Chapter 1 Kidnapped or Something Like That

The Silver glow from the full moon shown down on the darkened forest. A lone figure gracefully ran through the forest, making it seem as if he was gliding over the dampened grass.

His long silver tresses flew behind him, the dampened air making the ends curl. His golden eyes searched the darkness, his whole body stiff and rigid, as if expecting something to jump out at him.

Sesshoumaru felt anger bubble inside of him at the

very thought of having to find the help of a lowly human. The very thought was poison on his tongue but he needed his brother's wench to guide Rin in what he could not.

He caught the scent of the strange miko and knew he was getting closer to his destination. On the edge of his senses, he could feel a tiny pull as if something was guiding his path to this human wench.

' I do not like this thing that is guiding me to that human, if I wasn't certain it was impossible, I would

say it was the beginnings of a bonding spell.' That thought alone caused him to react with loathing

and disgust.

"I would never be bonded to a human!" Sesshoumaru practically spit out.

Kagome yelped out in alarm as she was tossed in the air by the weasel demon the group was currently fending off. Just as she was about to hit the ground, she felt Inuyasha's strong arms catch her and bring her safely against his chest.

"Jeez, why is it I always have to waste my time saving you, cant you be a little more careful!" Inuyasha said, annoyed, as he gently put down Kagome a safe distance away from the fighting. Before she could come up with a retort, Inuyasha had already turned from her and bounded back into battle, his sword glinting he swung it. Miroku watched as the weasel-demon tossed Inuyasha back. He sighed and clutched his beads.

"This demon should not be this difficult to defeat, we have defeated much stronger."

Sango came up behind him and nodded in agreement Kagome walked up to their group as well, Shippou trailing behind her.

" You guys, I don't sense any jewel shards in this demon, and he shouldn't be this strong on his own."

" I agree with you lady Kagome." Miroku said, nodding his head and looking back to where Inuyasha continued to fight the off the demons attacks.

When Inuyasha was flung into the bushes, by the

weasels tail, he jumped out and bounded over to their group, a trail of curses spilling from his frowning mouth.

" What the hell do you think you guys are doing? Are you just going to stand there and watch as I get my ass kicked?" Inuyasha yelled, his eyes fierce with anger. Kagome laid a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Calm down Inuyasha, we were just talking about how to beat..." Kagome was cut off when the weasel's pain filled shout filled the air, and then was abruptly cut off.

Looking over to where the demon once stood, the group was stunned to find, only ash and Sesshoumaru standing there, re-sheathing his sword. Inuyasha growled and jumped in front of the small group, protectively.

"Sesshoumaru!"

"I am not here for you half-breed, I have need of your wench." Sesshoumaru said, his eyes landing on Kagome, standing behind Inuyasha.

"What do you mean you need her? For what? And what the hell makes you think I would let you take her anyways." Sesshoumaru's lips twitched into a cold smile, sending icy fear down Kagome's spine.

"You cannot stop me, half-breed, I will take what I

need."

Sesshoumaru then disappeared before their eyes. Kagome tensed up when she felt herself being lifted. She turned to find herself looking into golden eyes, cold as ice.

" Put me down you bastard!" She hissed. Inuyasha spun around at her voice, his eyes filling with fear when his eyes lay on the scene in front of him.

A foreign wind rose up around Sesshoumaru and Kagome and in a blink of an eye they were flying across the darkened sky, their speed picking up as every second pasted.

"Kagome!!!!" Inuyasha cried, trying to run after

Sesshoumaru. He stopped when Sesshoumaru and Kagome became a point in the sky and then a second later disappeared altogether.

"Kagome..." Inuyasha whispered, his voice hoarse.

Sesshoumaru felt the human at his side slump, when he looked over he found that she had fainted.

'Humans, how weak they are.' He thought in disgust, holding Kagome up with his only hand.

'How will I be able to tolerate two humans in my

household?' Sesshoumaru asked himself, looking down at the slumbering human at his side.

' I will have to teach her to stay out of my way

then.'

Sesshoumaru turned back just in time to find he had

reached his destination. He landed in the courtyard of his castle and saw as Rin ran out the door as fast as her legs could go.

" Sesshoumaru, Rin has been a good girl while you've been gone..." pausing she noticed the other person next to her master.

"Who is that?"

Sesshoumaru dropped the girl and started walking

towards the door.

" She is to be your new teacher." He said simply and walked through the door.
