Kagome and Souta's Devastating find

Shadow15*: I have had this idea in my head for a long time now. I hope it turns out as good as it was in my head! I hope that you like it!! *I really didn't want to kill Kagome's mom and grandpa, but the way that I want the story to go, I had to!!*

Summary: Souta goes home after school and finds his mother and grandfather dead. He runs to the god tree and climbs up to the branches so he could hide. Kagome and Inuyasha come to the future to restock her huge yellow bag and finds her mother and her grandfather on the floor dead and bloody. Inuyasha finds Souta and takes both of them to the feudal era. Kagome, Shippo, and Souta find Rin after a big fight with Inuyasha. She is alone and Sesshomaru is nowhere in sight. Kagome and Souta's devastating Find

Chapter one

Kagome and Inuyasha were going to the future to restock her huge yellow backpack. Just when they touched the bottom of the well, Inuyasha growled loudly. Kagome looked at him worriedly. "What's wrong Inuyasha? What is going on?" she asked loudly.

"I smell blood. We have to go and see what happened. Get on my back. We'll get there faster." he said quickly. Kagome nodded and got on his back. Inuyasha raced out the door and ripped the front door open. Kagome looked over his shoulder and was in total shock.

Her mother and grandfather were lying on the floor with a bullet in their head. They were bloody and looked like they were trying to protect each other. Kagome was sobbing loudly now because what had happened finally set in. "Mamma...Grandpa... who could have done this to you? Oh kami, where is Souta? Where is my little brother??!!" she said through her sobbing.

Inuyasha came up to where Kagome was and wrapped his arms around her. "I could look for him outside, I need to get you away from here. I don't want anything to happen to you." he said softly.

Inuyasha led the now emotionless Kagome outside to the god tree. He let her sit down and wrapped her in his fire rat haori. He could hear the sound of crying near by. "Souta, come out. No one is going to hurt you." he said loudly. Souta climbed down from the branch that he was in. "Is oneesan alright oniichan?" he asked after a long time of staring off into space.

"What happened runt?" Inuyasha asked softly." Souta looked at him hopelessly. "I don't know what happened. I came home from school and found them like this. We don't have anywhere to go now." he said despairingly. "Of course you have somewhere to go runt. We are all going to go to the feudal era and are staying there!" Inuyasha exclaimed.

Inuyasha picked up Souta and went over to Kagome. He picked her up and raced to the well house, jumping down the well. Inuyasha jumped out of the well, holding a wide eyed Souta and an emotionless Kagome.

Kirara could smell Kagome and ran to the clearing with the well. Sango, Miroku, and Shippo saw the way she was running and knew that Kagome and Inuyasha were back. "Kagome-sama!! Who is that with you?" Miroku asked. Kagome didn't answer him. She just looked at him with cold, emotionless eyes.

"What's wrong with Kagome, Inuyasha? What is wrong with my little sister?!!! Tell me!!!" Sango demanded loudly. "This is her little brother Souta. They are here because their mother and grandfather are dead. Kagome cried at first, then she looked like this. This isn't normal for Kagome at all. She's acting like my fucking half brother Sesshomaru!!!" Inuyasha said loudly.

"We should take her back to Kaede's. We can try to get her to react to us, we are all she has left." Sango said to the group. They nodded and walked toward Kaede's hut. Inuyasha called her outside to take a look at Kagome. "Oi baba! Come and look at Kagome!! I want to know if you can get her to have emotions again. If not, we have to find another way to do it." he said gruffly. Kaede came out of her hut and looked at the emotionless Kagome.

"I can do nothing for her Inuyasha. She is hiding her emotions within herself. She has to come to terms with what happened on her own." Kaede said sagely. Inuyasha looked at her angrily and yelled "This is just great. What are we going to do now? We need Kagome to find the shards!!! She's the jewel detector!!"

Kagome could hear everything that they said. They didn't know this though. She couldn't believe that after all they had been through, he would just call her a jewel detector. She could understand that he didn't like her, after all she looked like Kikyo. Every time he would look at her, she knew he saw Kikyo and what he could have had with her.

Inuyasha tried to get her to talk to him, anything that will make her show emotion. He picked on Shippo, he said that she is worthless. He tried anything to rile her up and make her show an emotion, even if it was anger. It didn't work at all. She turned away from him and 'sat ' him.

"You bitch!!! I really am getting tired of your games!!! We need to find the jewel shards before Naraku does!!1 Do you even care??? Feh. I'll just go and find Kikyo, She's better and prettier than you in every way. She'll help me find the shards!" He yelled to her Kagome's face. Souta came up to Inuyasha and glared. "She was right, you are a bastard. I didn't want to believe it, but now I see the truth. You should just go back to the clay pot and stay with her!! We will find the jewel shards on our own without you! Kagome is prettier than Kikyo!! Kikyo is just a clay pit that wants revenge. She'll use anyone to get it. You know how I learned all of these details? I read my sister's diary. She writes everything in it." he said angrily.

Inuyasha looked wide eyed at Souta. "You don't know anything, kid Kikyo loves me. She wouldn't do anything to me!" he yelled. He ran out of the hut looking for Kikyo. "Than kami he's gone. It felt like I was going to kill him for insulting Kagome." Sango said softly. Miroku came up behind Sango and put an arm around her waist.

"Yes, I felt the same lady Sango. rub rub grope grope. "You stupid hentai!!" Sango yelled and slapped him hard across the face. Miroku fell to the ground, with a dazed look on his face. "It was worth the pain." he murmured to himself.

Sango looked around the room and gasped. The pervert and herself were the only ones left in the room!! She shook Miroku out of his daze and looked at him worriedly. "Where's Kagome houshi-sama? She was just here!!" Miroku looked around the room and noticed Kagome's yellow backpack was missing. "I think she left to find the jewel shards on her own Sango." he said with worry in his voice. They knew that Kagome was in no condition to travel on her own, they had to find her fast.

"Where are we going Kagome?" Souta asked softly as he stepped over tree roots. "We are going to get the shard that I sense." Kagome answered coldly. Shippo and Souta shivered at the tone of her voice. They knew it would be a long time or possibly never that she will go back to her bubbly, happy person she was.

Rin was alone and hungry. Jaken had deserted her when they were supposed to be going back to Sesshomaru-sama's castle. She heard a rustling noise and was cautious. She didn't want it to be wolves because she was terrified of them. "Who.. Who's there? Is it you Jaken-sama?" she asked with a quavering voice. "Heh. Look at what we have here. Should I eat this little nigen girl or should I keep her for a pet?" a loud scratchy voice said.

Rin knew that this 'thing' would kill her so she started to run and called for someone to help her. "Someone help me!! I just want to get home!!" she yelled frantically. Kagome, Souta, and Shippo were coming to the clearing to where Rin and the demon was. "Do you hear that Kagome? Someone's calling for help!! We have to help whoever it is!!" Shippo and Souta yelled. Kagome knew the voice of the person calling for help. She heard the voice yelling at Jaken to hurry up. "Wait a minute, the only child that travels with Jaken is Rin!! Hold on Rin!! I'm coming!" she said loudly.

Rin had tripped on a tree root and was very frightened. The demon smiled and said "Time for lunch!! I just love humans!!" Kagome got to the clearing just in time and shot him with a purifying arrow. He turned to dust and a bright pink light scattered it to the winds. Rin looked up and saw Kagome, Shippo, and Souta. "Kagome-Okaasan! I have missed you so much!! Why haven't you come to visit me?" She squealed and attached herself to Kagome's leg. Kagome smiled faintly. "I haven't come to see you recently because I have been so busy Rin-chan. Do you want to meet two people that you can play with?" she said softly. Rin nodded her head enthusiastically. "Yeah! I want someone that will play with me instead of run away and hit me like Jaken-sama does.

"Hi Rin!! I'm Shippo and this is Souta. Do You know how to play tag?" Shippo said from behind Kagome's legs. Rin looked at him quizzically. "What's tag? How do you play it?" she asked wanting to know if it was a game. "Come on, let's go to the field! We'll show you how to play it!" Souta said and pulled Rin and Shippo to the field.

Kagome walked over to the base of the nearest tree and sat down. She watched as the three children chased each other around. They played tag for about thirty minutes and came over to where Kagome was saying that they were tired. Five minutes later, they curled up to her and fell asleep.

Kagome could sense that someone was watching her. "Come on out. I know that you are there." she said loud enough for anyone to hear. Sesshomaru stepped out of the shadows and looked over to Rin. "Why is my ward here wench? And where is my stupid half brother?" he asked coldly.

Shadow15*: Ooh I wonder what is going to happen to Kagome? I personally like when she isn't so weak. In this fic, she is not going to take any of Inu's shit!!! I hope that you like it so far...I'll update more with more reviews!! No flames please!!! Tsuki responds harshly to them.
