Thank you for reading and reviewing TBC! I'm so glad you gave it a chance, and stuck with me. Thats always so special to me, to hear when my readers have taken a chance on a story they might have doubts about. I hope it continues to meet expectations.
I also appreciated the points of view you shared. I'd like to explain a little my reasons for how i worked things out.
1) Why the candidates were described as ignoring Rin. At this stage in the stor things are still new and highly competative. The girls get very little time with Sesshomaru to make an impression, and had to take that opportunity - but rather than trying to impress him by bonding with Rin they tried to bond with him instead. They weren't being intentionally neglectful, just very focused on Sesshomaru. As a mother myself I find that a lot of people without children sometimes don't really "listen" to kids and it comes off as them ignoring them. I was amping up the fact that Kagome has a ward of her own, and thusly is more at ease with children and knows how to interact with them. This is important because, obviously having a ward of her own will be an important part in their relationship.
2) Ryo's personality. I was hinting towards there being more to Ryo that meets the eye. Yes she's an absolute pain in the butt - every story needs a villian. I wanted my readers to think that maybe there is a deeper story to her. This is of course something I wont be ellaborating on YET, but if you stick with me, you'll come to understand Ryo better. She has MANY layers.

I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying re-reading Fuyu no Shimekiri! I was never as happy with this one as it was my first attempt at a Sess/Kag, and Sesshoumaru isn't the easiest character to get a handle on. But I've found it's good to go back and read them for myself just to see how my characterization of him has changed.

Thank you for reviewing on Fuyu no Kokoro! And yes, Inuyasha made his bed... to tell the truth, I love Inuyasha, and so writing this was really hard for me. It's actually easier for me to write stories where he's a total ass, because it's not in character, and he doesn't get hurt, than it is for me to write something like this, where he's a good guy - who just messed things up too badly to fix.

I have a hard time hurting my poor Inuyasha... but the story came out the way it did, so...
