Missions of Apparitions

Metamorphosis

Chapter 1; Mission of Apparitions

Kagome looked around the room at the determined faces and sighed. What can she do to stop them? They are a band of unforgettable warriors, and even she knew that they defeated the enemy not only by power, but by the evil dark and usually, no, always, unbreakable stubbornness.

The stubbornness she gave them.

Kagome groaned, they were unconsciously her children to say the truth. Most of them were half-demons, forced genetically to be produced by the machine that sits in the LAB. They were mostly made from broken DNA pieces of Kagome and Inuyasha, with some from Sango and Mirouko. Kurama and Kagome some times, though she was afraid that a "child" of Kurama would bring her unwanted memories of Shippou.

One thing they had in common though was the absurd and very strong sense of stubbornness that won't go away.

I should have taken Eri's DNA before she died, she was so more easy to convince then anyone else. But noooo... Kagome just had to be all stupid and ignore Eri.

Truth was, a perfect DNA produced child will have to be made in over four hundred years, and it was hard. With only one machine to make over only twenty children at a time, every child must have the most prefect broken DNA from the most amazing "Parents". That meant the parents must have a strong body build, the brains, knows all about strategy and tricks and all the important things. Plus, each batch of children normally at least five are considered 'Disconnected'.

Or, the two pieces of broken DNA was not connected properly or something happened to the DNA and the machine cannot read it in a way that it can make a prefect child.

And yet, in a way, the prefect children also have most of the traits they're "Mother" of "Father" had. And the band of five, Shippou, Kagome, Inuyasha, Sango and Mirouko are all a stubborn, strong, and hard bunch.

Which meant Eri had no chance. She was alive and healthy, yes. But something was wrong with her. She was usually clumsy, and had a big mouth. Therefore, her DNA did not fit any expectations, though she was well in math, if the demon's found out about the "M.E.T.A.M.O.R.P.H.O.S.I.S." and decided an invasion was in order, Eri's children would have no use.

It was a fact, no an insult, not something disgusting, but rather... A fact. A fact that everyone who had been chosen as a DNA breeder must be genetically, and humanly prefect.

Eri just wasn't...

But back to the point, how was Kagome going to convince the band of M.E.T.A.M.O.R.P.H.O.S.I.S that going to planet Earth and looking for the preserved Iceland's for a more bigger selection of DNA for the machines was not save.

"I agree with Rin Kagome." A smooth voice whispered out in a low and seductive voice. Kagome turned to Kurama in shock, he was calm about this, and is allowing the children to go out on Earth which was the main head courters for DA, or Lord Sesshoumaru's private army, each almost as powerful as Lord Sesshoumaru himself.

How can he agree? The children would think of it as playing living in the mostly save environment of the M.E.T.A.M.O.R.P.H.O.S.I.S live ship. They would think of it as... As... A game!

"This is ridiculous! What other then-" Kagome shouted heatly before the ghostly voice of Pei Ling interrupted.

"This is not only for the DNA. The crew will only go there and collect some other things, like the herbs we so desperately need since the last time the deceased Kitaro forgot and destroyed the herb atoms with the heat radar. We need more plant life to keep the oxygen in here clean, and more oxygen and air particles for copying will be needed."

"Plus," A little girl with a pony tail said grinning, "this will be the chance for the children-"

"WE ARE NOT CHILDREN!" Dankia (A mixture of Inuyasha and Sango) screamed out. Rin paid no heed.

"This can be a chance for the children to enhance their spying skills, also, the apparitions, Pei Ling, Sambathy, and I will go and steal the original first generation DNAs, this plan is almost full proof." Rin said. The rest of the room nodded, and Kagome's eyes twitched as she saw Lorcha's up and down hair movement. Lorcha's hair was... A bright shade of pink, glowing latterly pink... And the people around her seemed to be cringing too.

"But it's almost fool proof! Rin! What if Sesshoumaru found out about the way to kill a apparition? What if he found out and every demon he ever hired in that vile place place of his has a time vial? All they have to do is through the liquefies time at you and you'd be, Rin! Please! He might have learned about it, and, and..." Her voice broke out as the occupants of the room looked at each other. Kurama sat beside Kagome and sighed. She was scared for the girls and boys she had produced, even if without the sexual intercourse. She had waited patiently for four hundred years and had checked on health and other problems everyday. Two generations of made children, she put her heart in the children, and he knew she was acting out on a forty year old woman when it was obvious she had the shoulders only for a fifteen year old child.

"Sesshoumaru doesn't care about the apparitions, even if it was me." Rin spat out bitterly. Charlotte (A young America breed second generation girl with dark blue eyes and red hair, courtesy of Kagome and Kurama) looked down at her lap in sympathy. Only she knew about Rin's past, and she bit her lip from crying out.

"How do you know that?" Kagome bit back. She had found Rin's distraught spirit in an abandoned life boat two hundred years ago, and had become fond of her. However, fond as she was, it took Rin fifty years to even utter a sound to her, another fifty years to talk to her and show some expression. It took another fifty years to show more expression and now it's probably going to be another hundred or so years for her to tell her well guarded past.

"This Rin does not know, this Rin is positive." Rin said in a hard cold voice. Sesshoumaru-sama, what a laugh. Had he really ever cared for her? No, she had survived in the life boat for over ten years, yet she perished like soil when the life boat ran out of food and fresh water and air. He never went and looked for her, if he did, how would she have been found accidental fifty years after her death by a human that can only go to few places.

"What she means," Sambathy, who had been floating around the back of the room listening patiently, "is the recent incident that concerns Josha Karch, a human apparition caught in Sesshoumaru's bedroom itself. Of course, Sesshoumaru, or, "The Lord" in the demon's eyes, did not only let him free, but did not even torture him."

"But he might have only have thought Josha was no threat! Sesshoumaru will defiantly classify you guys as threat if you are caught in the human DNA room!" Kagome screamed out, tears pouring down now. Kurama wanted nothing more then to comfort her, yet he was torn also, Kagome needed to stop thinking the second generation M.E.T.A.M.O.R.P.H.O.S.I.S was children. The occupants in the room had somewhat the same thoughts, though their guilty expressions were looking down...

Pei Ling's voice made the second generation M.E.T.A.M.O.R.P.H.O.S.I.S and the two first generation M.E.T.A.M.O.R.P.H.O.S.I.S shudder. Her cold glare made Kagome wonder if Pei Ling had ever been happy.

"Higurashi-sama, we are not children." Somehow, those words coming from Kurama, Charlotte, Sambathy, Rin, Lorcha, or any of the crew members seemed like a voice of self denial. When it came you the cold young Chinese girl though, everything she said always held truth. Kagome slumped back in her chair in defeat.

"What if all is a secret? What if they knew about time lasers and blasted you? And what if a patrolling demon found you? What will you do then?" Kagome asked weakly. Rin scoffed, Lorcha winced, Rin Yaika never scoffed.

"Time lasers? You Kagome, only discovered that when you accidently noticed how time can be caught and forced one way if the force is perfectly enhanced. You only noticed it can hurt us when a apparition of a small hamster was 'killed' by the time. And you only noticed that a few days ago."

"But, they have more scientists..." Kagome protested without her normal fire, now only tired from the fight...

"You just admitted that they have better technology then us, anyways, they may have more scientists, but so far, anything you ever invented was not found out by the demons." Sambathy said. Kagome sighed again, the room was in utter silence.

"Fine... You may." The smile on everyones faces were over whelming. Kagome found herself smiling for even Pei Ling looked slightly relieved. Kurama was standing behind her chair and she did not know what he was feeling, but she could feel the happiness radiating from him.

"But, we have to recite the moral first." Understanding nods filled the room as the united voice of the group came out.

We are not afraid to Mangle, if the act destroys the enemy.

We are only Euthansia when the enemy recoils.

We are not the symbol of Treachery, though we are not afraid to be.

We hold deep animus for those that opposes us.

We are not murderess, meerly bathed in a need for revenge.

We will obliterate those that broke us, make them see no path.

We are not scared to ravage, if it honors our ancestors.

We will penetrate the enemy's defenses, no matter what they say.

We are the heir to Earth, fear by us is not known.

We are obsessed with revenge, obsession feeds power.

We are not sadistic, no more then the enemy.

We immolate those that destroys the Earth, blood for the Gods.

We are the mighty sword, a mighty sword, in the sword.

Metamorphosis; We are that, and beyond..."

And as the people in the room walked (Or floated) out, she fell asleep on her chair.

Kurama looked longingly at the beauty in front of him and put a rich red rose on her lap. He had no doubt her eyes would light up when she woke up.

He walked, out the door, and into his room...

When could he ever tell her his feelings? Especially when she might not live, because, her next mission meant one small mistake was... Futile...
