Prompt: Reindeer

     Kagome was looking at the reindeer and Santa costume that Sano and Satoshi were eyeing with distaste.  She was trying to persuade them to wear them and give out the gifts but the two college age males were having none of it.  Kagome pouted and looked to Sango for help but the other woman just pointed to the reindeer costume with a grimace. 

     “Can’t one of us just be an extra elf?”  Satoshi whined out looking at the red nose that came with the outfit.  It was horrid and he really wanted to do anything but wear that. 

     “You have to wear tights with the elf costume.”  Kagome stated trying to persuade the boys out of the elf costume. 

     “Maybe we can reach a compromise?”  Sango stated reaching for the attached ears that came with her elf costume.  “If we’re wearing reindeer antlers then maybe, one of the boys could wear antlers like ours and a red nose?  So, kind of like a reindeer and kind of like an elf.” 

     “Do I have to wear the red nose?” Sano stated looking at the nose with disgust.  “I feel like that reindeer from that song- what was it again?” 

     “Rudolph.”  Satoshi supplied with a smile.  The others stared at him wondering how he had supplied the name so easily.  “What- I have nephews.” 

     “Okay.”  Kagome looked at the reindeer costume with a sigh and then placed it away.  “I’ll get another elf costume and you two-“ she pointed at the boys, “one of you two will wear that red nose.  Got it.”  The men grumbled and she glared at them.  “Kids boys- smiles on the kids’ faces.” 

     “Okay then.”  Now that costumes were decided, Kagome smiled and the day continued.
