And perhaps that is his plan all along? Surely she cannot be that naiive. When any male shows you that much attention you know he must be after something - whether it is a one night stand or something more. Heck, by now she should at least have suspected he had other reasons for helping her and making her pack and not just a guest or even a reluctant guest. He did not have to travel with her, merely point her in another direction. Or, if one thought it was because they were allies, he wouldn't necessairly offer conversation, protection, ensuring she and her kit had food to eat, and so on. He's attending to all of her needs.

As smart as Kagome is, she is a bit slow and naiive when it comes to other male interests. But, Sesshomaru has been a bit obvious about what he is doing. Why does he do everything he does? Though it is funny to see her struggling with her feelings now that she knows about it. I'm anticipating when her previous pack sees her. They did, after all, leave her defenseless and completely vulnerable.

Just because she was cursed and her powers temporairly lost, does not mean Naraku would leave her alone. It's not like what he did was permanent and she would never be a threat again. One thing Naraku is not, is a chance taker. As soon as she was vulnerable and weak, he would make plans to kill her off just to ensure she never got her powers back and would be a threat again. And her pack left her alone with no defense except a poor village and an elderly miko. What does that say about them? Perhaps Sango did not think of it, but surely Miroku in his wisdom would have realized it by now and Inuyasha should have known this.

I hope when Sesshomaru and Kagome do end up meeting the Inutaichi, they get rebuffed for their betrayl to Kagome. She may understand their reasonings, but the point is, they left her, the village, and her kit very vulnerable to all of their enemies and especially Naraku. They also were very cowardly - they left when she was unconcious and did not even stay to ensure she would wake up and would have no other side effects. They also left her without even attempting to find a way to break the curse. At the least, they should have stayed to protect her until she woken then send her through the well but they did not even give her that curtesy. Very cowardly of them.

I love this story. Is Sesshomaru slowly asserting his claim over Kagome and also showing her he can provide/take care of her? This is so cute. Thanks for the update and great story so far.
