The First Kiss
It was a late September afternoon when Kagome tried for the second time to patiently ask Inuyasha to go home. 'I'm not sure how long I can be patient with him,' Kagome thought to herself. 'Why won't he just let me go home?!'
"Inuyasha, please, just for one week?" She asked again. "You heard what I said. . . NO!" Kagome growled at that. "Inuyasha, I'm sorry, but you can't keep me here forever. Sit boy!" Inuyasha caught one last glance at her before he went face first into the ground. He moaned, "Why do you do this to me?" Kagome looked back, "You only do it to yourself Inuyasha."

Kagome's POV
'Oh Inuyasha; why can't you just see how much I care for you?' She sighed 'I just want you to love me the way you loved Kikyo. You could never love me like her, after all she is dead.' She gave a dry laugh. "Why can't I be more than just a shard detector to him? Why can't he love me? Oh Inuyasha." She thought out loud. She was surprised to hear Inuyasha's voice. 'Shit, why hadn't I felt his aura coming?!' Kagome thought. 'How the hell am I supposed to explain this one?' She hadn't even noticed she had tears streaming down her cheeks.

"What is it now Inuyasha?" She asked him with annoyance in her voice. Inuyasha looked down to the ground, avoiding eye contact. "Kagome I – I..." the rest of the sentence was broken when he kissed Kagome.
Inuyasha licked at her bottom lip asking for entrance. He was overjoyed when she opened her lips, allowing his entrance.
As they broke away from the kiss, in desperate need for air, she looked into his beautiful amber eyes. 'WOW! ' Inuyasha thought as he looked into her now blue eyes hazed with a Smokey color. She opened her mouth as to say something, but no words would come out. "Inuyasha, I don't know what to say. You aren't regretting it are you?" Kagome asked worriedly. Inuyasha never got a chance to answer her.
Suddenly Kagome felt a pair of eyes on her, so she had to cover up. "Inuyasha... SIT!" She yelled weakly, but he saw the regret in her eye before he crashed to the ground. "Now I'm going home, my mother asked that you come with me, and I suggest you do just that." Kagome finished off with a hint of anger in her voice.
Inuyasha growled as he got off of the ground. Kagome jumped through the well, and Inuyasha followed.

"Kagome..." he growled dangerously as he saw the hanyou kiss his Kagome. He had been watching Kagome carefully the past few months. His plan was almost ready to be put into action. 'Soon, my dear Kagome, we will be together forever! ' "Kukukuku." Suddenly he heard footsteps behind him, "Naraku, everything is set." Kagura informed him. "Kagome will return in one week; our plan will take action a month after her return." He informed her, smiling mischievously.

In the Well House in Kagome's Time
"Kagome! What the fuck..." Inuyasha began to ask her, but as soon as he jumped out of the well, his lips met with hers for a quick chaste kiss. "What was that for?" Inuyasha asked after a while. "It was an accident", she said blushing at her stupid mistake for not moving away from the well. "Why the fuck did you sit me?!" He asked hiding his disappointment. "I did it because I felt someone, or something watching us, and we can't let anyone think that I am any thing other than your shard detector. She replied. Inuyasha winced at the venom in her voice. "Kagome why were you crying when I came after you back there?" Inuyasha asked remembering. Kagome consciously reached up to her face, where the wetness still remained. "Why do you even care?" Kagome shot back.
"I heard what you were saying when I was coming towards the well," Inuyasha began hesitantly, "Why didn't you tell me you felt that way?" He finished. Kagome glared at him, and I mean if looks could kill, then he would be dead and buried. "What the hell did you want me to say?! 'Oh yea Inuyasha by the way, before I go I just thought you should know, I love you. Now we can live and forget about the danger we go through everyday, and we can forget Kikyo ever existed!' I don't think so Inuyasha there was nothing to be said." She told vehemently him as she held back the sobs that were willing their way through.
"Kagome - but..." he started, before Kagome interjected. "No Inuyasha, because in all reality, you weren't even kissing me! You were imagining Kikyo there! I'm going back to the Feudal Era with you, and we can pretend like we never went through any of this; the kiss, this argument, it never..." Inuyasha growled, "God damn it, would you just stop this?! We can't pretend like it never happened, because it did! WE KISSED, and weather you like it or not I liked it, and I'm pretty damn sure you did to!"
Kagome laughed a dry laugh. "Inuyasha, we can't do this. You have always thought of me as nothing more than shard detector. Even if there was a chance that you could love me; can you honestly tell me that you will never go to Kikyo again?" she waited, "that's what I thought, now come on Inuyasha, lets go." She said holding back her tears.

"Ohhhhh! Sango when is Kagome and Inuyasha coming back?" Shippo asked worriedly.
