Only time will tell by Tsuki Ai
Chapter 1
“Konnichiwa Sesshomaru-sama,” Rin said, bowing to her lord. “Rin has missed you.”
“I trust you are well,” Sesshomaru stated while discreetly looking her over for wounds or signs of sickness.
Rin smiled at him, displaying her pleasure, not just of being well, but also about his care for her.
She began gesturing to her plain pink kimono, “Oh yes. Lady Kaede and Lady Kagome have been taking great care of Rin. Lady Kagome is even teaching Rin how to sew.” At those words, Sesshomaru glanced at the kimono and noticed while it was not perfect, it was an adequate effort.
Noticing where her guardian was looking, she exclaimed, “Rin worked on it for two days!” Sesshomaru nodded his head, acknowledging her words.
Shortly after Rin began filling her lord in on her actions in his absence, Kaede came out of her hut and called for Rin to come join her. Rin skipped off after bidding her lord a request to stay for a little while longer.
Feeling someone watching him, Sesshomaru turned to the voyeur. A few feet behind him stood Kagome in the door of her hut with a small, amused smile on her face.
“Ohayou Sesshomaru-sama. Would you like some tea while you wait?” When it appeared that no answer was forthcoming, Kagome turned to go back into her hut.
“If Rin had required a new kimono, you need only to send word.”
Kagome turned back to face him. “She didn’t need a new kimono. She just happened to see me making one and wanted to learn. So I taught her,” she answered in the simplest way. “Now she plays in that kimono so she doesn’t ruin the ones you bring her.”
“Hn.”
Smiling softly at the reply, Kagome went inside to make tea.
Sesshomaru followed soon after.

This is a drabble series to just get back into writing. It will not be a quick love story as at the end of the manga, they were allies, but not truly friends. However, with Rin staying in the village and Kagome's personality, that's bound to change.
Just a note, there will probably not be any real conflict as I want to keep it very light. I'll try to update every couple of days. They will always either be 100, 200, 300 or 500 words and each will be a short scene as we see them grow closer. The rating will change, but not for quite a while.
Also: I don't own Inuyasha...only my imagination.
