Bad News

Chapter 1: Bad News

Kagome opened her eyes with the sun shining brightly in her face. She was in her sleeping bag along with a kitsune fox. He was getting older but didn't show it much. It's been five years and they still didn't catch Naraku because of Kagome's high school. Mostly because of her and Inuyasha's arguments but that wasn't the point. 'I need to take a bath and get breakfast ready.' Kagome thought moving slowly out of the sleeping bag. She was trying not to wake up Shippo so it took a few minutes. She gathered her materials to bathe then started to walk down the path when someone stopped her. "Where do you think you're going?" Inuyasha asked with a smirk on his face.

"I'm going to take a quick bath in the hot springs. I'll be right back okay!" she said not looking at him.

Inuyasha folded his arms and leaned against the tree. "Feh. It's not like I care. What a nuisance. I'm pretty sure she'll be back in an hour tops."

He looked up into the sky and sighed. Then he smelt Kikyo near and saw one of her soul collectors not to far from where he was. He ran after it and forgot all about Kagome.

'I wonder why I dreamt of him of all the people and not Inuyasha pop up any where.' Kagome thought as she soaked herself in the nice spring. 'I mean it's not like I don't like him. He's pretty sexy for a demon. Every time we're in battle I always tell Shippo that. It's just amazing how he looked so right kissing me.' Kagome touched her lips. 'His cold glares not only makes me scared but kind of happy.' She looked up and whispered, "Sesshoumaru. I wonder why he always is cold to humans. Something must have happened to him that made him hate humans."

She took a deep breath and went under the water to rinse her hair. She came back up with black hair sticking to her face. 'My powers are stronger but I couldn't dream of hurting him. He is Inuyasha's brother after all. I have the best aim but if I try to shoot him I always miss. If the world counted on me to kill him I still wouldn't do it.'

Kagome sighed and realized her feelings for Inuyasha has changed and they have changed for Sesshoumaru too. She never thought of Sesshoumaru as a rude demon from the first place. She thought of him like he had a broken heart and showed no emotion whatsoever. He wasn't evil either he was a prince that needed help that's what he was to Kagome.

"Inuyasha I wish to join you on your quest to hunt down Naraku." Kikyo whispered into his ear. Inuyasha didn't care either way. He just wanted Kikyo and Kagome to love only him and all that was already true. But Kagome was different.

"Kikyo I really don't care about the others it's just...you know last week that stunt you tried with Kagome. She'll be made as hell."

"I don't care what others think. My reincarnation always gets what I'm supposed to have. I only join your group to kill Naraku and then you will make your decision." Kikyo rubbed his cheek then hugged him. Inuyasha frowned and knew he would regret his words.

"You can join the group because Naraku seems to be close by. By that time though I would have made the decision to stay or go with you." Inuyasha said hugging her back. Even though he was kind of happy he could already feel the regrets of taking in Kikyo.

'I better get back knowing Inuyasha he would be made at me for staying longer than I said I would especially after dreaming about his brother. He wouldn't allow me even thinking of him if he knew I liked him.'

Kagome got up out the springs and dried her body off quickly. And dried her hair as much as she could. She put on a white shirt and a pink skirt with white sandals. Kagome felt that something bad was going to happen pretty soon so she hurried onto camp.

When she came in view of the camp she didn't see Inuyasha anywhere. 'He must be on one of his cooling down runs.' She thought putting her things back into her black book bag.

Kagome then pulled out a can of sardines and poured the liquids into the ground. Then she put them in a bowl and waited for Kilala to wake up. Then she pulled out some pans and made a fire quickly so breakfast will be ready when they woke up.

By that time Miroku was getting up and she already had eggs on a plate. Then Inuyasha came back. "Kagome that smells good. Is it Ramen and that Yellow Stuff?" Inuyasha said with Kikyo. Inuyasha put Kikyo down and she sat on a rock.

"It's called egg Inuyasha and where have you been I was getting worried that you was extremely mad at me." Kagome said not looking up but stirring the noodles with the eggs. When she looked over she wasn't happy at all at what she saw. Inuyasha could already smell her anger growing. Miroku yawned and looked at Inuyasha.

"What is she doing here?" Kagome said not trying to burn the food. Miroku could see this wasn't going to pretty. "Yes what exactly is she doing here?" siding with Kagome so he won't be part of the coal to the fire.

"Now guys she wants to join our group to kill Naraku. She said she couldn't sense his presence anymore. And you know we need all the help we can get." He said defensively.

Kagome looked at him like he was crazy. Miroku then saw Shippo waking up. He quickly went over to him and covered his ears because apparently Kagome was about to erupt.

That very second Kagome yelled, "What?!!!"

Inuyasha put his ears down flat on his head because he knew what was coming up next.

"YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE THAT BITCH? SHE TRIED TO KILL ME NO LESS THAN A WEEK AGO AND YOU WANT ME TO ACCEPT HER AS AN ALLY!" Kagome put her hands on her hips and stood up. "HELL NO!!" Inuyasha then said, "She wants to apologize."

She looked at Kikyo with so much hatred that they felt darkness fall on that part on the road. "LOOK IF YOU MAKE ONE MISTAKE I WILL KILL YOU! GOT IT!"

Sango and Kilala finally woke up. Kikyo wasn't frightened that much but she was a sad. Inuyasha tried to talk to her but she turned her back on the group and didn't say a word.

Inuyasha knew she was true on her word. She did the same thing with Koga and Ayame. Koga refused to admit his feelings for Ayame and guess what Kagome did. She threatened to torture him for the rest of his life. When he didn't believe her she shot a normal arrow at his left leg. She trapped him in a corner and began smacking him until he confessed. That day was a year ago, now Koga has a son named Tioga.

Inuyasha sighed and jumped into a tree and waited for breakfast to be finished. By then Kagome would have cooled off some. When Shippo came walking up to her and wiped his eyes Kagome smiled. He was her step son after all. She was the only thing close to a mother to him and he was getting smarter just by listening to her stories as a child. "Shippo how was your sleep? I hope you didn't hear me yelling just then." Kagome said lifting him up.

"No Miroku covered my ears. What were you yelling about anyway?"

"I was yelling because Kikyo has joined the group. I was giving her rules so that she knows who boss around here." Shippo was the size of a 2 year old boy still but the only thing that changed is how smart he is. For a young fox kit he knew a lot since Kagome been schooling him. Sango got up and saw that Kilala was already eating the sardines Kagome laid out for him.

Moments Later.........

"Okay everybody breakfast is ready!" Kagome's attitude changed exactly what Inuyasha thought. He jumped down out of the tree because he was always served first. She handed him a bowl of her famous Ramen the way she made it. Everybody else had the eggs and the Ramen mixed together. She smiled and said, "I hope you enjoy because we have a long way to go to get the last shard from Naraku and Koga's and the one I sense on them mountains." Kagome smiled and so did he but he felt that something was wrong with her.

Kikyo stared out into the land and didn't even try to look at the group enjoying their breakfast. Kagome then put a small plate on the rock next to her and said, "I don't care if you are dead. You will eat my food. And since you joined that is the first rule on this camp." Kikyo looked at it confused. She thought it was poisoning the she saw Sango, Shippo, and Miroku eating it. 'I have to go by his rules to. I must go along with that reincarnation wench of mines.' Kikyo thought stuffing a piece in her mouth. 'This stuff is good.' Kagome walked away and sat next to Shippo.

Kagome stared at Kikyo and didn't like it one bit. 'I hope today's bad news don't ruin my concentration. Then again every second I'm thinking about Sesshoumaru. So I guess I can try to be nice.'

Kagome stopped staring at ate her breakfast hoping the falling week won't be hard on her.

"PLEASE! STOP!" she said breathing heavily. "I'll tell you. The last one is in the mountains and the other ones in the legs of Koga."

He cut her stomach and she screamed. He smacked her and she passed out. She was losing lots of blood and she couldn't do anything about it.

Naraku frowned. 'What a mess. All that blood is ruining my wooden floors.' He walked out of the room with a smirk on his face that could kill a thousand men.
