Time...

It was midnight the stars seemed to glow much brighter with the full moon in their presence. The moon glowed down upon one traveling form. He looked like a fallen angel with his silver hair dancing in the midnight breeze. He moved gracefully through the thick, tall, lush green grass that swayed with the howling winds of the night. He traveled up a steep hill to a cliff overlooking the western domain, his domain. He looked down upon the lands as the trees cast their shadows upon him and the moon seemed to make him glow. His thoughts traveled back to the woman that he never realized he loved until she was gone. She was the only one who had ever escaped him, the one who seemed to escape time itself. She had been the time of his life but yet somehow he had never token out the time to see her, to truly see her. His piercing amber scanned through the lands below him as he parted his lips, the very lips that she had kissed him on for the first time earlier today but for the last time for all time and so he began to sing in a melody he had once heard her sing in but his own song. A song that he wrote for her, a song that he and the world would remember for all time for it would drift on the winds like a crumbled leaf...

"Standing in the sands of time

In between the lines of life and death

Looking back

Now I realize I was...

Never right

Always wrong

In black and white

Either good either evil

Strong maybe weak

I only saw in darkness

Only in light

Told the lies of a sinner a million times

Only told the truth a few times, sometimes

I ran

Rarely walked

Never took out the time to see you,

Truly see you

I never meant to be so blind, so unkind

In black and white

Either good either evil

Strong maybe weak

I only saw in darkness

Only in light

Told the lies of a sinner a million times

Only told the truth a few times, sometimes

How I never saw what was in front of me

All this time

You were in front of me

Now I've run out of time

We've run out of time

Time passed me by

I let love slip pass me

I let you slip pass me

In black and white

Either good either evil

Strong maybe weak

I only saw in darkness

Only in light

Told the lies of a sinner a million times

Only told the truth a few times, sometimes

You stand still

Through time

You didn't let life go

You grabbed on

And it led you where to go

Traveling through time

You are something truly divine

You once said life's not how many breaths you take

But how many moments take your breath away

You took away my breathe

You took my heart to a place I can't get it back

You've gone to a place I can't bring you back from"

He whispered the last part as he took the rose that she had given him earlier that day and laid it on the cliff and slowly turned and walked away. Unknowingly to him Kagome wasn't gone but was at the well holding the rose that he had laid where he thought to be her grave. He walked into the clearing of the well and saw her holding the rose she looked up meeting his gaze with full force. Sapphire orbs met gold/amber orbs. He noticed the rose in her hand was the same as the one he had dropped at her thought to be grave. She then fell backwards into the well as she dropped the rose in front of the well and right before his eyes grew a rose bush. He walked over to the well to peer over it's rim but he knew that she had gone through time...to where ever she belonged...to whom ever she belonged...
