Blue Moon,

You saw me standing alone

The wide expanse of the ocean stretched before me. I was standing on top of a tall, thin stretch of land that stood out in defiance against the sea. All alone.

Without a dream in my heart

without a love of my own

That was how I felt, Empty. I was without a comforting embrace, without a dream, without a love.

Blue Moon,

You knew just what I was there for

I had one purpose in my mind at that time. Jumping.

You heard me saying a prayer for

someone I really could care for

In one last desperate moment I yelled, "Kami, if you are there, send someone to me!" I heard nothing. One stray tear trickled down my lowered face. No one was coming.

And then there suddenly appeared before me

the only one my arms would ever hold

Stealing myself, I jerked my head up, and encountered an armored chest.

I heard somebody whisper, "Please adore me"

And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold!

Craning my neck, I saw your insignia upon your forehead, a blue crescent moon. Backing up, I saw your eyes. My mind registered "gold."

Now I'm no longer alone

Ever since you took me away from that lonely beach, my life has been filled with company. I have people who care.

Without a dream in my heart

without a love of my own

I now have a dream, a love. They are both one and the same. My dream is to live the rest of my days with you, my love.

If you hadn't been there, I would not be here today. If you hadn't held me by my shoulders and told me to cry, I would be confused and distraught. If you hadn't taken me to your home, I would be lost. If you hadn't squashed your pride... I dare not think of the consequences.

What I'm trying to say is this: if you weren't there, if you didn't care, I would be nothing. Basically, I love you.
