Prologue: This is NOT good...

---

This was bad...

No, this was VERY bad...

This was so bad that the devil himself would sob hysterically if he was stuck in the situation Higurashi Kagome had unwittingly gotten herself into. Damn Naraku! He'd chosen the worst time POSSIBLE to attack! Right when everyone had gathered around the well to see her off to her own time, Kagura had appeared out of nowhere and had attacked them. Then Naraku himself had shown up...and after him...

She was snapped out of memory lane, her cerulean blue eyes widening in fear as a low snarl reminded her of the present.

BAD BAD THIS WAS VERY VERY BAD!

"Miko...explain where the hell we are...and why the air...reeks with the scent of ningens." Murmured the cool, deep and deadly voice of Lord Sesshoumaru. The great taiyoukai of the Western Lands, and possibly the most powerful youkai in all of Japan.

And definitely the most powerful youkai around now…

Considering that he was the ONLY youkai around… in Tokyo… that was full of innocent people...who didn't have a clue that demons even existed...

Not good not good NOT GOOD!

"Uhh...well...you...see...uhh Sesshoumaru uhh we're...uhh not in...ummm..." Kagome began when the chilly voice of the cold Lord cut her off.

"Cease your babbling and explain to this Sesshoumaru where we are." The unspoken threat of 'or-else' hung in the air, he was dangerous enough so that he had no need to voice his threats...after all...

Actions always did speak louder than words.

And he was intimidating enough without even really appearing dangerous, but one look into those flashing golden eyes was enough to send even the bravest of men/youkai running away with their tails between their legs. Unless of course it was InuYasha… but then he wasn't the brightest crayon in the box… or the sharpest knife in the drawer… or the...

InuYasha!

Kagome’s eyes brightened suddenly hoping against all odds that the raging hanyou would come to save her, Tetsusaiga (maybe that was the sharp knife…) in hand, swinging it madly at his oh-so ‘beloved’ brother and he would save her like a shining knight to a…

She paused and waited.

No InuYasha...

Could they still be caught in the battle with Naraku?

Did they even know that she was stuck in her own time with InuYasha’s homicidal and sociopathic half-brother?

A psychopathic, dangerous, cold, merciless, ningen-hater, FULL BLOODED YOUKAI of a half-brother?!

"We'resorta500yearsinthefuturewhereI'mfromandtherearen'tanydemonsanymoreandiftherearethey'vedisguisedthemselvesashumansorsomething." Kagome drew in a deep breath, carefully watching the stoic expression on the taiyoukai’s face, hoping that for once it would be replaced by curiosity or surprise. No such luck.

If he was surprised, or didn't believe her, he sure didn't show it...but then again, he never showed ANY sort of emotion...Maybe he didn't understand me? Kagome wondered, although with his acute hearing he most likely had and besides...she really didn't want to repeat that again...

"Miko, I told you to cease your babbling and tell me." Sesshoumaru said coldly. All he had heard the tangle of words that barely explained his situation… not that he wanted to hear it again but it seemed so farfetched...that he had to hear it again.

Kagome took a deep breath.

"We're… 500 years in the future where I'm from,” So far so good… “And there aren't any demons anymore. And if there are, they disguise themselves as humans or something." Kagome said in the steadiest voice she could muster. She looked up once more at Sesshoumaru, hoping to see some kind of reaction...

"...I sense no lies..." was all Sesshoumaru said, the school girl became so relieved that he believed her and not all things coming from the taiyoukai would end in bloodshe-...and then his eyes narrowed, "Now Miko, you will take me back to MY time, before I decide to end your worthless ningen life."

Alright, maybe things WERE going to end in bloodshed.

"Don't you think I would have if I could?" Kagome snapped angrily slightly surprised with her own courage, "Do you think I want to have you here in my own time where you could quite possibly kill thousands of innocent people! I don't think so! I'm sorry to say LORD SESSHOUMARU BUT WE'RE STUCK!"

… Now that felt good. Or at least the shouting did, not the cold golden stare that had replied itself with her screamed statement.

"You will not speak to me in that tone of voice wench." Sesshoumaru growled inwardly wincing at the sudden volume increase of her voice, that annoyed his delicate hearing. So damn loud, just like his brother.

"I'LL SPEAK TO YOU HOWEVER THE HELL I WANT TO!" Kagome shouted ignoring the growl, "WE'RE IN MY TIME NOW BUSTER SO YOU BETTER-" Kagome was instantly silenced when Sesshoumarus growl became louder, more feral and evident. She clamped her mouth shut and swallowed. Oh shit...

"I better what? Do you, a mere ningen DARE assume to give this Sesshoumaru orders?" Sesshoumaru snarled, he should kill the rude bitch. NOBODY spoke to him like that and lived… but killing her meant he might just lose his only way to return to his own time.

"G-G-Gomen Nasai." Kagome managed to choke out, this wasn't InuYasha, the slightly trusted hanyou she could just shout 'SIT' at to restrain him.

…WHY was the whole generation of the male Inutaisho family BASTARDS?!

Maybe she should just go back to screaming...

No, the taiyoukai of the West could kill her with out a moment’s hesitation. And there wouldn't be a damn thing she could do about it.

How did I get myself into this mess! Kagome thought, she looked around realizing at last that they were still at the base of the well. Maybe if they...

"Sesshoumaru, can you help me out? Maybe if we jump back into the well it might work." Kagome squeaked as Sesshoumaru’s eyes narrowed.

"The old well...is the portal between your time and my own." It wasn't a question.

"Yes, it's how I've been getting back and forth for the past 2 years." Kagome said nodding, a slight frown graced her features as she remembered something, "But only InuYasha has been able to get through the well...so how did you-EEP!" Kagome screeched as Sesshoumaru reached out his arm and wrapped it around her slender waist, leaping out of the well.

"Cease your screeching miko." Sesshoumaru said coldly as he landed just outside the well, Kagome glaring at him.

"A little warning would have been nice!" Kagome hissed, she looked back down into the cause of this whole problem, "Alright, on the count of three we jump in together." She looked over at Sesshoumaru who merely nodded, "1...2...3!"

The pair leapt in...

And hit the earth...

… Now she knew what InuYasha felt when she sat him.

Kagome looked around and then back up, she didn't see the beautiful sky of the Feudal Era...

She saw the ceiling of the well house...

It hadn't worked.

SHIT!

"Miko, it seems your plan failed." Sesshoumaru said coolly from her right, Kagome looked over at him nervously. His expression was stoic as ever, but still...

"No, it didn't." Kagome said quietly as she tore her eyes away from Sesshoumaru and looked back up at the ceiling of the well house and then looked back over at him, "I guess I don't have much of a choice then..."she muttered, mostly to herself then to anyone else. Her gaze lowered to the ground and she bit her lip.

No choice at all...

She looked up, and stared directly into Sesshoumaru’s amber gaze, shivering slightly at the expectant glare. Talk about zero patience...

"Looks like until we figure out a way to get back, you'll be staying at my place." Kagome said airily, trying to keep the statement (and the raging thoughts in her mind) simple.

Oh yes, very simple indeed...

All she had to do was stop him from killing people, get him new clothes and well...stop him from killing people... and hiding his fluffy tail of course...

Those were good points, but the killing people one threat was definitely the most important.

"But first there are going to have to be some conditions..." Kagome said not even waiting for the taiyoukai’s response. She just hoped that Sesshoumaru would actually LISTEN to her...

Of course he would listen to her.

And after that her beloved Buyo would turn into Sango’s pride and joy (… besides her weaponry) Kirara and start flying.
