Chapter 1: To Protect..?

Hey Guys This is my First Fanfic so be nice :)

I originally drew this out in my own Doujinshi format but now decided to make it into words

No MA content Yet but may get sexual in later chapters which I will warn when the time comes :)

Also: I dont own any of the Inuyasha characters all belong to RT but I do own whoever I make up :)

Updates will be 2 chapters or more a week. Leave a review please on what I should make better or any ideas

The sliver full moon within the darkness of the night blue sky shone down below on a barren field of snow, which glistened under the feet of two powerful beings. The older looking daiyoukai stood on the edge of a cliff staring up at the moon as blood trickled down his arm and stained the pure whiteness of the snow. His sliver hair in a ponytail dancing with the winter wind. The other, much younger, stood a fair distance away. His amber eyes locked onto the person infront of him. Two Magenta stripes adorned his cheeks as well a crescent moon on his forehead. His stare was full of hate. His own sliver hair playing loosely in the wind.

"Sesshomaru...does your lust for power control you so much as to dare challenge your own father...?" the older inuyoukai asked in a deep tone.

.

Silence...

.

"I will become the strongest amongst the lands, I will challenge anyone who claims to be more powerful and rise above all...even if I must go through you, give me tessaiga and so'unga ..submit to me, for father you in this state will not even be a match for me.." Sesshomaru spoke calmly as he flexed his fingers, ready to strike.

.

"Master Inutaisho I say you teach this brat a lesson for speaking out of place..." a small flea spat as he leaped onto the older youkais shoulder. Inutaisho smirked. "Tell me something son..." 

.

Sesshomaru arched a brow as he watched his fathers aura flare and begin to circle around him like a hurricane. 

.

"Do you have something to protect..?"

.

"Protect? ..." his brows wrinkled."This Sesshomaru has Nothing!" he spat as the tips of his fingers began to glow green of poison.

.

"I see..." Inutaisho answered disappointedly. "then you are not as strong as you think,"

 Before young sesshomaru managed to spring forth, his father howled under the moon in his true form and leapt into the sky. 

The young inuyoukai watched in silence then turned to leave, remembering his fathers last words...

"Lord Sesshomaru!" 

He opened his eyes slightly at the call of his name and stared off into the darkness of the woods where he watched in annoyance, his loyal toad running towards him,  tripping over a twig and falling face first.

"Jaken." 

The petite toad demon froze at his name in fear. "My apologies Mi Lord!" He croaked as he leapt back onto his feet. "Mi Lord, Inuyasha and his pathetic group are camping not far from here! I say this is a perfect chance to attack and take the tetsaiga!"

Getting to his feet, Sesshomaru looked down at the little human who had cuddled next him by the tree then turned and began to walk towards the direction Jaken had come from. "Watch Rin," came his expressionless voice as it disappeared within the darkness.

"Inuyasha! Come your ramens ready!" Kagome called out to the hanyou who was perched in a tree watching the stars. "Yeah yeah coming!" he called back as he sniffed the air. 

.

'I coulda swore I sniffed his scent close by..' he thought to himself as he leaped down from his perch and made his way towards the group. 

.

"Flithy Half Breed Inuyasha.."

.

Inuyasha snarled as he instantly turned to face what he knew was coming. 

.

"Keh, what brings your cold bastard ass here? If it's for tessaiga then just try and come and get it from me!" he spat as he grabbed the hilt of his sword. 

.

"Hn, that will be an easy task," The tai replied calmly. 

.

"Oh yeah, how about the other times you failed? Easy my ass!" Inuyasha mocked with a large grin on his face as he pulled tetsaiga out in it's true form. 

.

Sesshomaru growled in annoyance and sprang forth. Bringing out his poison claws. Inuyasha swung his massive sword, but Sesshomaru easily dodged by ducking and swiftly swiped, raking his poison claws across inuyashas chest then gave him a full strength uppercut.

.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome screamed in fear watching the love of her life fly into the air. Sango and Miroku gasped watching the scene. Yet Sesshomaru was not done. Like a lion after his prey, the mighty Tai leapt after him and punched down his hardest into the hanyou's stomach. Blood splattered out of his mouth as he began to decend back to the ground. Managing to get ahold of himself he managed to flip and land on his feet but fell on one knee, grasping his wound. His fire rat robe was now soaking with dark crimson blood.

"Stay back Kagome!" He groaned as he lifted himself up. 

.

"Your are not only a disgrace to our family name but to the demon race, your surrounded by humans, your so weak it disgusts me." Sesshomaru spat. 

.

"Keh I have to be strong in order to protect the ones I care about, so I don't care about what you have to say" He held tessaiga as it pulsed and changed to its crystal like state.

.

'Protect...'

.

 "ADAMANT BARRAGE!"  Inuyasha yelled as he slammed Tessaiga down watching with a grin at the wave of diamonds now aimed for his brother. Sesshomaru smirked and gracefully flew into the air. Inuyasha swung again and again, grumbling each time he missed.

.

"Do you have something to protect?"

. 

His fathers voice entered his mind. He snarled in disgust. It was a weakness not a strength, the very reason for his fathers downfall infact.

.

"Lord Sesshomaru!" came a sweet little voice. His eyes widened as he turned to see his Rin running into the clearing. Inuyasha not noticing Rin swung again. "Inuyasha No! Rin!" Kagome screeched running towards the little girl. Inuyashas eyes widened. "I..I didnt see her!" he gasped. Sesshomaru eyed the attack from the corner of his eye and sped as fast as he could in panic.

'Im not going to make it' Sesshomaru clenched his teeth. If she was harmed then death for the hanyou was certain. 

.

Rins scream pierced his ears as he grabbed ahold of her. Diamonds piercing through the sleeves of his haori. Rin screamed again but this time in pain. Sesshomaru glanced down to see shards  emebbeded into her flesh. He tried to halt but his speed exceeded his normal and went flying towards a tree to stop. Turning his back towards the tree so Rin would not be affected he held onto her tightly with his one arm. His body broke several trees before coming to a stop. His eyes sprung open watching Kagome run towards them. He gave a warning growl as he got to his feet and began to walk away, Rin still in his arms.

"Sesshomaru! Is she okay?!" Kagome questioned as she stopped few meters away, But Sesshomaru kept walking ignoring her completely. "SESSHOMARU!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. "I asked if Rin was okay." He stopped walking and tilted his head, freezing Kagome with his glare. "It is not of your concern.." his voice faded as he turned into his orb and dashed away.

"Jerk," she grumbled under her breath. 

.

"Kagome!" Inuyasha called out running up to her. "Let's go I'm sure that prick wont be back anytime soon," he smirked. "yeah..." Kagome sighed glancing back into the trees one last time.

.

"I just hope Rins alright..."

Sorry This chapter was Kinda short but theres more to come! Infact a lot of the chapters are getting much longer!
