Kagome sat against a hard sturdy log. It was nighttime and the group had decided to stop. Inuyasha surprisingly agreed and everyone had let out a breath that they didn't know that they had been holding. Everyone had pitched in and got everything to make the camp nice and cozy while Inuyasha went to get some food. Recently they had unfortunately run out of Ramen, and so it was Inuyasha's duty to get something for them to eat until Kagome had gotten more.

Kagome sighed once again and looked up to the starry sky. Inuyasha was taking a really long time, and Kagome knew because her stomach made sounds. Blushing Kagome looked at the direction that Inuyasha went. Kagome got up attracting the attention from her other friends. "I'm going to go look for Inuyasha. Maybe he had a lot of stuff to carry so it's taking him longer."

Everyone nodded while Kagome went of to search for Inuyasha. There was not a sound in the forest except for Kagome's feet crunching the autumn leaves, which had fallen earlier or a while ago. Kagome whistled to pass the time. "Inuyasha!" she hollered into the forest

Coming up she saw a barrier. A light pink barrier and she ran up to it walking through it without any problems. What she didn't know was that there was rustling in the bushes behind her. Kagome kept on running until she saw two figures. One figure had long silver hair, and the other had black hair, which limped on the persons back. Kagome strained to hear the conversation.

"Kikyo I love you..."

"What about my reincarantion?"

"She means nothing to me."

Kagome brought a hand up to her mouth. "INUYASHA HOW COULD YOU?" shouted Kagome

Inuyasha looked up from Kikyo and looked over at Kagome. His eyes narrowed and he walked a few steps away from Kikyo to Kagome. "How?"

"Yes Inuyasha how could... you do this to me?"

"Wench you are nothing to me. You are stupid. Your clothes are too small. You can't shoot an arrow. You always need help..."

"I can try harder for you Inuyasha..."

"No you can't Kagome because you are just a stupid shard detector. You are just someone who can find the jewel shards for me... nothing more. I don't like you at all. I only kept you around was because you had the other half of Kikyo's soul, but you have managed to make it dirty."

Kagome turned around and ran. She ran past all the bushes and twigs, passing by trees. The branches scratched at her skin making small bruises and making the blood pour out freely. Kagome just kept on running. Suddenly rain started to drizzle. At first it was light, and it continued to get harder and harder.

She ran and the forest cleared coming to a cliff. It was dark and rain pelted on her back. Kagome slowed down and stopped at the edge. Looking down she saw a black abyss. An image of Shippo, Sango, Miroku, Inuyasha, and Kikyo appeared in her mind. He mind flashed with all the happy moments with Inuyasha, and all the times he made her sad. She remembered all the times that Miroku grabbed her, and Sango comforted her and joked around.

Ah yes she remembered the times Shippo made her laugh and all the fun times she had with him. "What did I do wrong Inuyasha? What is wrong with me? Why does no one like me?"

Kagome stopped wishing someone would answer her. When no one did she just continued to talk. "Inuyasha was right. I can't protect myself. I can't do anything by myself. Maybe I'm just not meant to live. To cherish all the happy memories that many do."

There was rustling behind her, but Kagome just continued to ignore it and talk. "What's the use of me being here? I am just a worthless shard detector. Inuyasha was right."

Once more there was rustling but someone stepped out this time. Kagome was fed up and turned around to end up gasping. It was Sesshomaru. Kagome could only help but wonder what he was doing here? He's probably here to see me die a most painful death. "What are you doing here Sesshomaru?"

"You might think that... but I don't..."

"What? What are you talking about?"

"I think that the worthless half breed of mine lost someone dear to him."

Kagome looked back to the edge of the cliff. It was daring her to jump, but something was holding her back at the same time. Kagome didn't know what do. She just dropped to her knees and started to sob in her already wet hands.

Sesshomaru looked at the girl. She used to be strong, and happy, nothing would bring her down, but now she was... crying letting out all the pain that she felt. Sesshomaru slowly made his way to Kagome. He went to his knees embracing her. "Kagome... do you really wish to kill yourself?"

"I have no... reason to stay..."

"What about me?"

This was a one - shot. Well kind of. So what do you think? Tell me! Thanks!
