Chapter 1: I WANT I WANT I WANT

A/N: this is the first fanfic I've done in a very very long time, so please be nice about it.

Chapter 1: I want I want I want

~Sesshoumaru's Palace~

Sesshoumaru signed yet another paper, a new law for the western lands thought up by the council of higher demons, the only voices he is suppose to listen to. He stood with a small sigh and decided that maybe he, Rin, and Jaken should go around his territorial boundries to watch for riots and what-not. Hopefully he would encounter his brother and his group of followers.

Sesshoumaru growled at the thought of his brother's friends following him around smiling and loving him like no other. They were all so annoying and different in everyway. The one holding them all together was that awkwardly dressed miko from who knows where. Where was she from anyway?

Sesshoumaru walked to the window and looked down. He easily spotted Rin and Jaken in the courtyard, Rin was currently standing on Jaken's head trying to grab some fruit from the only tree in the courtyard. She seemed to dance on his head in frustration before she started yelling for Ah-Un. The two headed dragon, surprisingly, came to her call immediatly and helped her get her fruit. Jaken, however, was squished under the dragon's claws.

Sesshoumaru shook his head and turned, his silvery hair seemed to float as he walked. He walked slowly down the halls, his head held high and his face held a bored look. This was before he smelled something very familiar. What was that stench? It was mixed with a sweet smell that he also found familiar....Ah it was his brother, InuYasha. What was he doing around here? He strode out the door and Rin quickly latched onto his leg.

"Jaken says to Rin that Rin never going to have a mommy again! Rin wants a mommy!" Rin said and burried her face in Sesshoumaru's tail. He sighed. She'd been going on about this for several weeks now. He shook his head.

"When I decide upon a mate you'll have a mother, but until then we are going to scout my lands. Jaken, Ah-Un, come." With that said Sesshoumaru followed his brother's stench and the sweet smell of his woman.

~InuYasha and the gang~

"InuYasha, you don't know for sure if it was Sesshoumaru who did it. I think it was Kikyo, you said there was no smell where my bag was last. Come on, I don't want to see your brother again, not after last time." Kagome said, last time Sesshoumaru had kidnapped Kagome and Sango, although they were given anything they wanted if they watched Rin, Kagome worried about Shippou the whole time they were there- a week.

InuYasha turned and snarled at her. "It wasn't Kikyo, ok?! Kikyo would never steal!"

Kagome scowled. "Oswari~!"

InuYasha fell hard and groaned. "Well now that InuYasha can't walk let us all have something to eat and drink before we continue." Kagome said in a cheerful voice and Shippou hopped out of her arms. "I'll get the fire wood!" He called out and ran into the forest.

It took only took a few minutes before they had a fire going and some Ramen cooking. At the smell of Ramen InuYasha couldn't complain, it was his favorite food after all. He sat with the others and waited for the food. Kagome hummed as she stirred the Ramen and didn't even jump as a loud Thunk was heard then a quiet Thump followed. She looked up to confirm her thoughts.

Miroku lay on the ground, out cold, and Sango was walking over to sit with Kagome and talk to her. Shippou was now in Kagome's lap curled up in a ball waiting for the food. Kirara was in InuYasha's lap, InuYasha petting her scowling at Kagome.

Kagome began to serve the Ramen and she made sure InuYasha was the last to recieve some, but he had the biggest bowl of it. Kagome didn't eat much and ended up giving InuYasha her left overs but he growled and made her eat, the baby needed food too.

She smiled at InuYasha's care of her pregnant state. She rubbed her rounded stomache and let Shippou feel the baby kick. Shippou's wide grin showed his happiness at having a new little brother. Kagome's last doctor appointment showed that it was definately male, and InuYasha's first son. She sighed everytime she remembered it was InuYasha's, since he hadn't marked her, and didn't plan too.

He was looking around right now. Kikyo's soul stealers were about and InuYasha wanted to go to her, Kagome knew this. "Go, if you want InuYasha." She nearly whispered. InuYasha looked at her, surprised. "I see that look in your eyes, the look I see whenever you're thinking about her. Go."

InuYasha's ears fell. "I'm sorry Kagome...it's just-"

"Its ok, Inu-chan, I understand. She was your first love, and you'll always want her back. You'll never forget her, besides I can't compete with the dead now can I? Go on, meet her, just don't do anything that'll piss me off, you hear me?"

InuYasha smiled and nodded, running off into the forest not even hearing Kagome's crying. Kagome cried in Sango's arms, Shippou held her stomache and Miroku scowled at the forest were InuYasha had left. Miroku followed InuYasha without anyone's notice. Kagome sobbed hard in Sango's arms, just as she had done many times before. InuYasha would always go to Kikyo, always see Kikyo in her, and that would hang over their heads even after their child was born.

Shippou had once thought InuYasha would end up his dad, but over the past six months he could see that InuYasha would never be a father for him or for his new brother. He would always be running after Kikyo.

~Sesshoumaru~

Sesshoumaru had seen the entire thing, and he didn't blame the girl for crying as she did. InuYasha truly didn't know what he did wrong and that just made Sesshomaru even more pissed than he already was. He shook his head and walked into the camp, causing Sango and Shippou to cry out in alarm.

Kagome looked and Sesshoumaru with sad eyes and just ignored him. Shippou hid behind her stomache and Sango stood with her Hirokotusu. "What do you want, Sesshoumaru?"

"Why do you stay faithful to him, girl?" Sesshoumaru asked Kagome, completely ignoring the other woman.

Kagome stood and turned to the side, holding Shippou to her and she smiled slightly. "He got be pregnant as you can plainly see. I just want my baby to know his father." Kagome didn't want to tell Sesshoumaru the truth. She loved InuYasha.

Sesshoumaru nodded. "When you have the child, bring him to me. Until I have my own pups, he will be my heir, as is the law of the West." Rin shot out past his feet and ran around Kagome's legs.

"Rin stop." Sesshoumaru said and Rin froze in place. "Do not run around these women, they are both with child." Rin looked at the taijia and the miko. "But, only this one looks pregnant, mi'lord!" She said, pointing to Kagome.

"The other has just begun her pregnancy now come here." Sesshoumaru said and Sango looked like she was going to faint. "B-but me and Miroku only once....no! Can't be!"

"Sango, it only takes once. Remember me and InuYasha? Not like I'll make that mistake again though. Wait! I can't bring my baby to see YOU!! You want to kill his daddy!"

Sesshoumaru scowled. "I want his 'daddy's' sword and I will kill him to have it, yes."

"MY child is NOT going ANYWHERE near YOU!!! You are a danger to his health. Come on Sango....Sango?" Sango was on the ground in shock. "Oh no..."
