A Betrayal Written In Blood by Accidentally Discharged

hate

She could hear it. Their heartbeats. Her child was alive as was she; another arrow flew by her head thrusting her back to reality. She struggled to lift her now 6 month pregnant self from the ground. Inu Yasha had turned into his full youkai form and attacked her with his claws and teeth left welt and gashes all over her body but mostly her stomach as he tried to kill his own pup. He did it all for Kikyou.

'He betrayed me, he betrayed you too' she thought to herself and her unborn pup. It had all been a lie, his love was a lie, and he had made a wish on the Shikon no Tama for her to become a hanyou like himself. That was her one flaw, forgiveness for his unwanted wish. She turned to Inu Yasha and Kikyou. Sadnesss was evident but hidden under dark veils of hate seething from her limping form.

"How could you, Inu Yasha how could you try to kill your own son." She screamed lifting her arrow and bow toward the disgusting couple. She frowned at the thought of killing the person she ever really the loved. 'It has to be done or he'll kill me and my son.' Tears trailed down her face stinging the cuts amongst her jaws and cheeks.

"You mean nothing and that child means nothing." Inu Yasha whispered. "YOU CAN'T MEAN THAT!!!" she screamed aiming the arrow right toward Kikyou who stood right behind Inu Yasha. "But he does my little reincarnation; you've been nothing but a pawn our little plan to give me a real body, YOUR BODY" Kikyou sneered at Kagome laughing hysterically. She became ill with the thought of Kikyou using her body. 'He mated with me, because he wanted Kikyou to have my body and he turned me into a hanyou so Kikyou could live as long as he did, he never loved me!!' "I LOVED YOU, I'M YOUR MATE, AND I CARRY YOUR CHILD!" The arrow flew from her hands digging deeper through Inu Yasha's chest right through his back and into Kikyou. Blood and flesh sprayed across the snow covered field where the well had been and dressed the tree that had determined his fated 56 years ago in a sticky crimson liquid. Kagome fell to the ground and crawled over to Inu Yasha pure hatred blanketed his eyes. "You killed h-her you k-k-killed K-Kikyou, you mean n-nothing to me K-Kagome or y-your bastard s-son." He whispered as he spit up blood. "Son of a Bitch!" she cried as she ripped the arrow out of Kikyou's chest bone shoving it into Inu Yasha's heart repeatedly. He screamed in agony coughing up and spit curses at his mate. "Inu Yasha I hate you and your bitch Kikyou, I'm actually doing you a favor now you both rot in hell!!!" She watched his labored breathe blow mist into the air and with one last gap of air he died. "Goodbye Inu Yasha, I hope you know I really did love." She lowered her head to his and kissed him smearing blood across her face. She left him there with Kikyou as she had so many times before but this time she would not forgive him. She couldn't forgive him.

Keade walked down the path leading to the grave site of her sister and old friend. She had found their bodies three days after Inu Yasha had disappeared. He had died in his youkai form blood caked his body and the surrounding area. His lungs had been punctured many times; regret and surprise were easily read on his face. Kagome had visited the grave only once along with her son Kiyoshi this surprised Keade to no end. It was well known by all who saw them that Kagome loved Inu Yasha and would give her life to save him and yet she showed no remorse for the death of her mate. Their son Kiyoshi was the spitting image of his father Inu Yasha except for unusual markings he had inherited from his lineage of the Western lands.

"Keade-bachan, I thought something happened when you didn't come back to the village." Kagome had changed both emotionally and physically, she had bright yellow eyes as Inu Yasha had, her hair was jet black with a blue tint to it. Behind the young hanyou was Kiyoshi giggling at a butterfly which had land on a rock nearby. Kagome scolded the child but before she could retrieve him and ominous figure came from the shadows.
