this store was very entertaining until the later chapters in the story. i really wish you had labled this story as to alert everyone of the serious dark turn it had. i was expecting angst but i was not prepared for this. had i known it would have changed so drastically, i most likely would not have started this story. should definitely put in a warning earlier on in the story. maybe even in the description. thanks!

Great story, I loved it. It kept twisting and turning in all the right and wrong places. Excellent use of alternate background with Sessh to explain his actions and how we see him, but still true to his character.
The only criticism i have is not with your story, but with your authors notes. Dont explain so much, or try to justify to your readers what is happening, let your story do that. And dont tell us what is gonna happen in the next chapter, let a cliffhanger be... a cliffhanger.
Sorry, I'm not trrying to not-pick, I just think that your work can stand on its own without anything necessary to prop it up. out of all the things ive read on this site, i can honestly say that this is the most developed, thought out, and well writen piece of work. i loved it. and i hope to read the one that comes after it, you did a great job. i usually never send reviews but i had to with this one, it was that good

Okay, at the first test of her and Sesshoumaru's mating she sleeps with his brother, what's the difference now? As the saying goes "how can you rape the willing?"

Yeah, I think I'm gonna stop reading at this point (chap 34). It's really ironic how its a big deal with Kagome being true to character when it comes to her miko powers and ability and not any other part of her character. First off, she willingly went to Sesshoumaru like she will be in the feudal error forever, why I'm still confused about that. She completely forgot about her life beyond the well (so not like Kagome), her rag-tag group of shard detectors, and then she gives herself to Inuyasha. But if I recall correctly Kagome was extremely modest, so it confuses me as to how she gives of herself so easily. One more point, did everyone just forget that Kikyo killed Kagome in your story?! What's up with the life span issue? Will she live as long as he or die like the rest of us? It's not big problem either way, it was just a question that has been plagueing me.

Ok. I rarely, I mean rarely write a bad review. But at this chapter 34, I'm reading no further. This chapter ruined the story for me completely. Thus my plans to read the sequel are dropped. I had accepted my disappointment at her being so weak in her own defense because the author wanted her weak I guess. But having her screw Inuyasha while she's "suppose" to be mourning her "husband's" death is not in good taste. I know it's your story but I don't agree with your idea of how to handle emotions from a spouse's death. I'm sorry, but it just seems so gross to me.

Why oh Why is Kagome not using any of her Miko powers? I mean throughout the whole fic she hasn't used ANY WTF?

I am confused. First off, how did Inuyasha suddenly become half demon again? Secondly, why is it that after Inuyasha slept with Kikyo, NO ONE has brought up the fact that she killed Kagome and therefore that's more than any reason to be upset with the girl. (I have no personal grudge against her, but in your story she did kill Kagome.)

What happened to Kagome's miko powers? She should have been able to purify some of those @$$holes.

wow, so i could probobly write a muli-paragraph review for this story .. but i wont .. because i am lazy. So heres my little list...

Things I, Katie, loved:

I lolololoLOVED the fact that you didnt 'super miko' Kagome without a good reason. In the anime and manga she is kind of a weinie. brave, but she cant make barriers or purify on contact (she only did that once)

I loved the fact that you kept Inuyasha so in character. You didnt make him into a total a-hole who was putting her down and all of that. The whole raping her thing was majorly f-ed up... but, it enhanced the story rather than hindering it.

I loved the fact that you didnt have him leave her for kikyo or what ever. Inuyasha and Kagome love each other and i think that you kept that wonderfully.

I thought the whole gramps dying when they were conviniently discussing swords was kind if weak, but i get it you needed a reason for souta to find out that he could do that, so you had to do it .. i get it ... i just thought it was a little weak.

other than that the only other plot hole i think that was a little messy was .. why didnt Sesshoumaru take her through the well when she was impaled .. or shot .. or sliced... ? Who knows? I decided that it was because he didnt know about the well. That was just what I decided so that it wouldnt bug me.

But really, it was a great story. I really did enjoy it and i cant wait for the sequel to be done so i can read it. (I avoid unfnished fics.)

Umm, but from the parts gleam off of...I must ask...How do you rape the willing? How does a strong character like Kagome...ever the optimist....give up hope? How does one cheat on Sesshomaru? These are things that plague me about your fic. I may read it anyway to alleviate these burning questions. I now understand why the sequel is an angst/drama. Well, Kagome is most definitely a better person than I am, because there's no damn way that I would have forgiven Inuyasha. Not necessarily for the rape - I may have been able to understand the circumstances leading up to the heated moment. It was the way that he treated her afterward that was unforgivable. The cruel things that he said and the way he acted. Nope. No forgiveness here. I'm with Sess on this one. Slice and dice him! A wonderful ending to a wonderful story. There were epic proportions to this story but it never got out of hand. It stayed true to the original storyline and to the characters. I can truly appreciate how difficult this is as my daughter is also a fledgling author on FFNet. I beta for her and watch her agonize over plots and characterizations.

Wow! That was long and worth it. I mean I could really see it from the characters point of view but that thing about grandpa sorta starled me and took me by surprise. A sequal would be great and i be looking for it!

I think that was a wonderful story..though I think you were a bit too kind to Inuyasha in the end. I like the hanyou, and all, but, he RAPED her! I think a single, non-jaw breaking punch and some sweet words from Kagome was a bit too lenient, honestly. However, I really enjoyed the entire story over all and I am looking forward to the sequel once you have started posting it!

I'm completely in love with the InuYasha series and this was one of the best Kag/Sess Fanfic that i had come across. I'm extremely impressed that u mostly stuck to the characterists of each personality. Not very many of these stories use this. It was also oringinal. It's nice to read something different. When u got to the more detailed scenes (lemons) u kept it clean which surprised me because most of the fanfics did not. Good job u should do another one. I would like to read more of your writing. :)

That's pure chicken BS for someone to rate your story so badly that ratings fell that drastically. Frankly, I think that you've got the right idea ... ignore the beejeebers out of it!! This story is (and has been) one of my favorites, and I'm certainly not going to quit reading or reviewing just because some n00b decided to be stupid and rate it down.

That said, I loved this chapter. The way you finally got Kag and Sessh back together was nothing short of brilliant. Great job! This is one of the best fanfics I have ever read. You talk so in detail about the emotions that each charater feels. and you explain everything so well. You do a great job in protraying th story line and keeping the person reading on there toes, wondering what is going to happen next.

Nice job. I believe I enjoyed the resurrection scene the most. As for your ratings, well, that's happened to me before and I think you may find that some people vote low just to be mean. That's not very nice, I know, but true. It's happened to many other's as well. There were a few mistakes that may have caused some low votes. I want to go over a few things though. 1: your lemon was beutiful! 2: why don't you consider that she Should be more pwerful -in the miko sense- since kikyo died, and she Should have gotten the stolen part of her sould back! 3: I know for a fact, having seen in a episode somewhere...in the hundereds i think...i've seen that mikos can heal others, regardlese of race...so why can't kags re-grow his arm?
4: how did sesshy know that the beads could/would take him back through time? and how did he know only there could she be saved? did they talk about it or something?

I love this story so far. The detail you show towards Sesshomaru's past is incredible and it is the first time I have ever read a story where he loved a human and loathed them because the woman he loved died. It is a wonderful past and incredibly unique. Keep writing and I hope that the update is quick.

I think this chapter came out BEAUTIFULLY! What more could you want from it? Sesshoumaru's regret and guilt, InuYasha's guilt, the miscarriage ... Sesshy flying to the well to save her life ... geez, I think it had LOTS of action and major developments. And all rolled into one chapter, WOW!

also while Kagome is fighting the demon lady Jaken is trying to free Sesshomaru :) you can either make it that Sesshomaru is thrash so much Jaken can't free him or Sesshomaru is silently glaring at the fight and Jaken frees him just in time to see Kagome win... or get severely hurt and he kills the lady demon himself.... they then make up and blah blah blah :) you can make up the rest :)

maybe Rin could escape and find Kagome and tell her about Sesshomaru being in a dungeon then Kagome leaves Rin with Kaede and goes to rescue him with Kouga, Kirara, Miroku and Sango... and maybe shippo seeing how he might have grown stronger between now and then.. they sneak into the castle because they have to few a numbers to defeat that many highly trained guards.. so they sneak in and find the dungeon Kouga, Miroku and Sango get stuck fighting a demon leaving Kagome to release Sesshomaru... along the way she finds Jaken in a cell and releases him... when they get to Sesshomaru's cell which is at the very bottom of a dungeon.... they open it to find Sesshomaru being kissed by that girl demon... i dano what would happen next... maybe a cat fight over Sesshomaru... i'm giving you this idea because it wanted to be said please feel free to use it :) or just some of it :) or none at all :)

I really like how you portray Kagome as a real person instead of "an almighty kick-ass heroine." It gives your story a little somethin'-somethin'. Keep up the awesome writing, and dont take any shit from our reviewers:-p.

Quite the shocking twists in the past couple of chapters!! It was EXTREMELY surprising to have Sesshy's advisors turn on him like that, but a very refreshing plot device. Usually, most major events are hinted at so frequently that the reader often finds themselves practically begging the author to get on with it. Not so in this story, obviously!

For those who may not agree with your portrayal, I can only offer the sage advice that, I'm sure, you've received from many others ... you should write YOUR story for YOURSELF. If others enjoy it, so much the better. If not, it's not like there's a shortage other stories for people to read, is it?? ;)

kagome's power is within her; miko to ward off demon so her power should off at least surface and purify the demons; as for sessh being over power by his advisor and soldiers, well you are just showing that he is weak and not the sessh that is protray in the anime, which is a strong beast that can over power those weaklings; i mean centuries of living not only build up strenght but wit and smarts and probably some magic; one more point on kag's defense, all that traveling and fighting demons, well you think she'll learns some trick or two... oh well, it is what it is........ good luck

I really like your story but the only thing that kinda throws me off is that Kagome is so weak. She is not even using her miko powers or anything. Usually when she is in danger that is when they are the strongest. I guess that is how you want her pertrade but how could she be a guardian of the jewel and she is so weak. I hope everything will come to light in the next couple of chapters but that said you did catch me by surprise with this chapter. I was not suspecting anything like this to happen. The next chapter I can imagine is going to be really interesting.

Story is great and all, but why is she so defenceless? Kagome is a miko, her powers would act if she was in such danger. I just don't understand. It really annoys me when people make Kagome so helpless, but I assume you have a reason. Again great story, just needed to get that off my chest.

Love the story.

I have a couple of questions though, in which I could have just missed the answers when reading this story.

Kagome is a miko, so I don't understand why she did not use her miko abilities even if they are so raw and untrained. The other question is why would Sesshoumaru let his advisors control him in a certain fashion when he seems to always demand authority. I mean Sesshoumaru is the Lord of the Western Lands, so his advisors as well as soldiers should not have raised their swords towards Sesshoumaru unless they are planning to overthrow him as Lord.

Okay, sorry about the long-winded questions. I don't mean to question your story in anyway but I was just curious with the answers to the questions that popped up into my head while reading the last chapter (chapter 31).

I like your story it was very well writen. As for the lemon I feel it could have been a little better. In the story having Sesshoumaru withdraw before he climaxes will build up his antiption and want more and more until he releases in or out of Kagome. I think you should let Kagome get pregnant because she is stronger than his last wife. I think Kagome would make a good mother to Sessoumaru's children even if they are half breeds.

Firstly let me start by saying you write beautifully, it flows gently and your writing captures lovely images...I especially enjoyed the "whoosh" and fanning of Sess' hair, I could just see that happening!! But I wonder if Kagome is being a bit too simplistic in her affections...and I really wonder if she left Inu because of her feelings of inadequacy with Kikyo then how will she feel when she finds out about Sess' human dead wife? Isn't she still just a pale imitation? As always I eagerly await your next chapters!!!

I absolutely LOVE the idea of Sota being a main character in the story! I always thought that he was an adorable kid and wondered why there wasn't more about him in the anime! Great idea to use him as a catalyst to move the storyline along!

This is such a great story. I have to admit, at first I wasnt really loving the fact that Sesshomaru had apast mate....but you seem to have worked it into the plot nicely. (poor Kagome though, either shes the new Kikyo or the new Minako) Eh, anywho, cant wait to see how this turns out. I have faith in your abilities to give Kagome a happy ending :)

I am really enjoying this story. I think you are right in having Sess a little OOC in this chapter. Because he was describing a time when was a different person. I think it was needed because we really would not been able to see the warmer side of him as well as Kagome would not be able to make the connection with him. I am looking forward to seeing how this story unfolds.

It's cute really i think that softer side of Sesshomaru is expressed really well in this chapter. But i am sort of upset Kagome misses Inuyasha he is nothing but a jerk, and Sesshomaru is stupid for making sucha foolish vowel as to never take another gez he is a guy. how can he not.

This is so sad. I feel sorry for both Inu brothers. Poor Kags is always getting battered by both. I'm surprised that her neck has been broken from being choked nearly to death in such a short period of time. She is so fragile...why is she not dead?

I think history will repeat it self and Sess and Kags will mate then Sess will will have the family and love that he desperately needs and wants.

He will no longer mourn over Minako and the daughter he lost because Kags will give him what he needs. *sniffles & tears*

I found your fanfiction very interesting and I can't wait to see where it's going to go - although I know our favorit characters will end up together, it's the twist and turns I love to read about. I only have one question for you. At the hot spring in the 3rd chapter - if my memory is not falling me - did Sesshoumaru kiss Kagome, or was she daydreaming about it? It was never made clear and it confused me all the way to the 11th chapter.

Very nicely done. This is a rather interesting fic. I can't help but feel bad for Kagome, though. First she's got the Kikyou resemblance to deal with with Inuyasha. And now Sesshomaru only seems to be developing interest for her because of her resemblance to Minako. When does she get to be just Kagome to someone? Just Kagome and not a shade of someone else?

I reall like this story, though i haven't read all the chapters yet.
But I do have a sugestion for you. While in a book paragraphes are as "compact" as they are in your story, it is a bit straining to read compact ones on the screen. it makes it easier for the reader to concentrate on the story, if one gives 1.5 spacing instead of one.
and it has th esideeffect of making the chapter seem longer(not that your chapters are short!). Well anyway, sorry for the grammer, i'm not a native english speaker. bye
