Kagome was finishing up washing up at a hot spring, taking a short break while on the group's quest for finding Naraku and the rest of the shikon no kakera, when she felt a strong demonic aura nearby. She wasn't sure what it was but at least she never went anywhere without her bow and quiver of arrows. She quickly got dressed and went to look for the source of the demonic aura. She walked a little ways and found Inuyasha, in his youkai form, mating with the undead miko, Kikyo. Just recently, Kagome did some research and found out that she wasn't the reincarnation of Kikyo but the reincarnation of the creator of the Shikon no Tama, the great Midoriko.

* How can I put into words what I feel?*

To say she was shocked would be an understatement, though it would explain Inuyasha's current attitude he's been having for the past few days. She just started to run, scared and hurt beyond her wits end.

Kagome kept running, past the hot spring, past the camp, earning the looks of her friends, which she ignored, and straight onto the Western Lands. She didn't stop until she ran into several youkai. These certain youkai happened to be soldiers in Sesshomaru's army and they took Kagome, who was still in tears and stunned, to their Lord.

Lord Sesshomaru was in his study when the youkai on patrol returned with Kagome in tow. He was surprised to see her, Inuyasha's wench, in the hands of his men.

"What is the meaning of this interruption?" he asked.

One soldier answered, "This girl literally ran into us while were on patrol my lord."

Sesshomaru had something similar to a crush (or whatever its called in youkai terms) on Kagome for some time. He never pursued it on account of his hanyou brother, thinking she was with him. But looking at her right then told him something happened between the two. He starting reevaluating his feelings and actions toward this ningen onna.

Kagome was standing still in his study watching his facial expressions, which he didn't have much of. She heard him quietly dismiss his men and motioned for her to sit down. Kagome happened to have similar feelings for the Taiyoukai, but like the deadly Taiyoukai, she never pursued them because of her so-called feelings for the hanyou.

Sesshomaru got out of his seat and walked to where Kagome was sitting, noticing the look on her face.

'Hn, she looks like she wants something to happen.'

He kneeled in front of her and then asked, "Can this Sesshomaru kiss the beautiful reincarnation of Midoriko? To fix what my baka brother did wrong?"

She nodded and he kissed her passionately and she returned it with equal passion.

She was amazed at the kiss. Her silver-haired angel was real. She only had dreams about the kiss and the Inu Taiyoukai. Little did she know, Sesshomaru was having similar dreams and thoughts, but instead of silver-haired angel, he was thinking of a raven-haired angel.

Sesshomaru broke the second kiss, looked into her eyes and openly admitted his feelings for her. "Kagome, I truly love you. I may be a cold-hearted jerk on the outside but when I'm around you, Rin, hell even Jaken (at times) I'm a completely different youkai. You understand that

this can't ever leave this room."

She nodded saying she understood that he needed to keep his reputation together for the other lords and other youkai.

When Kagome heard that, she was reminded of a part of a song from the modern era. She started singing the part that she felt fit Lord Sesshomaru perfectly.

She takes a breath, about to continue, but he stopped her. He asked, "Do you know how to write the words to this song for this Sesshomaru?"

She nodded, as he handed her a piece of parchment and a quill, he couldn't help but noticing her beauty. He noted that her strong spiritual powers and aura gave her a look of a heavenly angel. Then he pondered about the part of the song she just sung. Was she really talking about him; did she really see him in the words? So many questions and no answers yet. She startled him out of his thoughts, saying that she was done.

He looked over the words and asked, "Kagome, will you let me sing this next part for you?"

She nodded, actually wanting to hear Sesshomaru sing.

The great Taiyoukai Sesshomaru was a little nervous, yeah, he's sung for little Rin on many occasions but this time it was different. He was expressing his feelings, his love for this powerful ningen miko, the Shikon miko.

"Here goes nothing," he smirked.

He remembered the beat she set when she sung and picked up where she left off.

Kagome joined in at this point

They looked into each others eyes and Kagome smiled and continued on.

They share another kiss, and Kagome thought that Sesshomaru had a wonderful voice, for a stoic demon lord.

At the end of the song, the two lovers looked at each other and smiled, one of his rare smiles at that. Jaken rushed in, Rin hot on his tail. It seemed like the toad had news for the Taiyoukai.

"Mi Lord Sesshomaru," he gasped, "Your brother is here with his tachi and the undead Miko. He is demanding to see you."

Sesshomaru nodded and led Rin and Kagome to the foyer to meet his brother. Kagome took him off to the side and said, "Let this song be ours, even though it's from my time. And this song lets you know I'm yours now and forever. * and you've changed my world with just one kiss.* I love you my Lord Fluffy. Don't doubt that."

Sesshomaru smirked and thought, 'All it took was a simple song, to take something that means so much to my half-brother, from her time to bring us together. Interesting.'

"Coming Fluffy?" Kagome called out, "We need to find see what Inu-no-baka wants."

Sesshomaru nodded, 'Yes,' he thought, 'Just one song brought together. It is amazing to this Sesshomaru what simple things can accomplish.'
