Sesshomaru: A Feudal Twisted Tale by E Nomine

The Woman Who Overcame Time And The Man Who Was Overcome Part 1

Sesshomaru, A Feudal Twisted Tale

{Authoress}

A small strange, yet intimidating girl walked through a flourishing forest. She had a white dress on that was sleeveless and had slits to her mid thighs. She had on a white tie jacket that ended just beneath her breasts. The sleeves went to her wrists. She had on white pants similar to that of a miko's hakamas. Her hair was in a braid then put in a high ponytail. A weapon was held in her rough and calloused hands. On the bottom, there was a crescent shaped blade where the points curved towards the cloth covered metal handle. On the top, was a heart shaped blade, a bar coming from the top to the bottom. It was upside down so it was pointing upwards. Strapped to her side was a pure white sheath with a white handle sticking out if it. It looked very feminine. The girl had raven hair and sapphire blue eyes. On her feet were white boots. A scar that started half-an-inch above her eyebrow and ended at the middle of her throat made her look more appealing and like the war goddess many claimed she was. Her name? Kagome Higurashi.

{Kagome}

I kept my stoic façade up as I glided through the forest, looking eerily like a ghostly war maiden. I stepped out of the dreary place, looking into a small but peaceful village. A small pang shot through my heart. 'No one is here to greet me like always...' Groups of men and woman gathered around me, whispering.

" Who is she?"

" Is she a demon?"

" She may be a spy..."

" Perhaps a kitsune in disguise?"

" Nah, them foxes would never come into light like this,"

I snorted mentally to myself. 'Fools, I am none of those' I stepped up to the old miko's hut. I rapped sharply on the wall twice.

" Who are ye and what do ye wish of this old woman and her people?" Kaede stepped out. I was inwardly shocked. 'She has her other eye. How?'

" I am Kagome Higurashi. I am here to tell you the Shikon Jewel has returned and you will be seeing much more of me," I said simply before turning and leaving. I do not need to stay longer than necessary. I headed back into the forest, moving in a slightly different direction than the one I hailed from. I skillfully wielded my staff with two blades, which I called Kima, to clear a path to my destination. My sword was called Sukyra (Sue-Ki-Ra). It's powers were great, though I rarely used it unless in a battle with particularly powerful demons. Sukyra does not need to be stained with the blood of the petty and weak beings, both human and demon. I let my aura flare. He should awaken now. I sliced through yet another branch and continued moving, feeling the rosary in my pocket. I pulled out a flask and gulped it down. I hadn't had water in a few days, and it would not due for me to become dehydrated. I sat down, resting for no particular reason. 'It is best I save my strength for the upcoming confusion of the return of him. After all, it's been fifty years, ne?' I smirked slightly but faded into my stoic mask when Sukyra pulsed. 'What does my sword wish of me now? Not that I don't mind, she is often right than wrong' Lost sounds of strained laughter, memories of forced smiles, grudging respect, undying loyalty, relationships filled with doubts and worries, and many more things floated through my mind. I clenched my fist and stood. 'I am done here. Time to continue on' I continued in the same direction, intent on freeing the captive that was hidden there. I stepped into the clearing and nearly gasped, losing my composure before quickly regaining it, still shocked. 'No...it can't be...can it?'
