Give into Me...
A calm and quiet darkness blanketed the lush forest of fuedal Japan. Crickets and Fireflies chattered and flew about giving this oriental setting just the right mood. Kagome giggled as a firefly landed on her shoulder and blinked it's shiny abdomen on and off, "Oh Sango," she said to the woman next to her, "It's so magical tonight."
The slayer stopped petting the small neko in her lap, recieving a whine from it, and turned happy eyes towards Kagome, "It makes me want to forget all that has happened," she sighed. Kagome nodded and watched as the firefly took off into the night. Sango smiled and placed the purring Kirara by her side, "You know, Kagome..." she said, the young miko turned to her, "Yes?" she asked. Sango sighed and looked up at the many stars, "Sometimes I wish we would stop looking for the jewel," she confessed. Kagome looked down at the grass, "I know what you mean, everyday, I find myself wanting more and more just to leave the jewel and breath." Sango exhaled and adjusted her light pink kimono, "It caused us so much unhappiness, and most of us were innocent bystanders, not in search of the jewel or anything, what makes us think that we will be happy when it is completed," she said, Kagome listenend intently, 'Sango is very much right,' she thought.
The slayer stood up and stretched, "Who is going to use the jewel anyway? I doubt Inuyasha wants it anymore, after all that has happenend, and Miroku and I merely wish to destroy Naraku, for our families and all who have suffered." there was a slight determination in her voice that made Kagome proud, "You know what, its getting late, I'm heading back to camp," Kagome yawned, Sango nodded and stood up as well, "I need to take a bath, you make sure that hentai stays there o.k?" She asked jokingly, Kagome giggled and nodded, "Don't worry, I will, but hurry, it looks like it's going to rain soon," Kagome pointed up at the newly rolled in clouds, each with a threatening promise of water. Sango nodded, grabbed her extra pair of clothes and turned to the springs.
Kagome left the small neko and turned towards the direction of camp. She smiled at all the nature, 'I hope I can stay here forever, it is more primitive, but the air is so clean and all these beautiful animals roaming freely, the last time I saw these kinds of animals were at the zoo, but I also want to stay with Inuyasha, though he's too stubborn to admit liking me here,' she laughed at the little comment, just as the inviting fire of camp came into view, Kagome tripped. "Ow! What the?" she asked looking down, she saw that her shoelaces were untied (yes i know 'but kagome wears loafers' well... sheddep). She grumbled infrustration and kneeled to tie them, as she did, Inuyasha's voice could be heard, "I know! You people are always hassling me to choose, Kagome or Kikyo, Kagome or Kikyo! It's not that simple!" he yelled.
The fifteen year old tied her shoes and moved to a nearby tree to hear the rest of it, "But Inuyasha, if you don't choose their both likely to fall for someone else," Miroku's voice reasoned. Inuyasha scoffed, "Look, I...I love Kagome...," Kagome could feel her cheeks turn red, 'OH MY KAMI I CAN'T BELIEVE HE LOVES ME!!!' she squealed, she calmed herself down and listened, "But I love Kikyo, I love them both, but...but I think I'm gonna go with...Kikyo..." Kagome felt like she was slapped in the face she place a hand to her cheek and felt warm salty tears spill down her cheeks, "I want to be with Kagome...but I wall always know that Kikyo is out there somewhere alone and sad," he said Miroku spoke up, "But what about Kagome!? If you choose Kikyo, how will you know Kagome isn't out there alone and sad," you could hear Inuyasha shake his head, "She won't be, Kagome is beautiful and caring, it won't take her long to find someone new, I really want to be with her...but Kikyo..." he whispered.
Kagome slumped down and quietly sobbed, 'Why Inuyasha? I love you so much, can't you see that, can't you see that I would do anything to keep us together, and you want to be with me...but kikyo...KIKYO!!!!' Kagome felt a surge of pure anger swell from within her, 'Yes give in to me Kagome, give in...' a voice called, Kagome looked around, 'Who's there?' she asked frantically, 'I've been locked up for a long time, Kagome, but now you've set me free,' Kagome turned everywhich way, "I don't understand," she yelled, "Kikyo is in the way, she is ALWAYS in the way! Do you want to be happy?' it asked, Kagome was silent for awhile, 'I do. I really want to be happy,' she turned, fresh tears ran down her cheeks, 'Yes...I do...' she whispered, she turned in time to see something dark red fly at her and with that...all went black...
