Sinjy Yo High by Amara-Sama

The Afternoon

Kagome shivered as she stepped out to her patio. She had barely gotten through the first few weeks of high school and had got a boyfriend. Staring up at the orange-ish sky of the afternoon, she sighed. If only Inuyasha didn't have to be so forcefull sometimes. They had only been out dating three times, and he had kissed her...hard...every time he saw her at school.

"I guess Sinjy Yo High is okay. Reasonable people hang out there," she muttered to herself. She knew she was telling a half-lie. Hitten was a hot guy, but his grades were average. Normally, in her hometown, most guys had straight A's. The only guy that had straight A's in her classes was Seshoumaru. Although Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru's younger brother, had B's most of the time, Kagome considered his family as a well-educated one.

A cold brush of wind passed her as she shivered more. She slid the patio door closed as she stepped inside her room. Closing the curtains on her window, she wondered what Sango and Miroku were doing right now. They had gone on a date practically every day now. They were the cutest couple around in school.

Kagome sighed. 'Why can't everyone be like that?' she wondered to herself, thinking. Wandering over to her desk, she picked up her little silver cellphone and looked at the cover. Shoving it into her right pant pocket. Scanning her room making sure it was neat, she closed the door and started through the hallway into the kitchen.

Suddenly, her cellphone started ringing. It was a private phonecall.

"Hello?" she answered, wondering who it would be.

"Hey, Kagome?" Inuyasha's voice was clear.

"Yeah?" she replied.

"Ever heard of Kikyou's party?" he questioned.

"Umm...yes. Althought-"

"Great. Let's go," Inuyasha interrupted.

"Inuyasha," she whined, "I've never BEEN to a party!! I have to focus on my homework!"

"Homework can be finished anytime Kagome! Your just like my brother, grades are everything. I'll pick you up," stated Inuyasha.

Kagome groaned. Grades were everything to her, her family was poor, and she needed to get into colledge, or even better, university. But she needed a scholarship. "You know grades are everything to me!! I'm not going," she complained. Why couldn't he see?

"Humph," he grunted. "Why can't you come? It'll be fun!"

"I can't." she stated simply.

"Why?"

"I just need that scholarship!"

"It can wait,"

"That darned party can wait!"

"Why are you so against me these days?"

"These days? This week you mean? You've been dragging me to all these parties! All these bars! My grades are coliding into B's!!!"

"Fine then. I'll go myself then. I don't mind if I find a party girl for myself," he added selfishly. The phone slamed.

Kagome stared at her cellphone. After saving the private phonenumber she slumped into the living room couch, made of wood. Her dad was probaly out drunk with his friends. "Boys these days," she murmured aloud. Souta was currently becomeing a bully. She wouldn't mind if she had the pleasure to punch the eye out of inuyasha's eye socket for what he had just said.

Grabbing a nutrition bar, she ran back to her room to complete her homework.
