Helena

// Long ago

Just like the hearse

You died to get in again

We are so far from you //

Once upon a time there was a girl. She was very beautiful, though she never realized it. She had peach skin and raven black hair. Eyes that resembled spots of melted chocolate. She had the figure of an hour glass. She had a voice that sounded like an angels. She had a heart of gold and a mind of steel. She cared about everyone unless they tried to hurt her but she always gave them a second chance. That is unless they hurt someone she cared about. She was loved by all and hated by one. She was full of life and spirit. But now, she's dead. The story that is about to be told is a dark one. Here is the tale of the mortal angels' suicide.

// Burning on just like the match

You strike to incinerate

The lives of everyone you know //

Our tale begins on the night of a full moon. Our Angel and her friends had settled down for the night. They had a fire going in the middle of the camp. Everyone was curled up fast asleep except for our angel and her love, The Husky (as in the dog breed). Our Angel was lying in her bed when she realized the husky was gone. She quietly got up and began looking for him. she called his name into the silent night but she found nothing. Then, she heard voices. She peaked out from behind a tree to see The Husky with The Clay Doll. She listened to their conversation carefully and nearly cried when she managed to get away. She ran deep into the forest, far from her friends and the husky. Her eyes were full of tears when she stopped at a cliff that overlooked the ocean. She tried to spread her wings and fly but found them burnt and broken.

// And what's the worst you take

From every heart you break

And like the blade you stain

Well I've been holding on tonight //

Our Angel sat upon the beach, her feet in the shallow water. Her back rested against a rock. She released a staggered sigh. The tears threatening her eyes again. she closed her eyes a moment as one of her hands dug through the sand. She jerked up in pain when she felt something sharp against her fingertip. She removed the sand to see a small dagger. She looked at it a moment before she realized that the beach was covered with half buried skeletons. She looked at the shimmering blade again. she picked it up and held it in her hand. She stared at it as the tears returned to her eyes. She held the handle of the dagger firmly in her hand as she held up the soft side of her arm. She felt a sting when the blade made contact but then sweet relief. She removed the blade and watched the crimson liquid flow down her arm and fall into the raising tide.

// What's the worst thing I can say

Things are better if I stay

So long and goodnight

So long and goodnight //

The Husky and his friends traveled through the forest in search of Our Angel. She had been missing for about a day and they were very worried. He had gone to her home but found that she wasn't there. It was then they knew they had to find her. They searched high and low, near and far, yet they could not find her. She had simply vanished. Then, they came to a beach where there had been a battle. As they walked, the husky smelt blood, only a day or two old. Then they say bloodstained sand. Their worst fears were realized when he announced that it was her blood. The set camp in the forest and cried around the fire. He sat quietly in a tree and prayed that she was all right.

// Came a time when every star fall

Brought you to tears again

We are the very hurt you sold //

Our Angel sat upon a hill top, starring at the stars above. She watched them shine in the absence of the moon. She admired their beauty. She saw one shoot across the sky. Quickly, she closed her eyes and made a wish. When she looked back at the stars, the sky had clouded over with storm clouds. She quickly stood and ran for cover from the falling rain. She soon found a cave, she went in and sat in the very back, far from the rain. There was no light where she sat, curled in a ball for warmth. She laid against the moss covered wall and soon fell to sleep with the steady beat of the rain to fill the silence.

// And what's the worst you take

From every heart you break

And like the blade you stain

Well I've been holding on tonight //

Our Angel fingered the handle of the dagger as she sat in the darkness of the cave. The rain had not halted since she had awoken. She could hear the drops hitting the rocks above her. She had managed to find some wild berries to eat when she had searched the cave. She continued to listen to the rain as she lowered the blade to the soft side of her arm, adding another scar to her many already existing ones. She watched as the blood fell to the mossy stone beneath her, turning it crimson. She sighed when the blood stopped flowing. She wiped away the blood that was still on her arm as she pulled down her sleeve to cover her scars. She continued to listen to the rain until she heard foot steps echo from the opening of the cave.

// What's the worst thing I can say

Things are better if I stay

So long and goodnight

So long and goodnight //

Our Angel watched as a God stepped into the cave. His beauty was truly something to behold. She had never seen anything like him in her life. She watched as he sat down on a rock near the opening and watched the rain. She was in total aw. She would have flapped her wings if they were not still burnt and broken. She hid behind the rocks when he turned his head in her direction. He sniffed the air and gained a disgusted look to his godly face. He stood and began to walk towards the back of the cave. She sat flat against the rocks as he approached. She watched with fearful eyes as he rounded the rocks and found her. He looked at her with his ice covered eye. He told her to go to the front of the cave. Fearfully, she did as she was told.

// And if you carry on this way

Things are better if I stay

So long and goodnight

So long and goodnight //

After a moment, The God returned to the cave opening. He sat on the same rock as before and stared at Our Angel. He observed her closely, noticing her burnt and broken wings. He didn't know what had happened but it must have been painful. He then noticed the smell of fresh blood on her. He ordered her to show him her wound. She hesitated at first, then, she rolled up her sleeves. He then ordered her to approach him so that he could see. What he saw shocked him. The soft sides of her arms were covered with white scars. He looked her in the eyes and saw frozen tears within them. After a moment, he smacked the soft sides of her arms. She pulled them back because they stung. He told her to never do that again for it would only make her wings worse. As he yelled at her, she looked at her arms to see two red hand prints upon them. The tears began to fall as she turned and ran out of the cave. He tried to follow her but the rain had washed away her scent. She was gone.

// Can you hear me

Are you near me

Can we pretend to leave and then

We'll meet again

When both our cars collide //

The God searched high and low for Our Angel. He called her name into the forests and followed her scent in the fields. He searched for days and days but found nothing. Yet again, she had simply vanished. He then took to the skies to search, hoping that her wings had healed and that she was flying. He flew form dawn until dusk, finding nothing. He then rested for the night. It was then he smelt her blood in the air. He followed it to a waterfall. He saw her perched upon one of the protruding rock within the waterfall. Her wings hanging limply, burnt black and broken beyond repair. He saw a stream of blood in the water, flowing from where she sat. The rock stained crimson.

// What's the worst thing I can say

Things are better if I stay

So long and goodnight

So long and goodnight //

The God yelled to Our Angel, telling her to come to him. She merely raised her head, her tearful, blood shot eyes gazing through her matted black hair. He told her again and watched as she stood and fell off the rock. He quickly dove into the water and brought her to the shore. He laid her on her back and felt for a pulse, she had a weak on. It was then he noticed that she wasn't breathing. He placed his lips upon hers and breathed for her. He pushed her chest and breathed. He repeated this until she began to cough. He pulled away and watched her brown eyes open and look to him. She mouthed thank you before she sat up. He placed a hand upon her shoulder when she began to cough again. she gave him a smile before she tried to stand. He caught her when she fell. They looked at each other a moment before she thanked him again. It was then he sealed their lips together in a kiss only an immortal could give.

// And if you carry on this way

Things are better if I stay

So long and goodnight

So long and goodnight //

The God awoke in the morning he found Our Angel missing. He searched for her but found nothing. It was then he saw a river of blood. He followed it to its source and gasped in shock. Laying there upon the back of the river was our angel. Her upper body was submersed in the river while her legs kept her form moving. Her eyes were a grey color and her skin was a pale white. Her arms rested on the bed of the river with her head. From what he could see, they were slit open. He found a bloodstained dagger on the bank next to her body. he watched as the last of her blood poured from her body. It was then he noticed her wings were nothing but broken bones connected by a think layer of burnt flesh. He pulled her form the water and carried her body back to her friends. They burned her and spread her ashes. No matter what they thought, they all knew it was The Husky's fault. It was all his fault.

The End

AN

I just had to write a songfic for Helena. I love the song too much. I hope you like it. The last time I did something like this was Smooth Criminal and not very many people praised that. They said it was because it was confusing. So, just to clear things up, I'll tell you who's who so you don't get confused.

Our Angel was Kagome

The Husky was Inuyasha cuz he has husky ears!

The Clay Doll was Kikyo, Duh! That one was the most obvious one! If you didn't think it was her, you're stupid. Get out, before I beat your ass.

The God was SesshoMaru Sama. Of course, he is a god! At least in my eyes he is!

Hope that cleared some stuff up. I know that I need to finish Wounded but I needed to write this so I could get my focus back on wounded. By the way, it's almost over. Just a few more chapters and maybe an epilogue. I don't know for sure. Anyway it's 2:00 in the morning here in Missouri and I need to get to bed. Please review!
