Wisteria-Chapter 50
Picture information
Description:
So this little piece is for Miss Teak's story, Wisteria. This particular scene is from Chapter 50, which takes place in the garden. I chose to dress Sesshoumaru a little differently as the story did not mention what he wore (only Kagome wearing a white yukata) and I didn't want so much white.
While I love the story, I'm not sure how I feel about this pict. I tried some new techniques. The blurry part at the way bottom is supposed to be the stream that they are standing in. Cherry blossoms in the pict as they are mentioned and pretty easy to draw.
Anyway, I felt that I worked with this pict way to long and had to let it go finally.

I saw it and I immediately knew it was from Wisteria... you managed to capture the essence between those two :)
Kagome's facial expression is perfect - she was supposed to be hurting on the inside, and was also confused and craved freedom from her pain. The way she stared up into Sesshoumaru's eyes while tearing is priceless. As for Sesshoumaru, I don't see why you had doubts with regards to his facial expression. It's amazing! He looks like he wanted to say something (there is a hint of eagerness) yet he is unable to express his concern. That was exactly how I intended for him to feel in chapter 50 - Sesshoumaru was hurting over the fact that Kagome was bent on committing suicide, but at the same time, he had to hold himself back from comforting her physically. So he was supposed to be upset and concerned, but at the same time, kinda awkward and reserved towards her. Now take a look at what you've drawn...doesn't it reflect what I've just said? So, to put it simply, this is awesome. I love it. Thank you so much for drawing this!
Why, thank you! Sesshoumaru's expression gave me the hardest time. I had to draw him concerned but he would look too concerned and out of character or he would look angry. I ended up trying to go with neutral.
