Why

This is my first drabble ever, so please bear with me as I get the hang of this. And please read and review! Also, there is a hidden quote!

She was pulled into a well and into the past at the age of fifteen.

Why?

She fell in love with a half-demon, only to have him see her as a replacement for another.

Why?

She suffered heartbreak, pain, and evil.

Why?

Why indeed she wondered. Such a simple word, yet so complicated at the same time. A word that one learns by the age of four should be easy to understand–to comprehend–yet, this three letter word seems to complicate everything it attached itself to.

Why?

Questions that she tried to answer by looking to theories, paradigms and long equations. But still nothing came to her. Yet, one day she received her answer, not through long complicated methods, but through the simple words of a golden-eyed god.

"Just to love, and be loved in return."

Upon hearing this, she smiled, and realized that she found her answer.

She had found love, and love had found her.
