Kagome sighed as she brought her knees to her body and wrapped her arms around them.' This is it ' she thought to herself as she let out another long sigh.
' I have to leave the group I can't stand being with them any longer...'

" Kagome ! Where is the Jewel Shard ! " Inuyasha called out to her as he dogged another attack from Naraku's demon.Kagome looked around franticly for the Jewel Shard.She could not find it for some reason, why didn't Naraku's demon not even have one Jewel Shard ? He had to give it power some how so where was it ?
" Kagome !" He called out again as he swiped at the demon with his sword only for the demon to block his attack." I..I don't know where it is..it looks as if the demon doesn't have one " Kagome explained more to herself than to Inuyasha and the others.
" That can't be Kagome, I sense the demon has one..but I don't have the power to see the shard " Miroku stated with a frown.Sango threw her weapon and watched as it hit it's target.A smirk came to her face but quickly dissapered when the demon threw it back at her.She barely dogged it but it hit the trees behind her causing the trees to fall with a loud ' thud.' " Damnit " she crussed under her breath.
" Inuyasha the Jewel Shard is in the demon's forhead " stated a calm woman's voice.Inuyasha turned to the voice knowing exactly who it was.There Kikyo stood her bow and arrows in hand looking at him with a expressionless face.
" What are you waiting for Inuyasha strike down the demon, it is in the forhead, get it ! " Kikyo demaned.Like a obedent puppy Inuyasha did what he was told and hit the demon right in the forhead and the demon crashed to the ground, dead.The Jewel Shard clearly in view now, Kikyo walked past him, picked it up and gave it to Inuyasha.
" Kikyo.. what are you doing here ?" Kagome growled from behind her." I am apparently saving you and the rest of your group from death."
Kagome felt Inuyasha grab her arm and lead her off into what was left of the forset." We'll be back in a few mintunes Kikyo.I have to have a chat with Kagome " he stated as he continued to drag Kagome into the forest.Kikyo said nothing not really caring.
When they were about a mile away he stopped and looked back at her." What the hell Kagome why couldn't you tell me where the Jewel Shard was ! We could have all been dead if it wasn't for Kikyo coming."
" I..I'm sorry.. I was looking for the Jewel but I couldn't find the shard, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to put everyone in dan-"
" Yeah well you did and you have Kikyo to thank for saving you and eveyone else's ass out there."
Her eyes narrowed " Keh she didn't want to save me or anyone else out there!" she said sounding like Inuyasha.
" You are so damn stubborn ya know that ! She saves your life and you don't even give her a fuck'n thank you, real nice Kagome."
She turned her head away staring of at nothing.The miko almost jumped when she herd his low growl and when he forcibly turned her face back towards him." You are of no use anymore Kagome..Kikyo can help us with the Jewel Shards.You can't even see the jewel anymore anyways.Kikyo would be much better to help us get all the shards.It would be much quicker with her.You can stay if you want... but you would only be slowing us down " Inuyasha explained with a frown.
Kagome let the gasp she was trying to hold back come out.He..didn't want her with him anymore instead he wanted a dead clay woman of bones and dirt ! She was still trying to hold back her shock of that when his voice came to her ears." Come on lets get back to Kikyo and the others.. wouldn't want them to worry now would we ?"
" I..I guess not " she whispered as they made their way back to there friends..

So now Kagome watched as everyone slept Sango with Miroku they had started to become closer and she was happy for them.Inuyasha held Kikyo as she slept and Shippo cuddled next to Kelala.It seemed everyone had someone...except for her.This one day had changed her life and Kikyo was now going to be traveling with the group. ' What a joke ' the miko thought to herself.
And for the next few weeks thats how it went.Kikyo traveled with the group helped with the shard hunts and got closer to HER friends.They didn't really seem to even notice her anymore.Sango and Miroku barely talked to her anymore and Shippo..he was getting closer to Kikyo by the day.Inuyasha..well he didn't even bother to say anything just gave Kikyo his attention, his love, his soul and ..his body.
' I am nothing to this group anymore..I would be better off leaving..but if I did.. would they even notice ?' Kagome asked herself sadly.She nodded and picked herself up and took her belongings and kissed Shippo ever-so gently on his head and left her friends that she thought as family and Inuyasha the man that she had grown to love.
The miko told herself not to look back she knew that if she did she wouldn't be able to leave.Kagome pressed on for about two miles before she allowed herself to take a rest.
She wiped off some of the sweat that was going down her face and sat down under a tree.The sun was now begining to rise and she decied that she was going to try to look for the Jewel Shards on her own, as hard as that might be but it was her job to do it.' Right I can do this I don't need anyone but myself ' she thought to herself but she knew that she was lying.

The Lord of the Western Lands walked through the forest.Jaken and Rin at his side,Jaken stuggling to keep up with his Lord."Milord.Where exactly are we go-"
Sesshomaru turned to him with a cold look that dared him to continue what he was saying." Your job is to follow me Jaken , I do not have any reason to answer the likes of you " he explained coldly.Sesshomaru suddenly stopped in his tracks " Do you smell something intresting milord ?" Rin asked from his side.
He gave her a quick nod " Jaken watch Rin I will be back shortly " he instructed the little toad demon." But Lord Sesshomaru-" Before he could finish his sentence he was gone.
Jaken turned back to the little girl that had flowers in her hands." Master Jaken..wanna put flowers in your hair ?" The toad shook his head and slowly began to walk away." MASTER JAKEN !" Rin yelled as she ran after him with flowers in hand.Jaken rushed around and started to run away from the girl." No! You evil human child get away from me !"

Kagome didn't know who long this battle with this demon dragon had be going on.Kagome had gotten a little to close to it when she saw that it was protecting a Jewel Shard clearly in view on the ground.She was running out of arrows and running out of strength to hold the demon off.
The miko grabbed her last arrow and aimed it at the dragon.She let go just as the demon was about 15 inchs away from her.
-Thwack!-
Right into it's eye.The dragon hissed in pain as the blood rushed down from its newly wounded eye." I...told..you..to..s-stay back!" she said trying to catch her breath.
She dropped her bow and fell to her knees still trying to catch her breath.Sesshomaru appeared a few steps away from her glaring down at her and then looking up at the still live dragon that was trying to get away.He unsheaved his sword, Tokijin, dashed at the dragon with his demon speed and slashed it with his powerful sword.
The dragon let out a loud screech as it fell to the ground,dead.He land gracefully on the ground a few feet from Kagome who had lifted her head to meet his gaze." Sesshomaru ?" ' What in the hell is he doing here ? ' she wondered.
" You.You are Inuyasha's woman..Kagome are you not ?"
She visibly stiffened at Inuyasha's name." No, I am nothing to Inuyasha now..but anyways thank you for saving me Sesshomaru."
He resheaved his sword and changed the subject." Why are you not with my half-brother, human ? Did he finally tell you to get lost ? Or did you come to use your brain and leave him ?" he asked cooly.
Kagome lifted herself from the ground and stood." I thank you for saving me.. but I don't think that is any of your buisness " She pointed out to him calmly.But in her mind she was anything but calm she did use her brain thank you very much! That dog had insulted her intelligence.
" He is my half-brother I think I deserve to know what happened to him and his wench " he said venomously.This human must have not known to who she speaks.He was the lord of the Western Lands and being told off by a human, he would ask one more time.And if she didn't answer..lets just say it will be very unpleasent for her.
" I am going to ask you one more time human..what are you doing here without my idiot half-breed brother?" He growled out.
Kagome narrowed her eyes at him just who did he think he was ! Demanding her to answer a question that she didn't want to! Why did he wanna know about her anyway?
She let out a sigh and answered his question with one of her own." Why do you want to know about me anyways I am just a human ?"
" Those are my reasons, not your buisness.. now this IS the last time answer my question." The miko put her finger to her chin and spoke " Ooooh I get it,it isn't my buisness to know about you, but when it is about me it is different, is that it ?" Kagome questioned putting her hand back to her side.
Thats it he had enough.She found herself pinned up against the nearest tree with his claws against her neck." My patience is wearing thin girl.." He tightened his grip on her shoulders and narrowed his eyes at her.She could have sworn that his eyes turned red for a moment.Kagome gulped and slowly began telling him what happened.

" STAY AWAY FROM ME RIN !" Jaken yelled back to the little girl as he continued running away from her." No Master Jaken I want to dress you up in pretty flowers! You will look so pretty !"
" I don't want to look pretty I am a male !" he growled out to her .He followed his lord's scent maybe he would help him away from this little, evil child.Why in the world did Lord Sesshomaru keep her around anyways ? The girl was nothing but a pain and HE was stuck watching her whenever his lord went out somewhere!

" Ah so thats what happened " Sesshomaru said with a raised eye brow.He relesed her shoulders and stepped back away from her.
" So you are now an outsider..how befitting."
Kagome said nothing but nodded she was something like an outsider now.
" LORD SESSHOMARU HEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP !" Jaken screamed out to his lord as he plopped to the ground, flowers falling off his head.Rin had caught up to him just enough to put about 5 or 6 flowers on his head.' Retched child ' The toad demon thought to himself.
" There you are Lord Sesshomaru...Ohhh a pretty lady " -she pointed at Kagome- " are you going to bring her home with us Lord Sesshomaru ! I have really wanted a friend to play with and Master Jaken always yells and says that I'm a evil child but Rin isn't not evil nope..nope.." She blabbed out with one breath.
" I do not think so Rin...she is.." ' a human ' how could he say that, Rin was a human.Knowing humans she would probaly get upset and not talk to him.Which wouldn't be a bad thing but after having her around for so long he did not want her to be upset with him.' It is better for her to be happy ' he thought to himself.
" Alright Rin she will come with us..but I do not know how long she will be staying."
" YYYYAAAAYYYYYYYY !"
Kagome closed her eyes to keep herself from lashing out infront of a child.She would have a little chat with the demon lord a bit later when she got him alone.How dare he decied that he could just take her somewhere without her say so! The miko still had Jewel Shards to capture.
" Alright calm yourself Rin we will be going now..Jaken take Rin back to Ah-Un and ride him back to the castle understand ?" Jaken nodded and told Rin to follow him back to Ah-Un.She did as she was told,but before leaving she told Kagome that she couldn't wait to play with her and she would meet her at the castle.' How cute she is ' Kagome thought.
Sesshomaru's voice snapped her out of her thoughts " Come human." Kagome glared at him, she wasn't a pet.She stood were she was just hoping to piss him off.Yes, she did when he turned back and noticed she wasn't following.He growled softly to himself and walked back to her, he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and carried her .
Kagome ' epped ' and gripped his clothing tightly." H-hey let me go !"
" You wouldn't follow so I'll carry you to my castle then."
" I'll walk, I'll walk.. just put me down !"
" No,I never said we were walking to my castle.." he replied cooly as a cloud started to form around his feet." W..what do you mean Sesshomaru ?"
He didn't reply but let actions speak for words as he took off into the air.
"Oh..My..God..Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! " Kagome shouted as she gripped his clothing even tighter.Sesshomaru almost winced at her sream." Shut your mouth girl..do not tell me you are afraid of heights after all that time of riding on the half-breed's back " he spat.
" I'm..I'm not afraid of heights I just don't like going this fast !" She squeaked out." Well, get used to it I am not slowing down..speaking of down... you wanted to get down, do you not?" he asked with a smirk.
Her eyes widened ..he was going to drop her !
Sesshomaru slowly let go of her and she started going down.Kagome could see the clouds and the trees below her.When he let go she was just about to scream to her death when she hit the floor of his cloud.She growled in annoyance and lifted herself into a sitting position.
That basterd had just teased her about falling ! She glared at his back." You tricked me " she mummbled." You wanted to get down" he said coldly as they continued to his castle.
