Yes, unfortunately, I wrote The Demon Lord's Bride as a one shot for the reader prompt I received. I'm very, very sorry to disappoint you - I genuinely felt bad when I got your reviews.

That said, I'm sorry but I will not be continuing this story. :/

Quite honestly I don't have enough interest in this world and setting to want to extend The Demon Lord's Bride into a chapter story. I think it's because my past two long chapter fics have centred around an arranged marriage or a marriage of convenience, which means I've been writing a story with a similar scenario for the past 9 years. Much as I love both tropes I just want to do something different for a change.

I don't know how much of a consolation this will be, but I do have two new chapter fics that I'm working on. One that's already being updated (a historical AU fic titled Sengoku Love Story), and one I've been working on since LAL ended (a modern AU fic).

Unfortunately my job doesn't allow me to write as much as I would like to, hence why it takes me awhile to update. But just know that I don't plan on dropping the story.

Now for a comment on your review for 'A Tale of Souls and Swords'.
The reason the gods made the decision to take the soul of the winning champion is because they want to keep balance and order. Kikyo is a good example of this, she originally was the champion of light but due to Akuma's interference, she died before she could take her journey. Her pride and anger over this turned her dark, which Akuma took advantage of. So this is something that gods don't want to happen after the war, with someone being too over powered, that champion could cause devastating damage if they were ever to turn dark.

But you are right, Kagome is different and this time around things are not going to go like the other wars. Kagome will be taken down a path that not only she will be unprepared for but also completely unexpected to even the gods.

Writing battle scenes is pretty tough, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Haha to answer your question about Sesshoumaru's gold eyes, I figured that since this fanfic is a little more historical-fantasy leaning, that I'd keep Sesshoumaru's gold eyes. Also he's too pretty not to have them lol.

There are some details that are missing and my writing has improved to the point that this needs to be reworked. It's one of the ones that I hope to have revised soon since it is shorter than most.
