Ok, people. This is my gift to you. Why? Because schools out! Celebrate! Actually not the best gift. Kind of like... a dollar in a big pretty box with a giant bow on it. But be happy, I skipped school for this. I could be stuffing my face right now. Actually I wouldn't... But still you can read. Tell me how much it sucks in a review. But read first, it usually helps.

This is my first fic but I've been messing with it for about a year. The finished product isn't exactly how I want it, but it close. Hope you like it. R&R. Tell me how much it sucks

He smiled as she added her salty tears to the mixture of his blood and the blood of many others slain on which he laid. His nose was overrun with all the foul scents mingling together, but he didn't care. He was to intent upon the blurry figure hovering over him; her soft scent barely distinguishable from the rest.

He knew he wouldn't live through this; not even kami himself could live through this. In fact, the only reason he lived, though not for much longer, was because of her; the ebony haired angel above him. No one would have survived if it weren't for her. She saved the entire the entire group from a horrible fate only the most deranged psychos could inflict.

They had worked so hard, traveled so far, and finally they had made it to the final battle against Naraku. But no one was able to directly exact their revenge. They were only able to stare in wonderment, transfixed, watching. Watching the one they all considered family purify Naraku, body and soul, into nothingness. Her rage at seeing them all fall and being able to do nothing forced her powers to the surface. She become the embodiment of the Shikon no Tama and used every ounce of its power combined with her own to destroy Naraku and undo all he had done.

However, he couldn't die yet. He still had something to tell her. He had wanted for so long too tell her this, but when he opened his mouth to speak, all that came out was blood. It appeared that the wound on his chest had gone deeper than thought, it had pierced a lung.

"No!" She cried in an agitated whisper. "Don't speak! Save your strength!" She brushed his, blood-streaked, matted hair away from his face. She loved that hair; it was the first thing she noticed about him. He was standing tall and proud on that demon hair gleaming in the moon's light. It wasn't rough and thick like InuYasha's, it was silky smooth and flowed like a river down his back.

She tore a piece of cloth from the sleeve of his houri and wiped the blood from his mouth. She was helpless to do anything else. She knew he would die yet could not face it. Red tears ran across blood streaked cheeks to land on their inter-locked hands. "You have to stay alive for a little longer, you have to stay alive so we can heal you. You can take this! Your youkai! Come on! This can't kill you! You can take this! You won't die! You can't die! Please! I need you!" her voice rose with every word only to fall with the last. "Don't die." She whispered franticly. "Don't die... don't die...don't die.. don't die don't die don't diedon'tdiedon'tdiedon'tdiedon'tdiedon't-"

He attempted to speak again but all that escaped his lips was a strangled cough, accompanied with more blood.

"No!" she cried again. She held his hand as if that one, futile gesture could save him; as if it were his life.

I love you, my Kagome, were his only thoughts as her image started to fade. He gave a sad smile, at least it can't be said I die dishonorably, no I died to save my mate; even if only I new she was.

"I love you, my Seshoumaru. I love you so much. I will never forget you." She whispered as black conquered his vision and his hand slipped from her fingers; along with his life.
