Who is She?

Chapter 1- Who is She?

" Take that shirt off, my muse..it's a nude remember"

" Oh darling.....If I take my shirt off, I wont be able to lie so still for so long. You know you can do wonders with that brush of yours.."

" Stop woman, here let me drape this silk over you...don't move."

He gently draped the soft silk over her pale body. As he caressed her body with the silk. Every unwitting touch flamed inside her. She was slowly seduced by this beautiful man.

She could not help it, she was falling for him and here he was only interested in that nude of his.

" Stop playing with me, I know you want me, lets get rid of this silk, touch me...please."

He smirked at her reply.

" As you wish...remember to stay still after our interlude..I do have to paint.."

He chuckled and removed his shirt with one stroke and quickly straddled her pliant body .He suckled on her soft mouth and the next moment was taken to a newer level. It seemed that painting was long forgotten in their throes of passion.

Another day at another place.

'Oh my god I'm going to have too little time.....'

That thought made her sprint towards a pair of glass doors that adorned the art district sidewalk.

The gallery was beautiful. It was everything she expected the gallery for modern art to be.

She gracefully strolled into the gallery with a hot flush on her face after the speedy walk she had taken to reach here.

The cool air of the gallery relieved her discomfort and she untangled her woollen stole that was wrapped around her slender neck.

Dressed in dark low slung denims , a vintage tank and a tweed jacket, her lithe and full body swerved around the many paintings that were displayed here.

The colours and the size of the paintings made her fall in love more with the painter's skill. She truly admired this artist. She had been waiting for too long for this collection to be showcased.

The artist was a genius in bringing old style Japanese water colour art and modern day themes together to form a contemporary expression, that was appreciated by critics old and new. The fresh style enamoured her the most.

She could not afford the paintings but being just a spectator fulfilled her the most.

Every season, this artist would showcase his collection at this gallery and she always tried to make it to see it, but something always came up at work and she always missed the showcasing.

This time she was adamant. She had planned her day well and just about made it to the final day of the art showcasing.

A pair of golden eyes surveyed her entrance with keen fervour. It seemed she was thoroughly enjoying herself.

He had to speak to her. Maybe she was a buyer and he was not going to let go of a sale so easily.

He saw his assistant in the distance and he motioned for her to intercept this woman and find out details.

Rin was a good assistant. She was meticulous and very hardworking. She was like a little sister to him and he totally doted over her. She had an astute business mind and she helped him in many occasion in making decisions with certain buyers. She always did background checks and her information was invaluable while making multi million dollar deals with art museums and private buyers.

He loved his gallery and he always took pride in the artworks he showcased. This time of month every year he showcased his most prized artist- Tenseiga and today was the last day of the showcase.

Most of the paintings were sold but he still displayed them so that young art students could have a look at them.

But tonight this woman intrigued him, he really hoped to show her some paintings that were not on display if she was a buyer.

He always liked selling paintings to people who actually loved the artist. That way even the artist would be respected.

Rin walked up to the woman and interrupted her train of thought as she was examining the artwork

" Ahem, excuse me do you like Tenseiga's work a lot..?"

" Uh yeah, hes my favourite..I have researched a lot about his works for my classes and its finally an honor to see his works in the flesh.."

" So your a teacher..."

" Hmm..at Tokyo University..my students love his work too...actually I influenced them.."

She chuckled lightly at her own statement.

"Well my name is Rin and I work here...If you are interested in buying anything here you can always contact me, here this is my card"

" uh..thank you, my name is Kagome...Kagome Gupto..but I cant afford his paintings, I'm only a teacher...but thank you your very kind..."

" No problem, well it seems we both love art and appreciate good art...I hope we meet again..I'm sure Mr. Taisho would not mind you coming again to see Tenseiga's artworks again.."

" Uh..actually I wanted to ask, have you met Mr. Tenseiga....well he never gives interviews or there are no photographs of him on the net and I was wondering if he is as wonderful in real life as his paintings are..I'm sorry I 'm asking too much right."

" No no don't be silly. Well I have to disappoint you but only my boss Mr. Taisho is in touch with him. I have never met the man but I have heard him to be a very passionate man...Well it seems my boss would like to enlighten you himself, here he is ...Mr. Taisho this is Kagome, Kagome Gupto, she's an art teacher and a big fan of Tenseiga. She was just asking me about the artist but I leave that to you since you know better. So I will take my leave, I have some customers to attend to. So good night Ms. Gupto.."'

" Uh good night...hello Mr .Taisho."

She was blushing when he shook her hand. She could not believe how childish she was being by blushing. But she could not help it. This man was beyond handsome, he was ethereally beautiful, almost like a Greek angel.

He had the silkiest silver hair she had ever seen on a man. He had sharp aquiline features and his mouth was like cupids bow, pure perfection.

But it were his eyes that mesmerised her. They were like glowing topazes ignited by a burning star in the sky. Their intense gaze unnerved her, but what came out from his mouth made her want to fall to the floor. It sounded like a call to the soul, a deep baritone never had she heard before.

" It seems you are fascinated by this artist." He still looked at her without even blinking.

" Yes I'm a fan, but not a very rich fan. I wish I could buy some of his work, but even my house is too small to even shelter such masterpieces."

" Don't fret so much, its art its supposed to be appreciated by all, even by you Ms Gupto.. Come let me show you around.."

" Your too kind, but I must not let you waste your time, you probably must be busy."

"No I insist, besides Rin seems to be handling the buyers well.."

He was right , Rin was very good in what she did. It seems that she already sold a painting for another large amount of money. But that did not interest him at all. What interested him was this woman in front of him. Her fondness for art was unseen before. He had met many critics and art collectors alike but every one seemed to appreciate art for appreciations sake and to prove the wealth they had. But this Gupto woman had a sense of innocence in her affection for art. He found that refreshing.

So he had decided he would show her Tenseiga's prized works that was stored in the basement away from prying eyes.

"Mm Ms...Gu.."

" No no call me Kagome, please I insist."

" Well Kagome, since your are so keen would you like to follow me to the basement, I'm sure you will like what you will see.."

" What are you implying..certainly you would not.."

He chuckled at her insinuation she had made jokingly..

" I wish I could show you that but that would be unprofessional and I am a pricey man so it wont be that easy..No no I meant to show you my private collection of Tenseigas works..please do come."

" I'm sorry I teased, I would love to see those paintings. If only my students could see them too..."

" Well something can be arranged, I'm sure your students will see them one day .Oh and please don't tell anybody about these paintings, they will be unveiled only later in the year"

" Oh of course I promise, cross my artistic heart.."

He led her downstairs, all the while he held her soft hand .All she could think about was the way he gently held her small hand in his large one.

As he moved a whiff of his perfume permeated through the air. It seems every step she took was pure bliss...She could not wait to see those paintings.

"Kagome, call me Sesshoumaru I find Mr. Taisho makes me sound too old."

" Uh sure but ..your much older so can I call you Sesshoumaru –sama"

He chuckled at her youthful innocence.

" I guess that's the Japanese way, but you did not look completely Japanese.."

" Um I'm half Japanese, My mother is Japanese but my father is Indian.."

" Oh I see, well I'm a thoroughbred Japanese and have travelled to India once to refer to an artwork a collector had wanted to appraise. Fabulous country. So many contrasts."

" Well it seems we are here, please do take your time, and Feel free to ask any questions. I'll be around "

Kagome was so thrilled to see some rare paintings. As she scanned the basement, they were filled with Tenseiga's work but a small painting at the corner struck her eye.

As she went closer she saw it was of a woman and it was a nude. A delicate painting it was. The woman looked like she made of white lilies and her body was draped so articulately and she was blending with the silk she had loosely wrapped around her.

The expression on her face was of pure satisfaction, like she was experiencing a certain bodily pleasure.

It was purely erotic and it made Kagome tremble between her legs. She was touched from the inside. The woman was beautiful. Who was this woman?

.Who was she to the artist?

Sesshoumaru was watching her the entire time, he was secretly amused at the flush of her cheeks when she gazed at this painting.

She liked the painting as much as he did. That had never happened before with him. Who was this Kagome?

He needed to know more.
