most of all leave her for that no good whore of a reincarnation!?!?!Well he could think again!If she could not peacefuly drag him downwith her,she'd take him kicking and screaming!!

"If thats the way you wish for it to be,Inuyasha, then so be it."She raised her handad all her soulstealers with in the area rushed in a tidle wave of silver and tangled themselves around him."Kikyo please i dont want to hurt you!"

'if only she under stood.' He thought desperately.But she did understand,oh so very well i might add.He had gone and fallen in love with Kagome!!Oh wel,if she cant have him then no one can.She started up her energy and focused it on a portal.Her plan could not fail.She would no longer wait for him to see the right choice,wich was her.It was time.

Inuyasha strrugled for all he was worth and then some.but it was no good.He was going to be draged down to hell whether he liked it or not.they were sinking deeper now in to the crater and he coulld do nothingabout it.he sould not even say goodbye to his friends.but thats not waht pushed hm over to the edge,it was he thought that came after Kikyo made her promise that kept him alive."When you and I are safely in hell I will then send out my allies to that pathetic group of yours and have them killed one by one.But I'll start with that precious little girl of your's....Kagome."

That sentence alone gave him strength. To free himself, to save and protect his friends,to save his true love and to set free the one he once loved form her own living hell in this world.He closed his eyes as he felt them bleed and his apendages pulse to life.with a fearful roar he tore away from his bindings and effectivly broke Kikyo's concentration.She gasped and toke a step back.He panted for air.The light created by the portal gone as he stood in full hight." I.WILL.NOT.LET.YOU.TAKE.WHAT.IS.MINE!!!!!!" Was his only warning as he lunged at her,doing what he should have done from the start,freeing his past lover from her own,personal hell.his claws sunk deep into her cold flesh and he withdrew leaving a hole in her abdomen.She turned her tilted head up to her and with a choke sob she sputterd the one thing he did not excpect to hear "Thank you." Was her last ords as she fded in to dust.

~end flashback~

But what was in the past should remain there. the memorie brought about a wetness to his eyes witch he wiped away.H once again turned to his comrades and smiled as he watched them stur from there sleep.
