'Why...why her...' the words rang in Kagome's mind. 'Why Kikyou and not me...' she asked herself as she walked weakly with the tears gradually ran down her cheeks.

"Is this the fate I have to face?" She screamed out into the mountains as her knees fell onto the soft dirt and cried.

*****last night*****

"You What?" Miroku asked disbelievingly, "you couldn't have marked her! What about Kagome?"

"I...I don't know... I love Kikyou as much as I love Kagome..." Inuyasha looked to the ground with guilt. "I wanted to tell her."

"So..." Miroku started.

"You have to help me, Miroku,"

"You better hurry, Kagome is coming back any minute now." Sango mentioned worryingly.

Kagome looked at her friends. Distrusted with her own eyes and ears, she listened more into what they said. "I don't want her sad. I've been going out these nights and..."

"And just how long, Inuyasha...have you been visiting Kikyou?" Miroku asked.

"Four months..." Sango answered sadly.

"Sango, you KNOW this?" Sango can only cover her face as Miroku questioned her.

Kagome couldn't stand this. 'Sango know this for four months, and she didn't tell me a thing?" She stepped out of the bushes, trying to fight the tears building up in her eyes.

"Kagome!" Inuyasha turned to her direction.

"Kagome!" Sango looked shockingly as she tried to wipe her tears away...

"Sango...you know this?" She asked shakily.

"Please, Kagome, forgive me...." Sango pleaded as she starts to cry again.

"Kagome," Inuyasha said with deep sorrow, "Kagome, I....

"SIT! YOU MORON!" her tears began to flow out, "I thought you loved me..." After, she started to laugh hysterically, "but I guess I'm too dumb to realize that, aren't I? I've never realized it until now, look at me, aren't I dumb?" She started to laugh again, with her cry slowly taking its place

Sango look at her friend. She shook her head with disbelief.

"Sango, why didn't you tell me?" Kagome stared at her, "WHY DIDN'T ANY OF YOU TELL ME!"

"Kagome, please. Calm down," Miroku attempted to tries to quiet her.

"I DON'T CARE!" She yelled as her tears slide down her cheek.

"Kagome, please..." Inuyasha raised his head.

Kagome mind was sealed away into her own world. She started to run into the forest. "Kagome!" Inuyasha and Sango both hollered after her. She didn't care at that point, she was not in the mood of listening to them, neither. Her hand swayed at the branches as she datred through the woods. Until she tripped over a log and was sure that Inuyasha wasn't behind, she broke down into a sob that can be heard from miles away

*****end flashback*****

Kagome sniffed and wipe the tears away. She has never been like this before, nor has she been away this long. All she wanted to do now is to sleep and leave all her trouble behind for now. No collecting shards, no more Shippo getting bullied.

'Just a little while,' she thought to herself, 'just....a.....little...' Lying on her back in the grass, she cried softly until she drift off into a light doze.

Sesshoumaru watched in the distance while Kagome cried herself to sleep. He didn't know how to react, but to stare at the beautiful figure in front of him.

'I will not allow myself to fell for Inuyasha's wench!' he told himself. He continued to watch her shift in her sleep. Her smell is drawing him nearer and nearer towards the sleeping beauty. Kneeling down beside her, he breathed deeply and smiled at her peaceful face.

"No," Kagome whimpered in her sleep, "please, don't leave me." She rashes around and began to breath quicker.

Sesshoumaru couldn't help but leaned his head down beside her ears. "I'm right here, my dear Kagome." He whispered. Her breathe calmed as she wiggled closer to him. He smirked slightly, gently lay her down on the earth, and left.
