Why not make each chapter about a new step/activity Sess must make/do, and how he grows as a person (becomes a more rounded person).

very good for a first chapter. your characteristic of kagome, and how she would feel, along with inu and Kikyo is very in character.

KUDOS to you for not making Kikyo out to be a bitch ( like the majority does), when she trully isn't.

I feel bad for Rin do, that is quite alot of emotional scarring for just a child. I hope she'll be ok eventually.

Kagome would seem like a good choice to help her, in a mothery big sister kinda way.
