Spear of Light by Phantom Magician

Chapter One

A spear of light lit up the mirrored room. A key turned in the lock and a girl with shoulder-length black hair stepped through the door, adding light to the spear lancing across the room and reflecting off the multiple mirrors. The young woman sighed and closed the door marked 'Higurashi School of Dance'.

She shrugged the dance bag on her shoulder to the ground, sliding off jeans to reveal a short dark blue dance skirt and sliding out of her large hoodie to reveal a short sleeved, light blue dance top. She opened the bag and withdrew a pair of toe shoes. Lacing them up and standing, she walked over to the stereo set in the corner and pushed the play button, hurrying to her place in the center of the room.

The background music to Once Upon a Dream floated through the air.

The girl began to dance, floating through the air.

Half way through, just before where the male partner was supposed to jump in, tinkling bells singled that someone had entered. The girl ignored it, continuing to dance. Her eyes slid closed and she spread her arms in the pose where her male partner should step in.

Someone did.

A man gently grasped her wrists from behind and danced with her. A man with silver hair that shone in the light of the just-rising sun. When they slid into the ending pose and the song ended, she spun to face him.

"Hello, Kagome."

The young woman's eyes widened and she threw herself at the man.

"Sesshoumaru!" She cried, tears sliding down her cheeks as she hugged the man like a lifeline.

"Kagome." He whispered, burying his nose in her hair and clutching at her with equal intensity. After a moment he pulled back and stared at her. Then he crushed his mouth to hers in a bruising but sweet kiss.

When he pulled back they both were panting.

"I waited 500 years to do that." He said between pants.

"I thought you had died..." she whispered as she smiled through her tears.

"Nothing could have killed me after I found out I could see you again." He whispered roughly, pushing his forehead against hers.

"Aishiteru, Sesshoumaru..."

"Aishiteru, Kagome." He whispered, lowering his lips to hers in a passionate kiss...

Authors Note: To those that are probably going to be confused, this was one of those return scenes where Kagome gets sent to the future again and Sesshoumaru lives to love her in the future. ^.^;; This little thing has been haunting me for a while and I wanted to get it out.
