Kagome sat on the rim of the old well that she had passed through many times before to get to the place she knew as the Sengoku Jedai.

The smell of spring which consisted of new shrubbery and blossoms filled her nose as the breeze flew past her blowing her raven locks in the wind. It was beautiful from the point where she sat. Looking at the Goshinboku tree where she had saved the boy with silver hair and dog like traits from an eternal sleep.

It brought back memories of when she had first traveled to the Sengoku Jedai to find Inuyasha pinned to the tree with a sacred arrow from over fifty years before. After pulling the arrow from him and his resting place he had attacked her thinking she was the one she had grown to hate even hearing her name. Soon after befriending her new accomplice she had been the one to split the Shikon no Tama into millions of pieces which they now were still searching for.

During those two years she was with Inuyasha, her Inuyasha, she had gained new allies and best friends there, but most of all she had gained a growing love in her heart for that boy with dog traits that she had traveled with for two years.

She was known as a miko of a special kind and the incarnate of two very special ones. One who included Midoriko, the powerful miko who sacrificed her life to protect and ended up creating the Shikon. And the other who included Kikyou who was killed by Naraku, the one they had been searching for as well as the Shikon.

Kikyou was in love with Inuyasha fifty years back but when Naraku disguised himself as Inuyasha to frame him and get the jewel, he injured her making her die from the injury after pinning Inuyasha to the tree.

It was no use thinking about the past now except the fact that she was technically in the past, but still Kagome wanted to plan out the right future for herself and her friends as well.

Today, she thought. Today would be the day where she would finally make her future dream come true. She would admit to Inuyasha how she felt about him.

The aura of the Inu hanyou made her turn her attention to the rustling in the bushes nearby the Goshinboku tree. There emerged the one she knew as Inuyasha who had drilled a place into her caring heart.

His golden orbs sending a feeling of sadness and pity toward her as he waved at her sending her a somewhat half smile.

Kagome looked optimistic as always as she sent him a wide, caring smile while reacting to his presence with a "Hey Inuyasha!"

The ominous expression never left his face as he replied "What's up Kagome," in her direction.

"Well you see..." Kagome was never one to be panicky when it came to talking with her good friend Inuyasha, but it was different today. "I have something to tell you, Inu."

"Okay, what is it that you need to tell me." Inuyasha had now taken a seat on the grass surrounding the outer layer of the wooden well while he waited for Kagome to speak.

"Umm... I-I..." Kagome stuttered loudly looking into the worried golden eyes of her lover.

"I... Have feelings for you." Her blue-grey eyes looked down out of Inuyasha's as the rush of blood to her brain flushed her face with red.

Inuyasha turned his head to the side not wanting to see the cute expression plastered on Kagome's face that he had loved to see before. "Oh, I was afraid that you would say that, Kagome. I am sorry but I don't love you like that. I think of you as a friend and nothing more."

Kagome's face turned back to it's usual color as she lifted her head, eyes widened in slight shock and utter confusion.

"Every time we had kissed before I was thinking of someone else, not you," He finished not letting her reply right away.

The love shrine in her head just collapsed as the words flooded and drowned her making her want to gasp for air. It made her dizzy just hearing those words and the feeling of her wanting to faint never left her. Traveling with Inuyasha for two years made her aware of how he didn't really appreciate crying or wining if she was to start, but the feeling of wetness over her eyes pushed her to do so.

"Y-you were thinking of K-Kikyou, weren't you?" she stuttered through sobs and wet tears that ran down her porcelain like face.

He nodded as he answered "Hai; I am sorry Kagome, but I have chosen Kikyou. I was only using you to collect jewel shards for her."

The whole world froze as those final words poured out of his mouth. Kagome wasn't feeling herself as the image of Inuyasha slipped out of her mind. Could it have been a dream that she was going through?

Up in the branches of the Goshinboku tree lay a somewhat shadowed figure. The only thing that was visible was the platinum silver hair that came from the figure.

As the figure moved his face came into the view of the sun shining down on it. It revealed a man with a crescent moon on his forehead and there were two magenta stripes on his cheeks. The most guided and visible fixation that the sun showed was his golden eyes that were filled with stories upon stories of untold secrets. They were a reminisce of the setting sun itself almost, except they showed no emotion and were as cold as the arctic.

Sesshomaru observed from the tree watching the little play as Inuyasha broke Kagome's heart. He had originally planned to steal Kagome for the Tetsusaiga, but he hadn't planned on this little show they were performing. Soon after arriving he had decided to watch, being in the good mood he was at the moment.

'He is truly a baka if he hasn't already learned that she is important to his survival. But what do I care if he becomes miserable,' Sesshomaru thought as he continued to watch the show before him.

"I am sorry Kagome," Inuyasha half whispered as he took hold of Kagome's shoulders and shoved her down the well but not before grabbing the shards from around her neck while she begun to fall.

Kagome was still trapped in time. The site before her seemed as if it were in slow motion as she was pushed down the well into the dark abyss below.

'What is he planning,' Sesshomaru thought jumping from the tree branch. 'If he is trying to kill her I must act now.'

Using his speed and swiftness he was heading to the well before her legs disappeared into its secrets. It seemed as though his velocity failed him that time as the pull of the well soon happened upon him.

He reached out his arm and stretched out his fingers as he barely touched the skirt that she wore.

"Could that have been...? Sesshomaru," Inuyasha said scarcely. The thought of what he had just done clouded his mind intensely. His thoughts just couldn't turn any directions. He had to see Kikyou.

***

The blue lighted pathway ended as the gravity around him intensified. He was on earth again, he was sure, but it felt different.

"What is this place, it is different," Sesshomaru said aloud turning around to see the full form of the girl who traveled with Inuyasha since the Shikon jewel shattered. She was there sitting on the earth sobbing. He didn't have an idea why, but all he wanted to know was where he was.

"Wench, where are we?" his eyes narrowed at her as he waited for her answer. The patience in him wearing thin, and at a very fast rate.

Kagome continued her sobs, not noticing that Inuyasha's hated half brother Sesshomaru was there behind her.

Sesshomaru was finally fed up with her weak minded cries. He was going to get an answer out of her no matter what it took to get it. With his fast speed he was pinning her to the wall of the old well with a choking grip with his hand. "You will listen to me when I talk, Kagome," the ice emitting from his tone could send anyone away cowering in fear.

Kagome finally snapped back into reality at the hearing of her name being called by someone she knew. She looked up to meet golden sun-set eyes looking into her own bluish-grey ones.

"Inuyasha," she whispered in a barely audible tone. A growl was heard coming from the person before her and the air suddenly wasn't coming to her lungs anymore.

"I am not Inuyasha," answered Sesshomaru angrily as he tightened his grip on her.

Kagome's hands came up to grab his hand from around her neck but it seemed useless since she was weak from no air. "We are in my time," Kagome hardly choked out.

"And what time would that happen to be?" Sesshomaru asked. He wasn't going to put up with this human pettiness and he didn't want to unless it was Rin.

Kagome's air supply was running short as she coughed quite loudly. Sesshomaru noticed her weak-minded attempt for air and let her go from his death depending grip.

"I want to know exactly where and when we are."

Kagome held onto neck, breathing in as much air as she could as she started choking out her answers, "We are in Kyoto, Japan and the year is 2004."

That would have to do for now, he thought. If he killed her he would have no chance of getting back to the time he was supposed to be in. He would just have to deal with his brother's wench for now.

'If this is the year 2004 then that would mean we are 500 years into the future, but does this really mean that this girl comes to my time from the future?' Sesshomaru thought silently bringing his thumb and index finger up to his chin for hold.

"Tell me miko; are there youkai in this time period?"

Kagome had gotten over her need for air and her thought of Inuyasha's words. She was now fully aware of her situation now that Sesshomaru was here in her time period which could mean there could be danger ahead for her and many others.

"I am not sure if there are many but I think there might be some weak youkai around," Kagome answered unsure if she was right or wrong.

"Then this time is useless to me. How will I be able to get back?" Kagome's eyes suddenly widened in revelation as she noticed that she hadn't had the jewel shards with her. Inuyasha had taken them from her when she was falling.

"We have to have the Shikon jewel shards here with us but Inuyasha took them from me when he shoved me down the well." Kagome's eyes became glazed over by wetness again at the mention of Inuyasha.

"Useless," is all Sesshomaru had to say.
