Dazed and Confused by tarahloveshentai

Scroll 1: Traveling Riverside Blues

The day had seemed to drag on and on for Kagome and everyone but luckily nightfall had finally come. They set up camp in a forest next to a spring in a nearby village. They had been going on a lead that Naraku had a new pawn holding 3 Shikon No Tama shards. But as always no luck just another rumor.

Kagome sighed as she sat along the campfire with Shippo nestled in her arms and Sango next to her holding Kirara, and Miroku sitting very close to Sango. InuYasha sat in the tree that was closest to her sleeping bag as always.

She didn't feel so good and not only that InuYasha seemed to be angry that they got led on a false lead and was mostly mad at her. Kagome smiled as Shippo yawned, "Looks like some ones ready for some shut eye huh?" Shippo nodded tiredly she walked over to her sleeping bag, layed down and made sure Shippo was comfy.

This always seemed to be the cue for lights out; the others also went to their sleeping bags.

After a couple hours she couldn't take it. 'I can't sleep when I almost feel guilty, and I think I have a cold to boot.' She slowly made it out of her sleeping bad making sure not to wake the kit.

Kagome looked up at the black star-lit sky and smiled 'its always so beautiful here at night. And even better where near a spring!' Which made her hurry over to it. She went all the way to the shore and sat as she watch the steam rise into the cold night air.

'Oh why dose he always seem to get mad at me for it?! It's not my fault we got a false lead.... its not my fault that sick bastard loves to play around with us so much.' She stared out across the water that reflected the moon and stars.

"So beautiful..."she whispered. She would never see something as beautiful in her own time. Kagomes eyes flashed as she noticed something in the sky. It was one of Kikyou's soul catchers.

"Oh no. ...Onegai not her...not now..." she didn't even bother standing up there was no reason too. All she felt was anger and sadness.

She didn't hate Kikyou she just didn't get why she wouldn't just pass on.

"She says that InuYasha must go to hell with her so they can pass on, but inuYasha's not dead and he never has. She sealed his fate to the God Tree that day all those years ago. I know I seem selfish but she won't move on because of the vow she now has to kill Naraku....why dose InuYasha always leave and acts like im not even here when she calls out for him... and when he comes back and im angry he acts like nothing had happen....its almost no use but I cant help it...whe-.."

"Why do you care for him so much?"

Kagome froze as she herd the familiar cold voice. She slowly turned to see if it was whom she thought, she gasped in horror and confusion, as there stood the Lord of the Western Lands SesshouMaru. She had to blink a few times to make sure and it was not just her cold gone into a fever.
