Serenity Forever by Shikura Harunai

Chapter One

A stab of sorrow filled in her heart. She wasn't with her friends, and that was just the problem. Why did they leave me? She asked herself. I didn't do anything wrong. Or maybe she was just talking selfish. She didn't know how long she's been crying, but she knew she's been crying for a long time. Perhaps they just didn't like her anymore, she was complaining a lot the other day, and maybe that was the reason they left her. Can it be that Sango has left her too? What am I thinking, she thought, if InuYasha could leave me, she could leave me.

She sighed, finally standing up after many hours. Her legs were asleep. But she didn't care. She just walked, still crying, to the place she was very familiar with. She looked at the tree that she saw both in the Feudal Era and the modern world. She slid her hand down the place where InuYasha had been once fixed to. She smiled sadly. Yes, InuYasha, she thought, this is where I met you.

She then looked at the tree again, but she wasn't smiling. Also, InuYasha, she thought, this is where you and Kikyo parted. She then looked down at the ground. Then she realized that they took the jewel shards away from her. Oh great, she thought, now I can't even go home.

Then she sat there about how she couldn't go home anymore. What should I do now? She asked herself. How am I going to protect myself? Then in a blink of an eye, her mood changed. I don't need InuYasha, she thought, I could protect myself. She regained confidence at the very thought. Besides, I'm the one would could purify his ass if I wanted to. Her anger grew, but she settled down. Then she thought about getting more sacred jewel shards to go back home. The more she thought about home and school friends, she was getting over the situation slowly. Then she drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

He stood in the middle of a green field, looking into the blue sky. A snake demon was creeping behind him, and he knew it. As it was about to strike, not more than a second later, the snake demon was ripped into pieces. He knew that if any demon came after him, or attempted to fight him, that demon wouldn't come back out alive in one piece. He then walked back to where his companions were, and told them that they were going to leave.

They walked and walked until they came to the end of the green field. He was looking for one thing, and it was Naraku. Naraku had attempted to devour his demonic powers, but failed many times. And he knew that Naraku would never succeed. A hanyou would never succeed in defeating me, he thought, and InuYasha would never succeed in defeating me.

He was in deep thought about something, until a little girl called out his name, "Lord Sesshoumaru, is something wrong?"

Shikura: Not done. Still working. Send reviews.
