So... I'm sniffling and crying right now and it's all your fault. But in a good way. That was more than beautiful, my friend. You hit so many chords with me, I can't list them all... But as an older sister with a younger brother about the same age distance between Kagome and Souta, I know the kind of connection and exactly what the relationship is. There's a kind of worship there. A kind of love that doesn't fade or ebb and you captured that in gentle glimpses throughout this story, especially in the last few lines of this chapter, exactly what that relationship is. You are EVIL! Getting us so interested in the prologue for "Like Silk" that now going back to TSNNAM will seem a distraction to the story we want to read. Wow, this was great. It's New Year's morning and the ball dropped but I was too busy catching up on my fics to notice. I refreshed the update page and there was my perfect gift for the night...YOU posted once again. Thank you so much. Souta is alive and home: safe. Kagome and Sesshoumaru are mated and she's getting answers to her questions. I feel very sad for InuYasha though. It is hard having those ears. My cat always hears things we don't and I am always inclined to check it out when her head pops up and she growls like a dog. So odd. I've never heard a cat growl as menacingly loud as this little 91/2 lb cat does. InuYasha needs to get some industrial ears plugs while he's there. They work wonders if you have a mate that snores and a mother who drops everything she puts her hands on in the kitchen, which our room is next to. So next we find out what is in the diary? I must also tell you before I go to sleep that I have so enjoyed the sex scenes you have written for this. The TLC is just beautiful and so befitting the story. Oh, don't get me wrong, I am totally into the hot, passionate, have me panting" I wish I could still do that kind of sex" but it's nice to see the love and lust that's tender and warm. I do hope that Sesshoumaru says "I love you" even though it's not in his persona to do so. I think all creatures love. Excellent update!!! So much happening and so many answers revealed. I am in awe as to how you keep up the pace. This fic deserves 10's all across the board. I was hoping Kagome would give Kagura a jolt of energy. I know she's unaware of her powers but it would have been great. And Kouga got off easy as far as I'm concerned. So Rin was killed along with Jaken because it was assumed Sesshoumaru would take her as his mate? Jaken was no doubt defending her. Kouga said the children were brought through the well and that there were other ways to her time...curious. Did she know about the well? I'm guessing he just started spewing his guts thinking she knew. Hmm, did I miss something? Oh no matter, you'll have it all summed up soon anyway. Time for sleep again. I'm averaging 12 to 14 hrs since I overworked my body for Christmas. I can honestly say it was all worth it though. I'm having my mom wake me on New Year's morning so I can watch the Rose Parade. Finally I am here. At Chapter the Sixth. Ah, what a wonderful world. I was giggling when I read through those lover-er-ly lyrics Kouga was belting out. Well, not really at the end of them, but the other verses were good!

I don’t understand why they always say ‘Drunk as a skunk’. Sure, it rhymes, but have you ever seen a skunk drunk? I know I haven’t. Maybe you have wherever you live. If you do, then I would have to wonder what is wrong with your water supply. Haha.

Kouga is a bad egg! He burned it! Well, I already knew it, but now it’s coming into…the light! Dun dun dun dunn! Kagome’s going to chop off his balls with a butter knife and puree them in a blender. Y-ouch!

Oh my... I'm simply loving this story, as I've said so many times before. This chapter, though I giggled a bit, really made me feel. I felt for the old man. I felt for Kagura and Kagome and poor little Kanna as Naraku looked through the mirror at her, perhaps only in her mind. I felt for Jak and wished his carefree self could triumph over anything and giggled when it seemed to do just that as he attacked Kouga and kept him there for Kagome... And I shuddered as Kagome approached Kouga, confronted him and whispered a simple, quiet querry of "Why?" You sent chills down my spine. I had to read that passage several times and found that each time the reaction was the same.
Well done, my dear friend. I can't wait for more.

Anyway…Sorry, but I have to make this one and the next one short. My Mom is having us go visit some relatives. That’s always fun!

Our family has a dog. He’s an American Eskimo and he’s really short. We’ve had people ask us, ‘Doesn’t he need a coat? Poor Duke.’ Some people just don’t see that a good handful of dogs don’t need coats. Once, I saw a full-grown male German Shepard and he had a sweater on…in November. Well, November, where I live, isn’t very cold at all. And German Shepards are on of the last canines to need a coat on unless they are a young pup living in the Yukon. In case you were wondering, German Shepards are my favourite breed of dogs. Common, but freaking awesome!

Any way, that was way off topic.

The kids destroyed Sesshoumaru’s room? Ooh! Not cool, man! Totally not cool! And you fooled me on that one. I was expecting him to ‘fume silently and inwardly curse the wretched fools who decided to reproduce such miniature monstrosities.’ Oh yes, I did not expect the reaction he gave.

Personally, if I were Kagome, I would be just about ready to blow a gasket. I’m always the last to know everything – especially around my friends – and it is one of my biggest pet peeves when people say, ‘Oh, I will tell you later.’ Sadly, later almost never comes. Or the teller mysteriously ‘forgets’ what they were going to say. Ugh!

Hmmm…Kagome seemed to have handled the news very well. Most people, including myself, would be beside themselves if they discovered that other…beings existed among us. Ooh…totally supernatural!

Ah, a lemon. What a perfect way to end the chapter. It was a nice, passionate one. Good job! Heehee…Jak was warning Gretchen about Inuyasha’s bad taste in food. Adorable!

Way to start off a chapter. All warm and fluffily, a little plum lovin’ scene going on. So cute, so…Christmas-y. I love Inuyasha! Razzing the lady at the store. My Dad does something like that, but not always in good humor. It’s funny to watch…most days.

Jak seems to have thing for Holtz. Holtz kinda reminds me of that guy from ‘Hogan’s Heroes’. Uh…crap…Shoalts! There we are! ‘I know nothing!’

Wow…Jak finally forgave him about Mount Hakurei. Man, some people can really hold a grudge sometimes. Haha.

Poor Miroku! He just fell right down! The poor guy. He is one of my favourite television characters ever! He completely rocks.

I absitively,posolutely loved the updates you gave us for Christmas. I did indeed get rest but then pumped up a little on my pain meds and gave my family a Christmas with a trimmed tree and a decorated and clean home for the holidays. I haven't been able to do this in 3 years and this year they all whined like pups so while Hubby and PJ were gone and Mom was napping, I went to setting up the living room for the tree. Mom woke the next day and when we three were out she decorated the tree. (I knew if left alone she would) and we had the greatest Christmas ever. We celebrated on the 24th because my husband had to work the 25th so he and I slept until he went to work and I slept off and on until the 28th when I was able to stay awake enough to read. You never disappoint me. These updates were so fun and flirty, sexy, hiliarious and down right fantastic that it's hard to pick out any one thing I liked best. Though I must say that the sexy parts with Sess and Kags is on the top of my list. And I knew that the home was the old Shrine. Kouga's redo of the song was funny as was his and Kagura having drunk sex. InuYasha's remark to Sesshoumaru to cum already was a favorite too. Dang, like I said, it was all great. I love this story! I know…that was terribly cliché, but it’s the truth. The one thing I adore most in the fanfiction world Christmas stories. Don’t ask why. I just do.

I adore that obvious, unbridled rage that our Kagome seems to have toward a certain demon. Kouga didn’t know what hit him! Inuyasha is very loveable in this story. In the majority of stories, he’s depicted as a complete asshole. Talk about a refreshing change! The relationship between Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha is unique too. At least they aren’t constantly yelling at each other, “No, you’re the bastard!”

And…Sesshoumaru…

Gotta love that Sesshoumaru. I don’t know if it is possible to be complicated yet simple all at the same time, but he managed it. The glasses are a very nice touch and his easy-to-hand-over-attitude about giving Kagome Inuyasha’s bathrobe. Very underhanded. Very funny. I love the use of billiards in the story. It’s a means of flirtation, I tell you! Flirtation!

I have meaning to read your other fic "this Sesshoumaru needs not a mate" for about forever, but knowing that I need a good few hours to do so I have not yet been able to. But I am so glad that I get to read one of your fics from the first chapter and let me tell you Wow!

I love your dialogue, it flows, but it is it is also snappy, quick, humorous and so real. I just love it!
And when I read 'dickless wonder' I almost fell off my chair, and here I was thinking I was the only one who called people that!! lmao. That was just great.

I really enjoyed this first chapter, it has me hooked already and I am so in the mood for a nice Christmas fic. I am ready to break out my hot cocoa and settle in for a lovely reading treat.

Good start! I really am enjoying the Kouga bashing (for some reason, I can't stand that character!) Kouga the invertibrate (great line, I was LOL! However, wouldn't Kouga actually pissing his pants be a better image for the invertibrate comment? Got a couple of questions, though (as if I ever do not have questions g>): Why is Kagome surprised at Inu's "genetic disorder", considering that she knows Kouga is a demon. Whyu wouldn't she know that there are hanyou? What is the deal between Sess and Kouga? If it deals with refusing Kags the funding, why would Sess turn around and offer to fund the orphanage if she wom the pool game? And wouldn't it be more appropriate for Sess and Kag to play chess? How is Houjo involved? So many answers, so little time. When will the next update be?

The site is accessible now so i thought I'd leave you your review. You already know how much i LOVE this story. Kouga's such an ass. What I really look forward to though is the sess/kag interactions. I think he'll be in for quite the treat with her.

I adore this story. I knew, just from reading the descriptions you'd sent that I would, but the truth has far exceded my hopeful expectations.

The language and descriptions- intelligent and witty. The plot-deliciiously humourous with a hint of sexiness.

Wonderfully started! I think that my favorite parts are when Sesshomaru said that a small figure was trying to scale the gate because I can picture her doing that so clearly in my mind. Also, his answer to why he wears the glasses. Just so plain in his 'I like them,' it made me laugh.

I adore Inuyasha's personality in this as well. He's just warm with that gruff undertone and I find it refreshing that he's not 'right off the bat' being a bastard (though I like his usual gruff self too). And *clears throat* KOUGA IS THE BIGGEST BASTARD I HAVE EVER SEEN!!

I can't wait for more, I've already fallen for this story! Awesome job!

Wow! This is great!! Very original. Were you a fan of the 80s cartoon "Jem and the Holograms" perhaps? About a cute chick with an orphanage that needs money and it burns down (and then raises money undercover as a rockstar, lol). Your story reminded me so much of it, it was my favorite show as a child. Anyway, can't wait to read more!
