A full Moon by Cassandra

a remembrance

he full moon shown down on the lake , reflecting the beautiful face of

Kagome. She smiled at herself and wiped away a tear. It had been five years this night since she had lost her friend and love, Inuyasha.

The Jewel had been completed and Naruku sent to his end taking her Inuyasha with him. Her love for him and his last whispered comments would

always stand in her memory. She sniffled a bit and wiped her eyes again.

The wind blew her hair into her eyes as she gasped as she glanced down and saw a reflection that was not her own. " Sesshomaru?"

She stood quickly, well aware of the fact that she wore only her nightgown

The Western lord smirked at the dark haired human before him. He knew every full moon she came out to remember his brother's loss

Her sadness scented the air like lilacs at full bloom. It enticed him.

The last five years he had watched over her from a distance. He had seen her mature from awkward teen to the woman she was now.

He had seen the feudal men come to her and be sent away. Never hurt, never angry. More in love with her for being denied. He had watched

as she smiled at her friend's wedding and as she helped when Sango bore her first child. He had never truly cared for his half breed brother.

He wondered why this human intrigued him.

She stood trembling from the cold and fear. Her last encounter with Sesshomaru had been the day Inuyasha had died. He didn't even try to revive his brother. He had simply taken Tetsaiga as his.

It must have been right as the sword had not burned him. Kagome stiffled a

sob and looked up. " What do you want Lord Sesshomaru..?"

Sesshomaru was taken aback by her beauty. He lost the words he was going to say and merely looked down at her.
