Hopeless Running

"The Girl." Sesshomaru demanded I be handed over to him.

"No Chance in hell." Inuyasha smiled, his normal smile. I rolled my eyes with wonder of why Sesshomaru wanted me.

"You owe me younger brother."

"I owe you shit!" Inuyasha decided that it was time to battle. He shoved me back and I landed with an 'omf' on my back.

"Be delicate with my payment for your protection."

"Pro-" I was being shut up by some young girl. I blinked in confusion as she reassured me with her warm smile.

"Sesshomaru-sama... Do you want..." The young girl was a human, but who in their right mind would stick around Sesshomaru? I blinked again, with the world spinning with confusion.

"Inuyasha, don't be daft. Don't lie to your girl. Tell her why I'm taking her. Don't be an idiot again like you were a hundred and fifty years ago." He snorted and gazed at me.

What in the world am I doing? I ran. I knew it was pointless but the best of me got to me. I was in fear, not regular fear, but mortal fear. I stopped. No one was behind me. Not even the little girl. I headed back for where I was only to find the two men waiting for me.

"Miko...Did Inuyasha ever tell you the story of why he's been fearing me?"

"That's a load of Crap Sessh-"

"Do not interrupt me," Sesshomaru angrily glared down Inuyasha. Fear filled within me. I was very close to turn away until, "Don't you move." I froze. "When we were young, a regretful time in my life, we were close, very close..."

I blinked, prepared for nothing. Ready for everything.
