Reviews for Perception by Nefret

Beautiful writing! Elegant and composed, with a hint of what society in the future with demons would possibly be like. Fantastic work; I'm glad I stumbled upon it.

The more I read this story, and no matter how many times the labels are reiterated, I find myself forgetting you're talking about demons and humans, because the "contrast" you tackle is very current and applicable to stereotypes people suffer through today. It's almost like Sesshoumaru and Kagome are more the clothing on the body of your theme, there so we can relate to them but more of a vehicle to draw us in to something much deeper and more startling. Needless to say I'm in love with this story: it's provocation and its awakening heart. I agree with a previous post that your wording is very concise but impactive, each perfectly timed and measured. "Perception" is definitely a favorite for me.

Superlative. It is succinct, well-crafted and each word seems perfectly chosen and necessary to the tale. The concept is original and well presented. Good work.

Great job so far. Simplicity at its best. There's only one problem though. Every chapter is a tease! A tease I tell you! lol

Beautiful. It was a wonderful insight into differences, into the way others view each other and the fine line that divides us all.

I loved all three chapters and even though I would've loved to read more of their interactions, I'm happy with the way it ended (it is the end right? I'm assuming that's what you meant by "finis"?) ^_^ ;

I enjoyed every moment of this fic though. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful piece!!

Goodness, you've got me. Hook, line, and sinker.

Absolutely enthralling and wonderfully written. I love the way you write Kagome's interactions with Sesshoumaru. You never quite know what to expect.

I'm looking forward to reading more so update soon!

Oh, sweet lord, I'm hooked. Marvelous continuation of an amazing introduction. It's haunting...downright chilling how well you weave fear with desire in this chapter. I'm about as obsessed with Kagome, I think. I'm definitely excited for more.

Oh sweet Jesus, you can't end it there!!! Well, by all rights you *can*...but...*swasdiva pouts in the corner*

I may throw a tantrum that this may be a oneshot, but I'll also praise just how stunning a oneshot it is. With such a brief vignette you've captured a riveting intensity, teetering on the fine line of desire and fear, but ending with an action so simple it was tender and touching. What a mix you've got going! There's potential for a primal, animal attraction, so to speak, but also a mutual respect and love, not to mention a romance that's doomed to tragedy. I guess that's why I'd love to see this continued, because you've already built up infinite potential. Needless to say I loved this piece. Great stuff!

I love the beginnings of this story. It's structured well and the grammar/spelling is spot on :) Also, the story line pretty original considering that it takes place in present time and that it's Kagome who finds him injured by a tree, not Rin, which is a cute twist. I hope that you continue to write this story and any others you are planning to write! Keep up the awesome work and I hope you update soon.

:D
