Him delaying dumping Kagura is just wrong. Pretty convenient, just in case Kagome's theory of him having withdrawal syndrome is correct. What a coward. Best thing would be Sess to confront Kagura, ask for a temporary break, and then go on a sabbatical of sorts. Once he's alone -- get a hobby, learn new things -- basically just do whatever he fancies to do to clear his head and then re-evaluate his love life last. Does he want the adventurous and vivacious ex who cheers him up during his downtime or does he want the calm, business-savvy, 'we're-compatible-in-all-things', almost robotic current gf? I still can't forgive him when he dismissed Kagome as a pretentious enthusiastic listener focused on her 'narrow-mind biochemistry research' and painted Kagura as a socially kind, helpful colleague that gives practical comments that helped him navigate through his projects. Screw him! Then after all the hurtful things he pulled, suddenly his happiness depended on Kagome's presence? He's so fickle, I can't stand it! But props to you for Sesshoumaru's character progression. You worked it so seamlessly.

On the other hand, I really love how Kagome is coping and I'm happy she's got an awesome support system behind her back. Something Sesshoumaru lacks. Does he have any friends outside his colleagues by the way? Methinks he needs some fresh perspective to help him make sense of his convoluted life.

Ah, I miss this story. As usual, I curled and teared up after another re-read. Looking forward to the next chapter! I can't wait for Sesshoumaru to find out about Ike!

I really like this story... interesting, thought-provoking, and entertaining.  Even with the angst-like components, it's not overdone.  It's believable and can be seen as real-life people.  I look forward to more chapters, and hopefully it won't take months for new updates to appear! :)  Keep up with the writing.

It's me again!! I am really loving this story. I like that what's happening is realistic. As much as I like canon fanfics with magical powers and curses, it's nice to read something that happens to everyday people. I can't wait to read tje next chapter!

THEN MAYBE HAVE KAGOME HAVE A REAL=LIFE DEATH EXPERIENCE ,,,WHEN SHE DIES ON THE OPERATING TABLE.......AND IS RESUSITATED WITH CPR AND WHEN SHE FINALLY WAKES UP IN THE HOSPITAL.....SHE REALIZES THAT SHE WILL NEVER STOP LOVING SESS AND SHE HAD TO FIGURE OUT IF SHE IS GOING TO RECONSIDER AND GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE TO MAKE IT UP TO HER AND DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME AROUND ....BUT SHE WILL EXCEPT NOTHHING LESS THAN MATING AND HAVING LOTS OF PUPS FROM NOW TIL END OF THEIR LIFE WHEN THEY PASS ON TOGETHER.

Ugh... I'm not sure if I want Kagome to ever get back with Sesshomaru even though I've shippped Kag/Sessh since 2001. But I can't help feeling that with the way you've been writing it can be a slow and painful life for Sessh as he learns a life lesson while Kagome gets her happy ending without him. I think I'd be fairly okay with it.. this story really does make all the feelings just hang out and make you want to curl in bed. Anyway thank you for the update and can't wait to read more !

Yes!!finally caught up with FF chapters now I am really excited to read an update . I am willing to read a bit more of Sesshomaru's suffering (evil) even tough he is my fav character ;he deserves it. Since he is looking at Kagome's FB page it will be good if there will be a new post by her or tag with her old crush having a blast (take that Sesshomaru) heheheh . Great advice by her brother.
