Secondly, the upsides to the relationship don't come from Sesshomaru for a long time, they come from her relationship with the other concubines. There will be a turning point, a time when he is gentler and not nearly as cruel but that has development to build up to, tearing down any form of trust they could have and then letting it build up again when the tables turn and Kagome is the one with more power in the situation than Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru needs to change, and that is what this story is about. It's a practice for me to build characters, from flat 'she's the rational one, she's the b*tch, she's the *ss' to 'she's rational but it comes from years of mistakes, she's a b*tch but she's gone through hell and back and got nothing for it, and she's an *ss because she doesn't like whoever because they remind her of someone she has legitimate reasons to hate'.

Hope that helped a little, and yes Kagome will bare him heirs (they will be full demon because she isn't so stupid to not drink the tea) but it takes a while for her to get pregnant. Sesshomaru in this story is exactly the most potent of males if you know what I mean.
