Mistaken Captive by ChikaSuzuki

Prologue - Awakening.

This is just a short, very short lead into the story, juat so I could explain what was going on before switching off onto a different setting. So, enjoy the short bit I have!

Dark, why was everything so dark? She knew her eyes were open, but yet as she blinked the lighting never changed.

On top of the darkness it was cold, she was on a bare floor, cement, or very hard dirt. A rock dug into her side, and another into her knee, but she ignored it.

She pressed her fingertips and palm against a cold wall, leaning against it, before finally noticing the wet, sticky substance down near her leg. She moved her leg in an attempt to get away from it, and immediately realized where it had come from. Pain shot through her leg, causing her to cry out.

It was blood, not just any blood, her own blood.

She relayed the situation through her mind, over and over again, and yet she could not figure out what had happened, how had she gotten here?! Not understanding what was going on was sending her into a near panic attack. She forced her breathing to calm and once again, analyzed what had happened.

InuYasha, Sango, and Miroku had all been there. Kikyou was there as well, but she was fighting along side them, helping them fight against a pack of bear demons. They had been winning, she recalled, but things got blurry. Some, a demon she assumed, growled and said Kikyou's name, but then she had felt a dull thud over her head and everything went black.

And now here she was, in some room, in some building, in some land. Kagome couldn't even tell if it was night or day!

Resigning herself to a long heave of a sigh she lay back down on the chilled floor. There was nothing she could do but wait this one out. The mighty Kagome had no power this time. Everything was in the hands of her captor whoever that was.

She rolled onto her side, doing her best she could to keep comfortable, with a sore, bleeding leg, and rocks digging into her side. She shut her eyes, forcing herself to sleep; she would have to rebuild her strength, just in case danger awaited her when she awoke.

I warned it was short. It's merley a start and a bit of background info. More to come! I promise!
