Chapter One

This story jumps around a lot, so be warned. Really REALLY short. But I like it. I made this up while reading 'Am I Not Enough? by 7omKat'. I don't know why.... Its a little complicated, so you'll have to forgive me. The evil flying coconut carrying plot bunnies of DOOM have made a nice plotless soup out of this fic. This is my POV of what Kagome would do if this happened. SesshoMaru knows of EVERYTHING, including the whole time travel thing. He is only here because I needed some one to talk to Kagome and he fit perfect.

"I love you."

"I love you too, InuYasha."

Kagome watched as Kikyo and InuYasha said those words. A smile upon her face.

"Kagome! Kikyo an I are getting married! Aren't you happy for us?" His face could not get any happier.

"What? That's great InuYasha! So, where/when?" Kagomes face could rival that of InuYasha's.

"Mi-lord, why are we at the half-breed wedding?"

"Whether I want to or not, I have to be here. He IS family, sadly." SesshoMaru look around the open meadow before the temple, spotting Kagome. A cheerful smile on her beautiful face. 'Something is not right about her.'

Kagome smiled and waved at the demon who could kill her without a second thought. She passed him and heeded into the wedding temple. She stopped once in there, SesshoMaru staring at her. "Now where to sit...." Her face was no longer smiling, but she look just as happy as before though. She then spotted Sango and Miroku and sat down next to them, smiling and giggling with them.

SesshoMaru took a seat in the back and watched his half brother get married to the 'woman' he loved.

"Kagome. Meet me at the big rock by the river tomorrow night." Kagome was the only one to hear him and she smiled and nodded.

"What is it?" She was in her normal attire, sitting on the big rock by the slowly moving river. She smiled as she saw him make his way to her.

"What is wrong with you?" He was in his normal attire as well, he wasted no time in asking her.

"Why, what ever do you mean?" Her face lost the smile but it turned inquizzical, just as happy as before.

"What I said, what is wrong with you?" His eyes forced an answer out of her. "You smile, laugh, take joy in the simplest things but something is wrong with you. The person that you loved enough to give up your family, future, and any hope of seeing any thing familiar again just married another woman who tried to kill you several times. You have no purpose here, Naraku is dead, the Shikon complete; you will die here alone, with out love, guarding a jewel which caused countless deaths while your enemy lives in your place next to InuYasha's side, having his children, and you know that. So tell me, what is it? Why do you smile so?"

Kagome look down on her hands, a smile still on her face. "You ask what is wrong with me. And I will tell you, even though you will not understand." She looked back up upon the taiyokai before her ever-grinning face. "I have to keep Smiling... I have to..." The smile was there, but the tears streaming down her face said more....
